Shoals Seafood Restaurant is the brainchild of Sean and Sarah Perkes. Established in 2014, the once storage room for the open air seawater pool has been transformed into a unique fish lovers dream. The small family run restaurant and outside terrace provide beautiful coastal views across the bay and beyond.

Shoals is very hard to beat in terms of the view, especially on a lovely summer's evening when diners are treated to spectacular sunsets. We've been dining regularly at Shoals for several years now, and have always been happy. Historically mains came with a choice of chips or new potatoes, and peas or salad. On our most recent visit however this had changed, sides now need to be ordered separately which now makes Shoals more of a special occasion location for us - as delicious as the food was, £40 for monkfish with a side order of potatoes (which worked out at about £1/potato!) and a side of asparagus (which worked out as around £1/spear) is steep. Without sides it was £28 - steep for a main without any veggies. The portion size of the fish was generous, I would gladly have forfeited 20% of the fish to have had it served with some veggies at the same price. The wine list has remained the same and is very good. Shoals continues to be one of our favourite restaurants in Brixham, and we will continue to dine there, just a bit less frequently than we used to as a result of the change in pricing.

What a great experience, a nice selection and really well prepared. Not only the food is great but also the view over the sea. Friendly service. The place is very much sought after, so make sure you reserve in advance!

Eaten at Shoals a number of times and as ever an excellent meal at reasonable price with great service. Would highly recommend if you like fresh fish and shellfish.

Second time at Shoals and it didn’t disappoint. Beautifully cooked, freshest fish. Amazing view. Friendly and helpful staff. Really enjoyed our food and visit. Already looking forward to our third visit in the future.
