Perfect night for a dinner on the patio. The food was exceptional and our server was very attentive. Tables were well spaced so we felt very safe.
Wonder food and service
Good food, good service. WIne list is overpriced, except when they offer the bottle at 50%. The mark-up on wine is 3x the commercial cost, while most other restaurants in Saskatoon are 2x the mark-up. Patio deck looks excellent, too cold this week for that after the sun sets.
We just moved to Saskatoon recently and heard about the Buck a Shuck evening. We booked & were seated a high top for two. The tables are a bit small for 2 plates, drinks, water etc. Our server wasn’t sure where the oysters were from (East/West coast) but found out for us. I found this a little strange seeing as the feature of the night was the oysters. Service was a little slow but the food & flavors were very good. We heard a few complaints from surrounding tables that the service was lacking but we weren’t in a hurry so it was fine for us. We will return.
Amazing food! Sit outside, have a mimosa. You'll feel like youre on vacation!!
Great view of the river development. Was there for lunch & chicken salad sandwich was very tasty. They have excellent coffee.
Delicious food, incredible views, handled Covid precautions very well, great cocktails
Location can’t be beat. Eating along the River is wonderful.
Feels very big city.
Definitely a great spot to celebrate a special night.
Everything was perfect! Will definitely be back again soon.
Excellent food, delicious cocktails, and the service was great. Perfect place to sit on a patio.
We booked an online reservation for outdoor sitting for 7:15pm We had to wait almost an hour at an inside table until seating outside can available. Our main course was served close to your closing time. We felt a bit rushed given the time. We also wanted dessert but it was already 9:30pm and felt bad and decided to order it to go. Staff were apologic however, given the delay in getting our requested seating, I felt the dessert should have been comped given we had to wait so long for the outside table.
We have now visited a couple of times .... so nice to have Shift now reopened. Always enjoy the atmosphere, staff and the varied menu.
Overall it was another great experience at Shift!! The host was apologetic for our wait, but there was definitely no need as we literally sat down less then 4 mins after arriving! The service was fantastic and the food was amazing as always!! It was our 10th anniversary and we got complimentary champagne and were offered dessert (we declined dessert as we were full from apps and the main). But they definitely helped to make the night special!!
Beautiful view and great service
Grilled calamari and compressed watermelon salad were amazing apps paired with proseco. Enjoyed dining out on their patio, watching the Prairie Lily go by!
We sat on the patio for lunch and supper. Great view. Friendly staff. Large portions of delicious food.
Loved our evening on the Shift deck. Our waiter was outstanding and food as always amazing. :)
Our server, Nikhil, was very professional and provided us with an excellent experience.
My wife and I enjoyed our date out at Shift restaurant. The ambiance and view were beautiful, the food was hot and delicious, and the service was prompt and professional. We will definitely return.
Both of our meals where cold. The steak was rancid. They made no attempt to make it better which made it all that worse
When we arrived we were not informed about the oven not working/limited Breakfast menu options until after we ordered our drinks. We ended up ordering coffee and leaving.
My spouse's soup was cold and her Caesar salad was tasteless.
Very limited menu. White fish on toast was not what I was looking forward to eating that evening but was about the only choice that appealed to me.
They're trying out a new menu for weekend brunch, and no one in our party of five was a fan of the new items.
The menu choices were interesting and varied. The items we chose were very tasty, filling and well-presented. Our service was very good. And, of course, the venue and ambiance were terrific -- one of the best views in the City. We were able to have a nice conversation over lunch because the noise level was low. I would highly recommend Shift.
Pace of dining felt a bit rushed & tables were close together so ambience lacking (it was Valentines Day so there were seating numbers & times to accommodate). The food was good & very nicely presented & the service friendly so overall it was a nice experience.
Service was great. Starter and dessert was different. The main meal was great. It was a cool experience but do to price not sure I’d go back but still up in the air with that one. Wine prices were highly inflated as well. Honestly I know many restaurants in Saskatoon that’s just as good and better comfort food for a much smaller price tag.
Thus is an excellent restaurant to visit. Location, views, staff, food & service!!
The fish in the fish and chips was excessively salty. The fries were good, though. The background music was great!
Very good food (whitefish appetizer, steelhead trout main), excellent service, and a beautiful setting overlooking the river. A perfect spot for a fine dinner out.
Very disappointing experience. It literally took over 2 hours just to have brunch for the two of us, and it wasn't even that busy. Then it took another 15 minutes just to flag down a server to finally bring our bill. The food was okay; not great. I would not recommend Shift - very poor overall. We couldn't even get our waters refilled.
We waited an hour for our food. Thirty minutes after we were seated our order was taken. The service was terrible - no explanation for the delay, and no apology. The food was questionable: the corned beef hash was NOT corned beef hash, but a red wine-based stew; the frittata was shrimp, but no one informed us. Servers were rude, unprofessional, slow, inefficient, and incompetent. Terrible brunch experience. We will not return.
It was great having lunch at the Shift. Our waitress was very personable and friendly. The view of the river bank and river was wonderful and our meals were great. I will definitely return for another great dining experience!
Food was absolutely amazing. Sauces and flavours delightful. Service was a bit slow. Will definitely visit again!
Our food was very disappointing. We arrived for brunch and there were only 2-3 tables and the restaurant remained relatively quiet throughout our whole meal. The burger we ordered was extremely dry and the eggs Benedict, one of the eggs was pretty much raw with the egg whites very runny too. It was hard to justify the cost with the quality and taste of the meal.
Glad we got to have a few of our favorite dishes before the menu change. Amazing service by Savannah- she took the time to explain all the food and drink options and even created a 9th Anniversary shot for us! Beautiful river views as well. We look forward to the new menu for 2020.
We enjoy shift but feels they need to lift their attention to detail and expand menu with a few more plant based options to hit the mark
Gorgeous location with a wall of windows looking out to the river.
The food was okay but over priced. The service was fairly slow and I had booked a reservation and ended up with one of the worst tables in the dining area. Too much money for too little quality in my opinion.
I consider the place average. Average food, service, wine, atmosphere. Not bad, not great..just average
Very nice atmosphere. Quality of food was good, but the execution was poor. In my opinion... if you're going to charge at a premium, there should be a quality control system.
