    My friend and I had an amazing experience at Shawnee’s. We were immediately greeted by the hostess and our server. After being seated with a warm welcome, she reviewed the menu for the day. We went on a Sunday, so we decided to try the buffet-style brunch which included the Mac and cheese, seafood Mac and cheese, fried chicken wings, collard greens, candied yams, and fried fish. We also received frozen mimosas which came with the meal, which were tasty. Literally, EVERYTHING was delicious. To our surprise, Shawnee greeted us at which time we had the opportunity to try the biscuits with strawberry butter, fried catfish, fried shrimp, lamb chops, seafood egg rolls and soul fried rice. Again, EVERYTHING was delicious. The Rose Room is a delight- pink, cozy, and perfect for a date, girls night, or even family gathering. This restaurant is also BYOB, which is a plus. The music was also great, not too loud and the DJ was friendly. When the people making your food create this type of vibe, it truly elevates your experience and you just want to tell everyone. We will DEFINITELY be back!

    The food was absolutely yummy! It is so great to have a sit down restaurant in Teaneck. The greens are cooked to perfection and the catfish was perfectly seasoned.

    First time diners with my Sisters friends, we are all amazing cooks, therefore our expectations were high, Shawnee’s is the real deal. We had the pleasure of meeting Shawnee and thanking her for a wonderful meal and her staff. Can’t wait to go back.
