A meal at McDonalds would have been nearly as good. With the TV blaring in the background a greasy food, we won't be returning. The only pleasantly was the Basil Hayden's bourbon. Nice people. Everything else was subpar.

Didn't like the buzzer constantly going off for the walk in business, server seemed like a fill in for somebody that might have called out and not his regular job, only good thing was the food, a little over priced. Paying Herr Tavern prices for a bar/grill is a bit much.

We were three in town to visit the battlefield. Chose Sharpshooters Grille from among many choices because the menu looked good, the location was comfortably away from the downtown area, and because it took reservations, which allowed us to avoid an uncomfortable wait. The food was good, and the atmosphere was freindly and comfortable. The restaurant was not busy, and noise was not a factor.

Really fantastic waitress. We had been to a place the previous night with poor wait staff, so we especially appreciated the professional service. Food was good and hearty.

This was the most disappointing place I have ever been that was on open table. We often look for open table places in places we have not been and have never been disappointed until this restaurant. There were rips in carpet, a trivia game was in progress with the microphone. The service was less than adequate. The food was reasonable but ordinAry. This restaurant was not up to open table standards as I have been accustomed.

We were meeting friends from Maryland and Gettysburg is a convenient spot. We've been to many restaurants in the area and just were looking for something new. This just didn't turn out to be a very good spot. Service was acceptable but the food and the atmosphere were definitely lacking. The fact that it was Friday night and they had very few customers indicates that the word is out on this place. Really can't recommend it for any more than grabbing a beer on your way somewhere else.

After a day touring Gettysburg, this was a friendly and welcoming place for dinner. Food is unpretentious, but still very good - burgers are especially tasty! They have a very nice selection of beers and wines, and the wait staff is very friendly and accommodating. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and will certainly be eating there again!
