This used to be one of my favorite restauraunts... So nice to eat “allergy free” that tastes wonderful, but since they’ve moved to their “McGuckins” location, both the service and food, as well as the ambiance have gone down hill; For example, serving a brand of pasta and cookies that I can buy from the store and charging more than 3 times as much. Two people having a regular meal, no alcohol for $120 seems steep, even for Boulder.

Love this place! I recently discovered it while in Boulder. The entire menu is GLUTEN FREE! What a plus for me - and the food is excellent! The biscuits are some of the best I've ever had, even when I could eat gluten! The staff is attentive and the service is good.

I was not impressed at all. I ordered the seasonal stirfry with lamb and it did not have a good taste at all. I thought the potions were juice but I guess not. Our waitress did not explain anything well and the presentation was nothing to write home. I also ordered soup but the waitress never brought it. I would never go back.

Shine is my go-to place for healthy, festive food. The "magic hour" options are varied and delightful. A couple of my personal favorites are the gluten-free mac and cheese (magic hour) and the gf alfredo (on the dinner menu). Yucca fries are a nice alternative to the also delicious sweet potato fries. This is one of the only places I know of, as well, that has gluten free biscuits. What a treat!

I've been to shine for lunch several times, but this was my first time there for dinner. The server was very helpful and attentive and the food was delicious. I like that items are locally sourced and that attention is paid to sustainability. My friend and I went before seeing a play at the Dairy Center and it was an easy walk between the restaurant and the venue. I'm pretty sure this will be a regular practice for me.

My family loved our visit to shine! The wait staff were all very attentive and friendly. We enjoyed the Game Sausage Plate and the Beet Hummus was delicious. The main courses were equally tasty - The Colorado Seared Pork Chop is absolutely my favorite dish in town. We'll be back

Had dinner on an extremely busy Valentines Day. They easily could have gotten more money out of me at the bar as we waited for our table (we were early), but the two bartenders were too busy and their were no empty chairs/spaces at the bar. With that written the service we did receive was excellent so I don’t knock them for how they wrestled with the busiest day of the year.

The food was good-not-great, and as I was looking at the bill I felt I was over-paying by 2x. That might be a slight overstatement, but not by much.

The restaurant is nice, and I would go again. I really appreciate their commitment to clean and delicious food. We went on Valentine’s Day, which obviously was busy. They had a cello player which we really enjoyed. The server was knowledgeable and helpful, but I wished she had checked on us a little more often. I’m not a needy customer, but I don’t like it when it gets to the point where you are having to look all over for your server, try to make eye contact & get their attention because you need something. It took a very long time for our drinks to arrive at our table. I ordered the squid appetizer, which I thought was delicious, but the kraut sampler was very disappointing. It was a very small plate with a very small amount of 3 different types of kraut. No chips, no veggies, no garnish. Just a very strange thing to offer. I think it was only $6, but I think it was worth half that. Our meals were ok. My friend got the jackfruit street tacos & I got the kale salad with lamb. Neither one of us finished our plate. It was good but not great. Overall just a little on the lackluster side. I’ll go back, but probably for brunch not dinner, I think their breakfast is much better.

This place is great for a lunch or happy hour and their entire menu is gluten free. Their beef burger with sweet potato fries is my favorite thing on the menu. The entrees are fairly portioned, although possibly on the "lighter" side. Their potions are pricey but a true novelty!

So very Boulder!! Food was quite good. The potions were really interesting however on the expensive sure for what you get. Service was spotty, it seemed like they were trying to use a team approach. I have seen this work in other places, however in this case we ended up waiting a long time and had to flag down people for help.

food was unique, I had the 3 street tacos (2 pulled pork, 1 chicken) with beans and rice. The tacos had a good flavor, but there was too much oil left from the meat and before I could eat them, the oil had soaked the soft corn taco shell and made it soggy so that it was messy and difficult to pick up and eat. The beans weren't cooked enough and were rather crunchy. But everyone else enjoyed their food, and none of these issues were deal breakers. I'd go back.

Table for 4, was nice to have a reservation, though it was slow for a Friday evening in Boulder. The staff was good, and our waitress attentive and helpful. 2 of us ordered taco plates, one order pork, one order salmon. Taco plates came out cold, food was tepid, pretty bland, and the salmon was unusually fishy tasting. I've had better tacos at Chili's. Another person got the pork chop, and he said it was good, it looked good as well. I don't remember what my wife got, but do remember it was rather unremarkable. Overall, we spent ~$115 (before tip) for 4 people eating the more modest items on the menu, a draft beer, a couple of well drinks and chocolate chip cookies for desert. This was a birthday dinner, which the staff was aware of, and they didn't do anything special for the occasion (not that we asked or were expecting, just FYI). Since the menu is rather limited, I expected much better food than what was presented. I think the only reason I would go back is if someone else were treating.

Enjoyed Shine's 'new' to us place. We had not been there for a while, and our first time at the new place. Smaller, more quaint family atmosphere, saw many families enjoying holiday time together at lunch. We celebrated our anniversary on Dec. 27, 2018 and enjoyed our experience and time together with a wonderful meal. Glad the 'sisters' are adding great intent to share more of their Shine potions, while keeping their menu diverse, inviting and delicious. The only part we found a bit lacking was their attention to service. Nonetheless a very memorable and pleasant time to remember. Thank you. ^_^

Everything is fresh and flavorful. The "potions" are delicious, too! I came here for lunch one day with my son, and we liked it so much we came back with two more people (vegans) for dinner the following night. Every plate was perfect, and the desserts were amazing.
