Service was great, good selection of food but nothing was really hot. Lukewarm to on the cooler side at best.
Great staff, great food, one of my favorite places.
Great food and service ! Fun and friendly. Definitely go back
I was disappointed this time. I haven't been there since last fall when everything was great, this time no so much. Our waitress was great but that's about the only thing that was. The food was just ok. I don't think we will be going back anytime soon.
Great food and service. A short walk to Grandview Ave overlook. The restaurant is located in a neighborhood so it was a bit noisy.
It just was the slowest service ever and the food was just ok. It smelled a little musty upstairs, too. I don’t foresee ever going there again.
Great menu. Fun atmosphere. A little loud to hear conversation on first floor. Very limited parking in the area. Food was wonderful
It was my Birthday & my husband, son & I were celebrating. Our meal was great & we asked the server if the restaurant did anything for birthdays. She said she’d be happy to bring me a desert & gave me 2 choices today pick from. I chose the brownie. I was really surprised to be charged for it. I guess I would have thought she would say “no, we don’t really do anything for birthdays, but maybe you’d like desert” or something like that, rather than saying she would bring me a desert & then charging me for it. I probably would not have ordered it if I didn’t think it was a birthday freebie. There really wasn’t anything unclear in the way that I asked or the way that she responded. We were all absolutely shocked to see it on the bill. Seems like a weird way to upsell.
Service was okay. Server never asked if our daughter wanted anything and only came back sporadically. Food was decent though some options seemed a bit pricey for what you get. Happy hour prices were good. Overall, a relatively average meal though I suspect it might be a one-off.
Nothing outstanding, mundane menu. Good fries and friendly service.
The server was absolutely wonderful! She mentioned that we were there for a special occasion (moving in together/anniversary) which made the night really special for my date. Our table was checked on frequently and the food came out to the table quickly. I really enjoyed my experience.
This is our favorite brunch buffet in the burgh. Good price, the food is great and a frozen mimosa or Bloody Mary is even included!!
we had a 5 pm reservation and were seated around 5:20...usually not a big deal, but had a show to get to. luckily was in and out in ample time. had a drink at the bar while we waited for table, the mo-fo-jito was delicious!! the bar tender was having a bad day, she made good drinks, but wasn't friendly and pretty aloof....and also seemed overwhelmed, she was the only bar tender at the time and it was getting pretty busy. waitress was great, food was delicious...would definitely dine here again.
One of the best Old Fashions ever and the Delmonico a Go Go was excellent. Jake was personable and attentive.
The food and service here has been slipping as of late, hopefully it rebounds. Before the food was on point and well seasoned but has gotten more bland and the servers seem preoccupied with each other rather than those they are serving.
We had a family get together on Saturday while visiting our daughter at a local college and doing some touring of Pittsburgh. This is a great spot to see after taking the Monogahelan Incline up from Station Square. The view from the overlook is amazing and Shiloh is just a short walk up the street from the overlook. We have kids, teens, and grandparents and everyone found something delicious on the menu. The Mac and Cheese is to die for good with a cheese sauce that will have you licking the bowl. The Pittsburgh Salad, Wings, Delmonico Sandwich, and Burger were all excellent. Service was very good. Only issue is that it is a bit dark, the carpet on the steps needed cleaning, and the prices were a bit high for the Pittsburgh area. Overall, you can't go wrong here. We had a fun dinner and great food all around.
Friends visiting from Boise ID, planned to take the Incline, enjoy dinner on Mt Washington, and then take a sunset cruise. Found the Shiloh Grill online and booked with Open Table: met our needs of a casual atmosphere, close to the Incline, and food for teens and adults. Half price frozen drink special (Cosmopolitan Frozen Lemonade - yum!) and great appetizers (calamari and pierogies). The famous Mac & Cheese items were delicious, generous portions, and quite filling; plan to share, or bring half home. Service was very good; quite noisy, but fun atmosphere. Nice decor that honors the original decor yet updated. We sat indoors, but a large deck with umbrella tables is out front. Short walk to the overlook and Incline, but on a charming street. Great evening and we plan to return.
We came a bit early for our reservation and they were able to accommodate us right away. Chet was super in taking care of us for the meal. His recommendations were very well received among the group.
