    Reserved a table for one and was seated by myself on a room separated from the main dining area. Made me feel like sitting at the children's table. Service was fair. Food was excellent.

    This was the first time eating there. Food was very good. There was plenty to eat at the Thanksgiving buffet. I’m looking forward to eating from the menu next time.

    We were sat in bar area, it was just us and a man at the bar. The waitress waited on us but spent the majority of time talking to man at the bar. She acted snooty. She was not friendly. When the next couple came in they sat at bar. The older gentleman had left and once again she talked to them. The food was ok.

    Out of fish at 6PM except for rockfish fish & chips. Steak was a chuck cut, fries extremely salty. Service was excellent, nice ambience.

    Beware prices added on to your drinks for mixers!! Food was nicely presented and tasted amazing! Beware when you order drinks though. Prices are RIDICULOUS for the drinks! Whiskey in a SHORT glass was $14. Another $4 if you wanted a splash of coke with it. $18 for a Whiskey & coke. Same price for my Wife's Vodka & orange juice. Again, RIDICULOUS!! Would have given this place 5 stars across the board if it wasn't for the CRAZY bar prices!

    The dining experience we've had in past years does not exist anymore here. It has been a long time since we have been here and they changed owners. The new owners moved the dining area into the very small pub area so ambiance totally different. They were out of most of the food choices but what we had was excellent. It was just not what we wanted for celebration of our wedding anniversary.

    The service was friendly and attentive. From what I saw there was only two people working but they were working very hard to accommodate everyone at the front desk, bar, and outside. The food was quite good! We got the welsh rarebit, chickpeas, steak frites, shepherds pie, and chocolate torte for dessert. I enjoyed a cocktail as well. Would visit again when in the area.

    Great restaurant with great food! Highly recommend it. We ate outside and the street traffic is a little noisy, but definitely does not disturb conversations. Everything we ate was delicious! There was a bit of. Mis up with our entree, but ewe we’re given 10% off, so we had no complaints with the service.

    All 4 of us in our group were pleasantly surprised by our dinner at the pub. Our previous experiences, during and after Covid, were disappointing and we returned last night only because our other two choices were closed. The staff was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. Our meals impressed us in their preparation and presentation: braised pork shoulder, potato gnocchi with mushrooms, chicken souvlaki over couscous salad, and Buffalo oysters with an appetizer of tempura onion petals. Food arrived quickly and was devoured with similar speed! We’ll be back.

    The restaurant offered a nice range of very tasty dishes. We sat on the terrace and enjoyed watching a hummingbird feed from the flowers beside our table.

    Always a nice experience. The ambiance is unique, especially in the area. The staff is attentive and pleasant. Although not available this time, I generally order the special and I recommend trying that as I’ve never been disappointed.

    The place is just stunning and the drinks were good however the 1 waitress was doing everything including making drinks. The food was poor, the main dish was under cooked and I actually had to send it back (cold polenta = disgusting )… it really ruined the dinner.

    It's an historic building in a seaside community, but the menu neither reflected the area or the history. Fried rockfish was a nice large portion and tasty. Chicken souvlacki was a little dry. Couscous was a nice accomplishment

    After making a reservation we were guilted into making the choice for the staff, to force them to put tables together for us, as they were already helping one other party. The party was large. But there were no other diners in the restaurant portion. We had a 6 year old so the pub was not available to the 4 of us. The hostess offered, QUITE begrudgingly, to put tables together in a different grand dining room area, but she offered this in such a way that made me cringe, and feel as though we were inconvenience. We didn't want to be any trouble, we just wanted dinner for 4 on a Tuesday night in Long Beach. We went to the Depot, which by comparison, is much smaller. Yet some how with fewer people and less space, we were accommodated easily, even though they were packed.

    What a gem of a place!! Everything was excellent. Our room was super comfortable and clean with sustainable bath products. Every item of our dinner menu was outstanding, and the cocktails were scrumptious with locally distilled spirits. We really enjoyed playing pool and shuffle board in a beautiful, historic ambience. The service was really friendly too. We will certainly visit here again!!

    We had Thanksgiving dinner here 10 years ago when the restaurant was an elegant, Victorian dining room. Post-Covid and change of ownership, the lovely dining area is now a games room and the dining area is now in the bar. There’s still a pleasant, quiet ambiance and stained glass windows, but gone are the sumptuous baskets of freshly baked bread and culinary treats on the menu. The shift is to pub fare. The hostess, waitress, and mixologist offered excellent, efficient, friendly service. I ordered absinthe for an after-dinner drink, and it was delightful to watch the care with which it was prepared in true 19th c. style. The carrot soup, topped with crème fraiche, was aromatic and creamy. The cheese plate was uninspired. Our wish is that this historic, well-appointed establishment can find its way back to its former days as a full-service restaurant destination.

    Staff is friendly and the food was great! I highly recommend the crispy braised pork with blackberry gastrique, polenta and braised chard. I do hope that there are plans to open up the main dining area again.

    Beautiful intimate atmosphere. The lighting is just right and the heavy carved wood bar makes a lovely centerpiece to the room. The meal was excellent as was the service. My only disappointment was the cafeteria quality tables and chairs. The elegant room really calls out for wooden tables and chairs more in keeping with the style of the dark wood of the bar.

    Food was finally fabulous, but think something must have come undone in the kitchen and waitstaff. We got the wrong meals, mine was cold, we waited 10 minutes to get water or someone to wait on us. I really love this place so was surprised and disappointed as I took good friends as a treat. However, our wait staff (didn't get her name) was VERY apologetic and comped a desert. I'll go back and hope they get the wrinkles ironed out.

    Wanted to go somewhere with a cozy and intimate setting, and the Shelburne Pub was the perfect place. The decor is full of history and the music makes you feel like you are in another time. The staff is very friendly and even comped a dessert for another table when a glitch with the computer system had messed up their order. Onto the food, I had the steak frites which was delicious, and my fiancée had the shepherds pie which was also amazing. I tried the classic absinthe for my drink, and I recommend stopping by just for that. This is a quaint setting perfect for a date!

    Mediocre service (although very friendly), terrible food but a wonderful time visiting with a very tolerant Santa! And I am COMPLETELY opposed to them tacking on the living wage fee of almost 20% and then they do not pass it all on to the server (in fact the Shelburne takes the larger share of that!). I would visit again only for the breakfast with Santa and if they had the same wonderful Mr. and Mrs. Claus.

    Best salmon ever. Meal server was lovely. Bar staff unfriendly and rushed. Noisy. Music turned too high. Wouldn’t return, but for itself was great.

    We had a great Thanks Giving dinner here. The only issue was that there was some sort of miscommunication among the staff regarding who our server would be. Once that was cleared up everything was great.
