Outdoor ambiance is nice. Steak is not bad. Other than that, disaster city. Perhaps a different waiter would have made a difference, but at the same time they didn't have many of the items on the menu, and worse of all did not even tell us until after we had ordered. I.E. requested dark meat southern fried chicken, and then was told after plate was brought out that they only had white meat. Menu says the chicken comes with biscuits. Waiter apologized for not bringing the biscuits and then showed up with "bread for the table" instead. And this "bread for the table" was pita bread with hummus. No explanation as to why there were no biscuits.
Stick with the steak and hope it doesn't rain so you can sit outside, perhaps then it would be a nicer experience albeit overpriced. Have the audacity to try anything else on the menu and who knows what you'll end up receiving instead.
Excellent Kosher food! Wonderful place for lunch and dinner. Clean and conveniently located near Atlantic City. Highly recommend it!
The food was delicious! I got chicken with mushrooms. My husband got short ribs, both were amazing.
Lovely setting. Pricey
Unless you like kosher food don’t go here. There was nothing to indicate that was what it was. The tuna tasteless to us. The ribs were bony and tough. The service was good and the location overlooking the bay was beautiful. But it was one of the most expensive restaurants I have ever been to and I have travelled widely and eaten at five star and Michelin starred restaurants.
Great service, tasty food, nice bar, beautiful ambiance. Will keep coming back! I suggest advertising “kosher food”, “kosher restaurants” on google and getting active on social media. Most people don’t know about Shari’s and it’s a shame!
the service here is absolutely phenomenal. Anthony and the rest of the staff were so amazing and attentive.
The worst steak restaurant I have ever been to!!! Bar none!!! Virtually every item was tasteless. The Demiglaze for my steak was a tasteless goopy mess. The coleslaw looked like it was made weeks ago, I could go on and on. Save your money.
Excellent kosher food and great service. Beautiful bay front views. Would definitely come again.
Do not waste your time or money unless you are glatt kosher. The restaurant has a beautiful bay view but not very good, expensive food. A $15 Caesar salad had exactly 6 small romaine leaves, although it was very tasty. They had 4 tables occupied and yet they ran out of tuna, which was on the menu, not a special. The wait staff was accommodating but it took 3 requests before we got more pita bread. The pita bread and hummus were delicious. They were the best part of the meal. We were a party of 6 and none of us would go back.
The only thing good about this restaurant was the beautiful view. The food was sub par. Don’t order the brisket or steak. Salmon was ok. This could be a great place if they get a new chef and make the prices more reasonable. We overpaid on so many levels.
View was nice bar would be nice for drinks but dinning room very noisy with loud party very disappointed. Entrees were actually tasty but way over priced. Poor wine list.
So disappointed! They were out of two things that we ordered, and the food we got was not good. Our waitress was nice but overall the service was slow. They did comp a glass of wine and my (awful) soup, which was the right thing to do. It’s a pretty place in a great location, but such a disappointment.
Great service and food with an impressive, well priced, wine list.
Peppered steak was sumptuous and the ribs were fingerlicking good.
Plenty of parking right up front.
Gorgeous view of the water. Really spectacular!
My family came here on vacation looking for something more upscale. My daughter is allergic to gluten, so we chose this place because gluten free foods are mentioned on their website. However, when she asked the server which dishes were gluten free, she didn’t seem sure what she was talking about. She could point to several things that “should” be ok, but that doesn’t inspire a lot of confidence. The service was lovely, if a bit slow, and the food was decent, but we were disappointed with the knowledge of allergens. If you’re going to mention gluten free foods on your website, either your menu should be marked or the staff should be better trained to identify those dishes. However, the atmosphere was beautiful and the view can’t be beat.
Disappointing, restaurant was empty yet we were seated next to the only other occupied table. This was apparently the owner who yelled at both the host and his wife (?) about a produce delivery. Then had an inappropriate conversation with the host about his father and siblings. When he finally left, the next party was then seated at the same table. To top it off, the food was so so at best.
Food was very good--everyone enjoyed their meal. Anthony, our server, was excellent. He is a first class waiter who we enjoyed talking with, as well as being served by. Went on a Saturday night and there was a private party downstairs so we basically had the upstairs room to ourselves for most of the evening. An enjoyable meal and evening all around.
Food and service was very good. Excited for a kosher option in the area!!!
Looking forward to going back.
Food and service were excellent. Thoroughly enjoyed are first experience. Looking forward to returning soon.
Food was good. Bar tender needs experience but was very nice and friendly. She will be very good in a couple of weeks. Music on Saturday nights is great.
Nice experience. Will return.
Thank you for sharing your experience with us! It is always our pleasure to serve a guest with great food and great atmosphere. We're positive your next visit will be an even better experience! See you soon!
Really excited to have a beautiful, kosher restaurant so close to AC! The space is lovely and all the staff were very friendly. Probably the best service I have had in a kosher restaurant, though they are still working out some kinks as they just opened. Food was good, and different from the average Lakewood/north Jersey fare. More like a traditional Jersey shore restaurant (which I love!) Definitely one of the nicest kosher places I have been to in the area.
1st visit on a night where Shari’s wasn’t busy, which always has me giving notice that I expect a lot. There was not a single element of this visit that was disappointing. The salmon was a large portion of the freshest and perfectly cooked fish I can EVER remember (and I do salmon at least monthly). I will be back in my next visit.
Thank you for sharing this with us! We're so happy you enjoyed our salmon cuisine and excited for you to try our other meals! We'll see you soon!
Delicious food in a spectacular setting. We will definitely be back!
tuna tataki was wonderful. Pear salad very good. Flatbread topping was good but the flatbread was really a cracker. Entrees on the menue were not exciting. Might considet making a meal of lots of appetizers. Service was excellent and very attentive. The ambience was quiet and elegent with great bay views. I will try it again but not hurry back.
