I was not a fan of the food and although I do not drink alcohol, I did notice there was a nice bar and a long list of drinks of all kinds. The place was beautiful and it was a nice ambiance to the place but my waiter was helping too many tables which caused us to sit and wait for service throughout the meal.
Was pricey for what you get. The chicken was burned, the biscuits were odd... and hard and the corn was without flavor. To top it off, even my coke was flat. Everyone was nice but just did meet minimal expectations. I did get to speak with the manager about our experience.
Great food. Great service. Great time.
The Service was excellent. The food was delicious. The facility was immaculate. The ambiance, peaceful, and upbeat. However. $30 for 4 pieces of fried chicken no sides $11 for fries. Value subjective....
It's southern comfort food... with a pretentious flair. There was no flavor...
We did not have a good experience with regards to the food at all. In addition, the menu is limited and the prices are pretty expensive. The staff didn't seem to feel empowered enough to make a decision to do what was best for us. I paid my total bill and left in peace but I will not return.
We had a good time. A little pricey but we enjoyed our experience 😊. We would go back.
The food was great, Andre our server was great. The manager was very hospitable and helpful. It was a wonderful dining experience!
I was not pleased with this restaurant. I was visiting from memphis . I went to the bathroom it was very nasty and dirty. I odered a Kobe Burger and my friend ordered BlackenFish snd rice . As i wait patiently on my food it arrived toi the table cold that mad me so upset . My server was real good but i was not satisfied at all i went to Roscoe's chicken and had an excellent services
We were there three hours that should tell you something about the ambience because the drinks are not cheap. The blackened snapper was delish and the fried green tomatoes were to die for. The shrimp cocktail was fresh and chips were crispy. Staff were just delightful. It's like they handpicked everyone who had great hospitality. All in all the food tasted as good as it smelled when walking up to the front door of the restaurant. Totally recommend going
The food was MEH and def overpriced. We got the kale salad, the ribeye, and the asparagus...we only liked the asparagus....
Cost too much for nothing special. It was not southern food at all.
We were charged for Carrots that we never received. When we notified the waitress, she was going to remove them from the bill but i guess she forgot before charging the card. We noticed a refund of the adjusted amount but in the end the original amount with the carrots (not received) is what we paid for. They forgot to return the cc to us and also did not leave us an itemized receipt until we asked for both our card and a receipt. The receipt we signed was for the amount of 124.83 but charged to our account was 136.88 The chicken my husband ordered was pink in color, the waitress said it was the marinade but he did not take the chance of it not being cooked threw. No one was rude or anything just maybe forgetful.
Atmosphere was pleasant, service was on point, food delicious and will be back again.
Loved it! Great food, great place. Amazing burger.
The waitress was excellent! I do not remember her name, but she is African American and has a short hair cut and piercings. She was able to deal with my mother complaining about her lemonade not being sweet enough and she went above and beyond to accommodate my mother. The shrimp and grits and fried chicken was delicious. The fried green tomatoes and greens need some work. Neither had any flavor and they both need seasonings. Overall, I enjoyed my birthday at your establishment
The decor and ambiance was spectacular! The service was great.
The food was not up to my expectation. “Southern cuisine “
was not evident! I’m from Louisiana and I know what’s “Southern “ menus are...
Came with a fairly large group of nine. Food was fine, nothing really stood out as great. Fried chicken was tasty. The sides were average. Biscuits were not fresh. They had that reheated taste that takes the fluff out of a biscuit and makes them tough.
The wait time was "forever". The food prices was somewhat high. The price of the'side dishes was somewhat expensive. Waiters could use additional training. On another note, the restaurant was very neat and clean. Because of the lack of attention being paid to us, after more than a thirty minute wait, we decided to depart. In your recommended section, we have a "no opinion.
Pretty expensive for what you get. I ordered the Shaq burger- it was OK, homemade pickles flavorless. Friend ordered the Kobe burger - said it was OK, but too sweet. Another friend ordered the Shaq Attack chicken sandwich - said it was good. The chicken did look good being served to other tables. My friends said they waited forever to give a drink order even though it was early and not crowded. at noon they were short on clean glassware so they gave me my ice tea refills in the same glass instead of a fresh one. More ice that tea in that glass. Would not recommend - there are much better places to dine at LA Live.
The food was great service was poor ordered a cocktail as soon as I sat down. Didn’t received the drink until after we finished eating. Over an hour past since I ordered it
Birthday Dinner staff very friendly server had excellent hospitality,, the bartender made great drinks but was really friendly . Short blonde hair chick
Loved it. The food , service and ambiance was as expected.
