Really pleased to have found a Sunday venue that is this quality in the local area - really delighted we bought some friends here
Service and staff were very good
Great new(ish) menu. But the cooking of it leaves much to be desired.
The food was great if not a little bit expensive. However, I really enjoyed it so if you’re prepared to splash the cash you won’t be disappointed.
Our favourite restaurant. We are never disappointed here, great food, great service in a beautiful setting and surroundings. There were six of us who ordered different dishes and we were all delighted with our food
Had to send the food back all I could taste was salt very disappointing
Very good always enjoy visit. Unfortunately it always seems to be raining longing to be able to sit outside.
Lovely food, great service would definitely recommend; lovely restaurant loved the atmosphere
We have been to this restaurant before and have never been disappointed with a meal. Exceptional service and food we just wish it was closer to us!
Lovely setting by the river. Would recommend sitting in the main room with the fire in the winter months as can be a bit drafty by the entrance door.
Cocktails and mulled gin was very good, as were the puffed cod skins.
We had lunch and found that we should have ordered greens to accompany the pie and beef. These are quite heavy dishes.
We found the pumpkin gnocchi a bit solid with not a lot of flavour but nicely presented.
Overal a lovely place but don’t sit by the drafty entrance in the winter.
Lovely, cosy Inn with a welcoming fire blazing and a nice atmosphere, despite it being a quiet, early January Tuesday lunchtime. Friendly and efficient service and delicious food. Will definitely return at any time of year.
3rd visit, as lovely as ever. Looking forward to birthday visit in February
Very pleasant meal, obviously on the day we picked the pub was very busy which slowed things down at times. Family visiting from Norfolk were very impressed, we've been before and would certainly recommend it for 'special' meals.
Outstanding, best pub and restaurant food in Yorkshire, outstanding service that should be applauded by the owner. Real customer focus.
Been here numerous times, always a pleasure. One of the most hospitable places to enjoy a lovely meal. Be back soon...
Dropped in for a meal when bringing Granny back home after Christmas. Delicious food, cosy atmosphere and good service.
Another great meal the lobster mac and cheese with truffles was to die for. My grand daughter said her chocolate brownie was sooo scrummy
Excellent food & friendly great service. Love this place as it is located in a beautiful place as well.
Lovely bar,service excellent,relaxing atmospehere
Food presentation and quality lovely
Beautiful food in a lovely setting, feeling all festive now.
Lovely family meal. Always cost feel to the place great food and service
Excellent as always
Second visit and even better. Lovely atmosphere so close to Christmas. We discussed how nice it would be to stay there at this time of year. One day we will.
Always love our Christmas visit here - beautifully decorated, warm and welcoming and food is excellent
We had a lovely family Christmas dinner at Shibden Mill Inn. The food was delicious with generous but not over facing portions. We chose both from the Christmas menu and the standard menu and were very impressed. The restaurant was beautifully decorated and the staff were incredibly efficient and friendly.
Superb place. Really lovely inn. Loads of character and atmosphere!
The dinner was excellent - every course was a delight. Service was first class too, despite it being a busy Friday before Christmas.
Nicely kept real ales - always a plus.
Will definitely be returning soon.
Portion sizes have drastically reduced since our last visit. The Braised Beef main course was particularly small resembling a small starter..For £17.
Used to be a favourite spot but will not be returning anytime soon with so many other great eating options in the locality.
One of my favourite places. Food is always good and it's a gorgeous setting
We both had the vegan main courses which were excellent. I have never tasted a mushroom dish like it, full of flavour.
Very good choice of dishes overall.
For me the portion size was just right.
Good service though not in your face.
We didn't feel rushed to eat and go . Looking forward to sampling a summer menu.
First visit but not the last for me t time I am in Yorkshire. The Sunday roast was the best I have had in a long time. Service brilliant all the staff very helpful I totally recommend
Love the shibden mill inn, the menu is wonderful, the atmosphere is cosy. The staff are extremely friendly, helpful and competent.
They have a very good selection of drinks, great wines, spirits and cocktails.
There was only one problem during our visit which was 2 steaks on the menu were not available on the night we visited.
This is a must place to visit on the run upto Christmas, the perfect Christmas atmosphere.
Many thanks to the shibden mill Inn. We will be returning to dine again.
Difficult to call this. Some of the food was very good but some was awful. The cured trout was excellent, tasty and well balanced. The turkey ballottine was dominated by whatever was smoked, Christmas pud was tasty but dry. Burger and pie went down well. However, chicken breast was very dry, we asked for more sauce but it never arrived. Overall though we were cold, every time the door opens, which is often, there was an icy blast. My poor Mum had to sit with my coat over her knees.
Had a pleasant lunch it was busy with the run up to Christmas which made for a nice atmosphere, the festive decorations were delightful.
Great experience. Good food, friendly staff, pleasant atmosphere.
Best Xmas pudding ever! Xmas dinner vegetables could have been hotter. Table not set with Xmas crackers until after we sat down. Waitress slightly unclear about menu ( thought all three guests had to eat from Xmas menu ). Some elements of the a la Carte menu we had never heard of before ? Lovely place to visit for a meal - very atmospheric
An absolutely fantastic place to eat. The food is superb and the staff very welcoming and professional. The Mill Inn is a stunning building with a gorgeous interior. Anyone who likes fine dining with excellent food will love this place. Highly recommend.
Excellent venue, ambience and food. Not the easiest place to get to, but worth the adventure
This was our 2nd visit, this time was a tasting evening, if I could award 6 I would, food was gorgeous, staff were knowledgeable about the food and wine. We all agreed this is our new favourite eatery
Lovely food and staff, will come again in Summer as the outside looked beautiful.
Lovely cosy pub for a good meal. A tad om the pricey side, but great food and looks like a great garden for summer
We really enjoyed our meal, the staff were extremely friendly and knowledgeable, the restaurant had a lovely atmosphere overall a great night