PERFECT Sunday brunch was excellent. The brunch buffet had delicious breakfast items as well as lunch items. The bacon was crisp, the omelet station wonderful, the salad was delicious and the selection of pasta ala vodka, jerk chicken and other items looked spectacular. The cost of the brunch was very inexpensive ( $18.01 per person which included an alcoholic beverage). The frozen mimosa is my new favorite drink! I plan to make this a habit. The only downside is the limited parking so just make sure you leave plenty of extra time before your reservation.
I had a cocktail that had Spa in the name, and it was creative and refreshing. For a city restaurant, it was fairly priced. For dinner I had a steak salad. I was surprised how small the steak was, but it was perfectly prepared. The ranch was obviously homemade and delicious. My date devoured his Jerk wings.
The only criticism I have is the service is somewhat slow. Since we weren't in any kind of rush, we didn't mind, but if we had to make a show or concert, we would have been late.
Overall, we had an enjoyable experience.
HORRIBLE food. Took us 2 hours to get our food
Enjoyable dinner with a good menu if you are looking for healthy or MAC and cheese
Lipstick on the wine glass. Food was average at best. We were surprised by the good reviews we saw prior to going there.
Thank you for a great time, great food, and excellent service! We will be back! Don't forget to try the fabulous mac and cheese - huge portion so think about sharing. It was great the next day , too! Cheers!
Had a very good experience with waiter and manager. And the food and drinks were great!l
Our Server, Hayley, has a great personality and did an outstanding job at making us feel welcome and important. A member of the staff (chef?) checked on us and inquired about our satisfaction with the meal. Will return again when in Pittsburgh (hour and a half away).
Picked based on reviews and that we wanted to see Pittsburgh from Mt Washington after dinner. Was very impressed with the laid-back atmosphere. Building had character and I enjoyed looking around. Come as you are (to a point) and enjoy friendly service and great food. Crab cakes and Delmonico sandwich were very tasty. The Mac and Cheese was phenomenal, uh better than that... Just order it and you can thank me later. Service was very friendly and prompt. The menu is hilarious - a fun read. Lots of selections and if you like it a bit spicy, they can do that. Definitely on my list to visit again.
Honestly, our server completely ignored us for most of the evening. It was especially frustrating when wanted our checks and the server kept ignoring our table. It would have been nice to be able to pay and continue with our evening. The food is okay, but the service really upset the evening.
The food was good & our server was knowledgeable. He was very helpful with recommendations. We were seated upstairs where I thought the atmosphere was dreary. If I had known, I would have requested outdoor seating when making our reservations.
Went to brunch buffet for mother's day-- everything was cold other than the MTO omelette... the server had an awful attitude and forgot things over and over again. Never once refilled our coffees and made everything feel like a chore. Would not go back again or recommend. Sad pick on mother's day
First of all, the Happy Ending cocktail was insanely good. It was slightly carbonated, but still tasted super refreshing with all the citrus and cucumber in there. Then I had the jerk chicken wings, which were also incredible. Waiter was a little awkward and made some cringy "Happy Ending" jokes, but other than it was a really great birthday dinner for my friend. Our table was right next to the fireplace, which was nice.
If you go leave extra time to read the menu (and laugh at it!) It is creative and unusually written. Very nice ambiance with friendly staff. Food was delicious! Drinks a tad on the pricey side.
Sunday brunch is ok. Kinda Expensive and u only get a few drink options
Great service and really good food. It’s a fun atmosphere for gathering with friends
Cool vibe with great cocktails and excellent food — a gem on the Mount.
Delicious! Mac and Cheese is the best we have ever had! They will add any protein you like and I would highly recommend chicken (jerk or grilled). This mac and cheese was very creamy and the portion is large enough for two meals. It's a little loud but for most that's not an issue. We had a 16 month old with us and a 12 year old and both enjoyed the restaurant. The service was great! Must stop if you are anywhere near the area!
Great food, great drinks, great atmosphere. We love the Shiloh.
Nice food variety on their Sunday brunch. Only issue was some of the food was lukewarm at best.
My party was rather rowdy and they were very accommodating.
We had a great time and good bargain! Pleased everyone, happy hour deals are great and the menu is hilarious.
