   I booked a 7:00PM reservation through Open Table for Tuesday September 24, 2024 and I received an Email reservation confirmation from Open Table To the dismay of myself and my girlfriend the restaurant was closed when we arrived there at around 6:50PM. We had NOT received a phone call or Email advising us of this Nor was there a sign on the door explaining why it was not open I called the phone number provided on the restaurant website but the mailbox for that was full. the number has now been changed to have a "06" area code which is a nonexistent area code. Please note that the Open Table listing for Shiso was still taking reservations as of that afternoon! There was another couple standing outside Shiso when my girlfriend and I arrived and they advised they had made reservations that afternoon. If it was possible to give this restaurant 0 stars I would.

   Travelled out of town to get here to find it closed, a man/worksr came in to get card machine and was very rude and abrupt. Don’t even bother coming here, please update your Google times

   Extremely unprofessional staff. After confirming my reservation a day before, when we arrived they told us they over booked the counter. They didn’t call us ahead or anything. Then they told us they can MAYBE get us in their sister restaurant, they did this to a couple next to us as well. They basically ruined our Friday night date night and 0 remorse about it. It’s clear they do this on purpose to force traffic to their less popular location. Absolutely unprofessional and they shouldn’t be on your reservation system.

   First the restaurant is changing location due to staffing but giving us only 2 hours heads up and then does not even answer our message. The server made us wait 2 minutes before greeted, was not warm or helpful at all during the whole omakase. It seems like we were bothering them. Not recommending this omakase

   We had to wait for 45mins to be seated booked for 7:15 reservation we were seated at 8pm. The whole staff were very apologetic and compensated us with champagne and on the house pieces which we appreciated. Omakase experience was okay chef was nice. Sushi pieces were too small.

   The atmosphere was great. We were able to have a fun chat with the chef- listening to his stories and our stories. Food was great, everything is top notch. I would recommend booking on a Monday or Tuesday (if possible- the slow day), so that you are able to experience the whole thing- Not rushing the chef. Enjoy the experience!

    Poorest ambience and rude , borderline aggressive service. Whilst first being asked to wait 15 mins in the restaurant entrance, we were then asked at our table to wait another 35-40 mins as the chef was behind on the omakase experience and that some items we would not be able to do as the chef did not have anything left. We then got a miso soup which was already cold so we did not eat is, then the chef came to tell us that as we booked this time slot it is our fault we had to wait. If you offer omakase at a certain time I would think that is cause it will be available at that time. Spoke to many with the same experience and apparently influencers being paid to make this place look good, whilst even the setting is very poorly done. I agree 58$ for an omakase in New York is a steal, yet polite service I think you should be able to expect at any price point. This entire place is one big scam.