I was a little disappointed in the service although the girl was very nice and pleasant, the service was slow. I was also disappointed in the fact that the dress code that stated business casual was not even close to that. It was more of an off the street fast food sit down joint where you can dress any way you want. I guess my expectations were to high for this restaurant. The food was decent the fact that almost everything had to be purchased separately was ridiculous. 11 dollars for fries really?. I had the sliders which were very good but they did need a little more BBQ sauce which I did ask for extra. In future you should automatically place a little sauce on the side. The drinks from the bar were good. My husband enjoyed his burger no complaints there. Over all it was an experience I wish it would have been a little better. But I would give it a second chance if I were in the area.
I expected more of a sports vibe. The venue is gorgeous and elegant which is always a plus. The drinks were good and the waiters were friendly but even our waiter couldn’t find much that they loved on the menu. The food was decent but not great and not a lot of flavor at all.
This was our first time visiting and we enjoyed the experience. We were greeted and seated quickly. We had to wait a bit for a server, but when she (Lajuanna) arrived it was an amazing experience. Her recommendations were spot on. The Pepper Biscuits w/Bacon Jam were amazing and paired with the Fried Green Tomatoes was FIRE! For dinner we had the Fried Chicken and the Snapper... Both were awesome!
We debated about dessert, they need a few more options on that menu... A nice cobbler or pie would be nice. I had never had Banana Pudding for my own personal reasons, and Lajuanna convinced me to try theirs... she promised I would love it and she was right... WOW!
We will definitely be back when in the area!! Thanks Lajuanna for a great experience :)
The overall experience was cool. There was no one at the front to greet us when we arrived. She couldnt find my reservation - but didnt matter since it was pretty empty.
The food was cool - the mac & cheese was horrible though - definitely boxed and lacked seasoning.
The keylime tart was the best part - would come back for dessert only.
The space is nice. The server Shay, was warm and inviting - appreciate having her!
My husband and I took some friends
The staff were friendly and attentive. The food was really good but macaroni and cheese needed something. If you ate it with a bit of the bread crumbs it was good, but once cold know one ate it. Serving it in a container that maintains the heat keeping the cheese melted maybe all that's needed. Our table had the greens, flat steak, sliders and fried chicken. The chicken is EVERYTHING! Even at a cost of $29/$53 with no sides. The sides were $11 each. We will go again but given the $$$ prices can't make this a regular spot. The drinks were good but also pricy.
Excellent! Food was delicious and portions were large.
It was popping food was good and FRESH! Nice location nice people food was BOMB! Ya hear me :-)
Food wasn't that good........................................................
Brine chicken tasted old and for 1/2 chicken (4 pieces - small leg, small wing, breast & thigh) $29 is way over priced. Especially since it didn’t come with any sides. The burgers ordered med-well were medium, not just pink but bloody. The beet salad was over-dressed with a mix of too hard and too soft beets. The shrimp and grits was the only meal found to be good out of what our party of 4 ordered. Even the coffee was sub par and fullnof grounds. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was fine. Disappointing and over priced.
They were out of quite a few items especially geared toward a vegetarian diet.
Overpriced food, that's all. I recommend the chicken, but cost way too much at $55 for 2 people. Most likely won't return, but I do recommend if your able to spend over $100 for full meal.
This was our second time at the restaurant and unfortunately the food wasn’t as good. My complaints are in regards to the shrimp & grits and biscuits. The sauce was watery, and lacked the awesome favor. The biscuits were too brown , hard and just over baked. Lastly, at 5:00p.m. there were no fried green tomatoes.
I was looking forward to going to this place as I saw it on basketball wives la. The venue itself is beautiful and has a nice open concept. But that is where the positive reviews starts and ends. The waiter never came to check on us and I went thirsty for the duration of my meal. The chicken was good but it is not traditional soul food. It has a herb like crust to it. The Mac and cheese was served cold and therefore not as decadent as it could have been. The drinks were lack luster. The hostess couldn’t even direct us to the ladies room. I will not be returning and it’s so disappointing. Also this is close to the staples center! That’s another positive.
Birthday party for my daughter
I made a reservation prior to coming but when I arrived I found it was not necessary many people were just walking in. Parking cost $30 and they do not validate. The server was very nice however it took a very long time to be served our food and there was no apology or explanation as to why.
Will never go back again. Food was so so but management was worse. Instead of addressing me the manager hid out. While another manager tried to cover for him.
