   We celebrated our daughter’s college graduation at Shirer’s Rooftop. The food was delicious, staff were friendly, and it was beautifully decorated. We highly recommend for any occasion.

   The service was prompt and friendly. We spent the day showing out of town friends around our vibrant downtown and capped it with dinner at Shire’s Rooftop. I can only speak for myself. I ordered the Wild Mushroom Tagliatelle. The dish lacked flavor and under the top layer of tagliatelle the pasta was close to a solid mass. It was very disappointing. The view from the outdoor seating area is great, overlooking northern Kentucky, the banks and the city’s professional sports stadiums. I’ve been to Shires before for cocktails and enjoyed the experience. It was a shame this dinner didn’t live up to my previous experience. Overall, a disappointing dining experience.

   This is a great place to take people you want to impress. The view is every bit as great as the food. Steaks were perfectly cooked and the scallops were amazing.

   We had Makayla for a server and she was amazing! Very attentive and made sure we were taking care of. She even suggested things that were popular and not so popular. Great overall first time experience

   The bestie and I had dinner here before our Candlelight concert and it was a wonderful experience from beginning to end. The food was delicious! That is, hands down, the best salmon I've had in Cincinnati. The service was excellent. The restaurant is beautiful and a little eclectic. Could do without the TV, I feel like there's enough places where sports are in your face.

   The service was excellent, but the food was severely subpar, especially at the price point. We did their restaurant week offering and were able to try 6 dishes between the two of us. We independently felt like the food was akin to amped up nursing home meals. Lots of components and decently commendable technique, however ultimately came together in a disjointed fashion and felt dated. Essentially trying too hard to be fancy while not actually pushing the ball forward. If it were $20 dollar entrees, that’d be one thing. But $35+, that’s just unacceptable, especially in Cincy. Likes: Our favorite thing was their take on croutons for the Caesar salad, and my orange soda/mocktail beverage was great. The service was very good; they mixed up one of our entrees(not a big deal for us) and they went above and beyond handling it. Also, we loved our server; she was super sweet. Left a big tip for her specifically.

    My wife and I went for the restaurant week menu. We made a reservation but it did not appear that one was needed. We were seated right away. We each started with the featured Maker’s Mark cocktail. It was a little on the sweet side but very good for a spring evening. From the menu, my wife started with the crab cake. Very good with a spicy cherry pepper relish. I had the beef tartar. It was good but would have been aided by some additional accompaniments. The server then brought our entrees without brining our second courses. He asked what we’d like to do. We decided to have the entrees (lamb shank for her and salmon for me) at that time. Both were well prepared and delicious. We followed that with our second courses (watermelon gazpacho for her and Caesar salad from me). They were tasty and worked well as pallet cleansers to end the meal. No complaints based on the incorrect serving order. Beautiful space. We will go back on a warmer evening and dine outside.
