When visiting San Francisco, Shelby’s used to be a favorite place of mine. Sadly now, I was highly disappointed. I raved about this place to my wife, who I brought for the first time. Service was horrible! We had to chase someone down to place our food and drinks order. We waited over 1/2hr with no food, drinks, or even checking in on us. We told 2 different people to get our waitress, no one came. We ended leaving hungry and highly disappointed. We will not be coming back anytime soon.

Host - dismissive and did not say bye. Waiter did not seem interested. Busser was the sweetest and most attentive to us - lighting our heater, bring us blankets, and constantly checking on us. He was the only saving grace on service. The food (we got apps only)is super pricey but good (not great). View is lovely. No reason to return

Our heater kept going out so was a bit chilly. When we arrived with reservations there were other spaces available that we perhaps could have been moved to with a working heater instead.

We really loved Shelby's! It has a beautiful quaint inside and outside space. I love rooftops and once the sun went down the lights of the city were magical. I was pleasantly surprised with the food...it was delicious! We had the bone marrow which was amazing with the thick sourdough bread The Polpo so good that we ordered another one..it was cooked perfectly The roasted cauliflower was bombe! The hmarra sauce on it was delicious. The pork chop was amazing! One of my favorite pork chops was in Greece and this was right up there. The short rib...DELICIOUS and HUGE! The paella....really good...I loved the kick that it had The chocolate mouse...ok I am a chocolate lover and it didnt taste like chocolate....I wouldnt order it again We loved the vibe and the dj. The atmosphere is super sexy. I would have loved to stay until the dancing started. The only bummer was the service. Our waiter was a sweetheart but something must have been going on with him because he just wasn't on top of his game that night. He even apologized and comped us the chocolate mouse. Totally recommend Shelby's

Best rooftop bar in San Francisco. Excellent service. Food comes out super quick. Beautiful view. Literally the only rooftop I keep returning to and recommended this place to my friends they all love it here
