Break for a working lunch with clients after meeting at the Sacramento Convention Center, or come join us for a late bite - we will be serving until midnight on Friday and Saturday.
Sad! Only two servers. Open noisy area. Very slow. We walked out.
First, was very hard to even book a reservation! Not a clear description of what is in the menu! Ver poor website!
When we got there ,nothing like we were expecting for thanks giving brunch! Very basic and poor quality...
I talked to the supervisor Sidney Johnston was very nice he accommodate us afternoon to be able to go for Thanksgiving dinner!

I had never eaten out on Thanksgiving, so this was my first time. The restaurant was very quiet. I think there ere only about 3 other familes there. The service was really good. The food was okay. It was breakfast foods, nothing out of the ordinary, but the bread pudding was phenomenal.
Erin is the best!!! She is always so very pleasant, attentive and contentious server. She is the reason why I keep coming back here for dinner when I am in Sacramento! The Marriott is lucky to have her!!!
WE were staying at the hotel which is why we chose to eat here before going to a concert at Golden 1 Center. The eating area is like a cocktail lounge and I had to ask 3 people about my reservations. The food was really quite good, but our salad was served with our main course without asking us. While our server was friendly enough he kept telling us that he was new. Overall not worth the money.
Too much food was pre frozen not fresh. This type of restaurant should have fresh food.
My daughter's & I thoroughly enjoyed our brunch at Morgan's. The service was outstanding, staff was friendly, helpful & welcoming. The food was absolutely delicious & excellent quality & our glasses were never empty. We will be back again. Thank you to the Chef for putting out a variety of amazing food & I appreciate everything made from scratch!
Great, The restaurant was not very crowded it was a quiet personal birthday affair and I quite liked it.
We attended Easter Brunch. The selection was very limited....no mashed or sweet potatoes or gravy, no vegetable, only 3 salads, approximately 6 desserts. The quality was excellent. However, for $48 this was overpriced and barely qualified for a buffet. We will not return despite the excellent quality of the food.
We had reservations for 4 people for easter brunch. When we arrived the restaurant was 2/3 empty and they seated us next to the kitchen and kitchen door. I asked to sit elsewhere but the host said there were only for big parties left so I accepted that. After we sat I noticed that there were at least 3 empty tables of 4 away from the kitchen and the noise from the kitchen made a conversation more difficult. I asked to be moved again the host said no and had to go to the back room to discuss it with her manager. She was able to move us to one of the empty tables. I don't know what she told our new waitress but the first thing she asked us was if we had a voucher or were we planning to pay for our meals? Maybe I was a little sensitive at this point because of the previous conversation with the hostess but it a little insulting. We were trying to excuse it, maybe because this was a hotel? However soon after she asked us, she brought out the check after we barely got started on the meal. The table next to us with the same waitress and another party of 4 who was there long before us, did not get their bill till much later. When we left the restaurant was 2/3rd empty still. The food was ok but definitely not worth the rest of the hassle or insult. Definitely would not be back.
We made a reservation (party of 2) and received confirmation. When we arrived (on time), the wait staff informed us they had no idea there was any reservation. I showed the confirmation. They said they would try to seat us. We stood in the bar waiting for about 10 minutes. There were plenty of empty tables. We were finally seated. We ordered our drinks. It took 20 minutes to get them. I mentioned that things must be busy as it took so long. The waiter replied “it’s going to get worse”. We decided we better order our food right away. We had been there for an hour since our arrival when the food finally arrived. It was average, nothing special. It was difficult to get any attention from staff as they looked straight ahead as they passed by. I could write more but suffice it to say it was an unpleasant experience and I’ll not return.
We were a party of 6 for breakfast on Saturday morning. Buffet price had increased dramatically from the previous weekdays that we had enjoyed, and there was no option for continental only portion. After opting for the FULL buffet, supplies had run out. Eggs, potatoes, etc were gone and there was no fruit! We paid $28 x 6 for absolutely no value! Extremely disappointed and aggravated! Very expensive mistake.
Loved the basil gimlet. Fresh fried potato chips are awesome. Can't get enough of the mussels- wanted a spoon to get all the delicious sauce!
It was not what we expected. The server had no knowledge of our reservation. Morgan's was closed and is only open for breakfast and lunch. Public Market Bar was open for dinner, but if you did not ask at the bar, a person would not know by just looking, we would have walked out. It seemed under staffed, the floors had leaves that had blown in from the street.
The service was great for the staff that they had and our server was excellent.
It was Xmas nite. I did not know what to expect. We arrived and there were not many tables occupied. And there appeared to be only 2 to 3 wait staff. I waited a long time for my salad.
It turned out to be very good, and the entrees, when they arrived we're very tasty. Basically, just slow service to complain about.
Our whole experience was like going to the worse diner of your whole life. Server was inexperienced and untrained to wait on diners; he appeared to be hardworking but clearly in over his head. Food was HORRIBLE! Prime rib was WAY overcooked, then was served cold.
We made our reservation on OpenTable, and showed up right on time. But when we got there, the restaurant was closed. Somebody needs to get it together here.
