   I wasn’t happy before. And the chef called me personally, which I appreciated. Visited again last Sunday. Food was Excellent. Seems the chef listened. Crabs were great. Creme brûlée was great too. I still miss the mussels and clams, especially with the price increase. but I understand they have to adjust their menu sometimes. Overall, great dinner and great atmosphere

    We took my mother-in-law and her sister who is visiting from New Jersey there and they loved it. The food was fresh and delicious with a good variety of seafood. It was also nice to watch the sunset from the outdoor deck. Our server was outstanding!

    I could be crazy, but it seems they don’t season the crab legs anymore. For the first time ever, I noticed they bring old bay with the crabs. Then the crabs tasted very bland. The crab salad tasted different. No more mussels or clams at the Buffett!!!! Even the Creme Brule’ tasted very bland too. And of course they put it in even smaller almost microscopic plates. But based on almost everything tasting different, I’m guessing they changed their chef with another one that trying to save them money. It’s frustrating though as they just increased the prices on both buffet and unlimited crabs.

    This is my 4th time visited this restaurant and my expecting before and now change a lot. The food is not that good as before. The service is superb though and friendly staff.

    Food was not very good. Prime rib had no flavor. Pork loin was so tough i could barely chew it. Just overall not worth nearly the amount we paid for it.

    We had a reservation for 7:30 pm. We arrived on time and was given a pager and told we had a 20 minute wait. However, the 20 minute wait turned into a 1 hour wait. We were seated at 8:30 pm only because we questioned the delay. Then was told, “I guess your pager isn’t working, that happens sometimes “. The food was fair. Dessert was pure sugar and the champagne that was to be served with the Romantic Valentines Day meal for two was never served.

    We did the buffet for Valentines Day. The food delicious and well stocked, never running low on any food items. Our server Yvanna provided us with excellent service. They have made some changes to their food. We have visited Shepards for many years. In the past, their prime rib was less than prime...but this time it was cooked perfectly, it was juicy, savory and just delicious. They have done away with the crab legs as part of the buffett, but you can order it extra for $13/# or $20 for all you can eat. The cost of everything is going up, so it's just part of the trend.

    I was soooo disappointed they have taken crab legs off of the buffet. I had not been there in a while and did not know Shephard's had made this change. The price went up since I went last, when it should have gone down. They should clearly indicate this on their site when you make a reservation. I was taking my children there for Valentine's Day specifically for the crab legs - I ended up having to pay an additional $12 for one pound to share. I would have gone somewhere else had I known, and will from now on, as $40 is just too much otherwise - we do not eat enough food to justify that price.

    DO NOT GO HERE VALENTINES DAY!!!! Food is average at best, it was super loud and over crowded. Was very disappointed with the meal and experience as a whole. Very embarrassed to have brought my girlfriend here on Valentine’s Day. $40/head for cold food. Would not recommend to anyone for any type of special occasion.

    Great place to eat. It's expensive but we only eat here on special occasions as their buffet has lots of choices and very tasty. A group of us go on special occasions, arrive early to have a couple of drinks at their beach bar and then enjoy their fabulous buffet. Highly recommend for that special occasion.

    Good !! only complain the snow crab were freeze hard to eat them they should put them in hot water for three minutes other than that it was very good

    The service was average at best. One of the male servers did nothing but complain to co-workers behind a wall about the impeachment hearings when he should have been providing a better level of service. The food was not horrible but way overpriced. To pay additional for crab legs that were over cooked to the point we threw most of them away was ridiculous. We did have a nice time listening to music at the bar outside afterward.

    Service was good, hostess was very nice.Restaurant wasn't busy at all for 7:30 on a Friday nite. Makes me wonder what better restaurants people were at. The Prime Rib was aweful..dry and tough. Everything else was decent , but not great. I was disappointed with the prime rib for sure, but also the lack of seafood.

    The restaurant was clean and my waiter was very apologetic and he did send the manager to the table,when I shared my concern of the freshness and safety of the food on the buffet. The manager did comp one of our buffets,but considering the crab legs I ordered seperate were the only food that wasn't bad,that was the least that could have been done.

    Great place for a sunset dinner on the beach. I’m not a huge buffet diner, but this place offered a little bit for everyone and all four of is were happy. The sushi was fresh and the oysters were delish!

    We went for seafood and ended up only eating crab legs because there was not much of a selection of seafood. Also, we made a 5:00 reservation and they were not ready to open on time. The price of $55 a person just to eat crab legs was not worth the money. The food was good and the service was great from our waitress. Never had to wait on more crab legs. I would recommend this restaurant but not if you are going to eat seafood.
