We had an excellent dinner and we loved the atmosphere and vibe of Shore. However, there was a board that had apparently fallen off the edge of the booth and my husband cut is leg on the exposed nails. The manager apologized briefly, but I would have expected a little more attention to matter...maybe offering a bandaid of a free drink.
Excellent all around!
Great dinner outside
I loved the ambiance. My only criticism is that the food portions were small.
The service was friendly and not obtrusive. The menu provides good choices and the dishes we chose turned out to be excellent -- well prepared and beautifully served. Add reasonable pricing and it is hard to find any fault at all with this restaurant.
Outstanding ambiance, service and food. Consistently, our favorite place to dine when we are here on Longboat.
Great as usual
Best meal I've had this Season. They just nailed all 5 meals my group had. Keep up the great work!
Lovely setting and decor. Original artistic elements. Very good service. We were seated in the quiet section of restaraunt which was perfect for that night. Flatbread topped with grilled veggies, hold the goat cheese, sub some San Danielle ham- yum. Very accommodating if you have food allergies, btw. Small salad and a glad of red wine. My dining companion loved the clam chowder.
Not cheap but priced accurately, the value is there.
Beautiful ambiance, good portions are small compared to prices (ribeye & seafood risotto, burger/fries, mac & cheese side to frued chicken), taste of food was a bit blah (fried chicken). Over $125 for family of 4 - should not leave hungry. Service was ok, nothing spectacular.
Food was amazing. We had the kung pow calamari, the chopped salad and the lemon risotto with shrimp and scallops. So flavorful in all the right proportions. Sizes are moderate and if you are used to what most American serving sizes are, you may want to order a few appetizers. Sitting outside on a nice night is so wonderful. Restaurant is on the second level so you get to look over the street without having people walk right by you. Will definitely be back.
My waiter (Austin) was excellent. Food was good but the sushi was too fussy. The Thai curry mussels were incredibly tender and yummy but the broth was flavorless.
Great job by Cheryl!
Excellent dinner. Great healthy food choices in a beautiful setting & location. Waitress was very pleasant & professional.
Savannah did a great job of serving us and making sure that my husband’s dietary needs were met.
Shore is our favorite St. Armand’s restaurant.
Our waitress was super nice. Her name was Catie
Have been here a few times and its always excellent.
Pleasant evening. Thanks
Love the food and vibe. Excellent waiter too
Fun atmosphere and good food! We had a table on the balcony which was really nice!
This dinner was a celebration of our 46th anniversary, so we wanted it to be special. First trip here, we arrived about 20 minutes early for our reservation & were seated right away. We sat in the lounge area which was nicely decorated and comfortable. Our server asked about our drink order & what we ordered was not well known but he thought they might have just received some so he went to the bar to make sure, yes they had it. Our food was tasty & presented very well, portions were perfect, filling but not to the point of feeling stuffed. We were a little worried about parking since the area of the restaurant has many shops & restaurants, previous trips to this location often resulted in driving around hoping to find a place to park. Voila, there is a new parking garage right behind the restaurant, free on weekends...that's why were were early for our reservation, no driving around.
Excellent! Great food and excellent service.. never disappointed
What a great dining experience. Great ambiance, great service, fabulous food.
First time at Shore but it tops our list for classy venue, delicious inventive food beautifully presented and first class service from Michael.
See our review on TripAdvisor. It was not good at all.
I would go to Shore for the Golden Tomato Soup alone
Food and service was excellent. Shaun (maybe Sean?) sorry I can’t remeber how it was spelled, either way he was a great server. The place was beautiful and I would definitely go back my next trip down that way.
Waitstaff was great. Food came out quick. Would visit again.
We had a reservation and went to the bar for a cocktail before we sat down. The bartender wasn’t very friendly so we only gave her a 15 percent tip. She never came back to see if we liked our drinks. It doesn’t take too much to be nice to people.
Then we were seated and had Casey as our server. She was absolutely a breath of fresh air! We mentioned that it was my birthday month and she took it upon herself to give us a dessert on the house. Thank you!!!
Has become a repeat spot when we come to Lido.
The two of us really enjoyed our dinner at Shore and would recommend it to others and go there again ourselves. We were there at 6:45 p.m. on a Tuesday and they were very busy. When we reserved on OpenTable we requested a quiet table, so were seated along the back wall, where tables for two were lined up along a banquette. The tables were far enough apart that we did not feel like people were right next to us or could overhear our conversation. We both have some hearing problems in noisy places and had no problem hearing each other here; there was constant noise but it was not intrusive at all. The service was friendly and efficient; the only thing we had to ask for was salt and pepper which wasn't on any of the tables. The food was very good. We asked to split the brussels sprout salad and were offered the option of having this done in the kitchen for an extra $2, and the waiter said we would each get more that way so we did it. The salads were plenty big and were what we needed salt and pepper for as we found them a little bland; they could have used a bit of sugar or more of the candied nuts. One of us had the Ahi Tuna Mignon, which was very good, and the other had the Miso Marinated Black Grouper, which was outstanding. We also shared a dessert, a chocolate Irish bread pudding with pistachio ice cream, which was good, similar to a lava cake but not gooey in the middle. In all, this is a very nice spot for a good meal.
We enjoyed great food but service could have been better.
Food service was rushed. Brought salad and apps at the same time.
My The Thai One drink had a birds eye chile pepper in it. Normally it is very tasty. I couldn't drink it because the chile made burn my throat. I had the branzino dish. It was good. My husband's cocktail, The Barrel Aged Cocktail, which had bourbon it was very good. He had the miso grouper for dinner and he liked it.
Food and ambiance were great but music was loud and hard to converse. Classical Instrumental music would be awesome to hear while dining. Thank you!
The best food and view on st Armand’s
Awesome server Ms. Richards and first time for brunch- menu was filled with so many items we wanted all- so a return “visits” are on the agenda
Food and ambiance were outstanding. Servers were too busy to be friendly. Very good experience.
I have been to Shore three times now and the food is always excellent. This is one of my favorite places to eat in the Sarasota area. I usually sit inside but the last time we went we sat outside in the front where they opened the awnings after the sun went down. It was perfect. I love this place.
Shore continues to be one of our favorite Sarasota restaurants. Our dinner was excellent ( grouper for all, salad, sides). Despite a very crowded Saturday night, the service was excellent. Very hospitable hostess
