    This was our first visit to Shinsen Sushi and it was wonderful. The quality of the sushi was amazing and the customer service was excellent. Overall, it was on the pricey side so it won’t be a weekly visit but we will definitely revisit the restaurant.

    The sushi was incredibly fresh and tasted great. Everything we got was top notch. To my surprise they even had a live musician playing who was very talented and elevated the night. Can’t wait to try more.

    If you like authentic sushi, like what you would get in Japan, this is the place to go. It's a family owned business and they really take care of their customers, especially if you are lucky enough to get Paul as your server. He knows I love hamachi, so he insisted I try the new hamachi carpaccio. He said, if you don't LOVE it, I won't charge you. And I did love it. Who even does that these days. We have been to this restaurant many times and are so happy we no longer have to drive all the way to Portland (or fly to Japan) for good sushi. The Chef's choice 15 piece sashimi is always fresh and amazing and if there's something in it you aren't fond of, they will change it up. Nothing else in Vancouver compares to the quality of fish you get at Shinsen. They also have an excellent selection of sake and a cute little bar if you just want to stop in for a drink.

    Very warm and inviting atmosphere. Service was right on point. Questions easily answered, Food excellent. I would highly recommend eating at your establishment.

    Both of us enjoyed the fresh sashimi very much and believe it’s the best we’ve had in Vancouver. The service was good although part of our order had to be ordered again. We’ll return soon!

    This was the first time visiting and we went for late lunch, so was not crowded. Service was great and very attentive. My husband order teriyaki chicken which was prepared differently than in other Japanese restaurants - sliced va hole chicken breast. The flavor was very good. I had the chirachi bowl which had quite a bit of sashimi on it. Good variety of fish that had a fresh taste. The red tuna was unfortunately tasteless. I also ordered a unagii, which was excellent. A nice size piece and perfectly grilled.
