Shannon's Irish Pub
Went here for lunch and were seated on the patio. It was a beautiful day. The service was fair and the server did say it was only her second day. The food was good. I highly recommend the Champ style potatoes. Steer clear of the Irish coffee. Was the only downer to the meal
Great service of good food with an Irish twist. Great sandwiches and salads.
The noise level was very fine. I think I touched that it was high. Our wait person was delightful. My little sister (she’s a nonverbal) was having a fit because I wouldn’t let her have a coke. Your girl was sweet and patient. Michele settles down and had a wonderful dinner.
You hired the best wait person! Thank you.
We were there on a Saturday afternoon. Our waitress was the bartender. I ordered the pork chops I didn’t care for them. They didn’t have any taste to them also ordered a side salad it was OK.
My wife ordered crabcakes and she said they were terrible.
The drinks were OK. won’t be going back there again.
The food is always amazing, but the service isn't the best. They sit you down and rush you in and out. It's why we don't come often anymore. Also the guy hostess made us wait for a booth when a booth was open and clean right next to the hostess stand. We only come for the food.
1st off are used to go here often and wanted to return back after 2 year hiatus.
Actually move back into the area and wanted to visit my favorite place.
Food and menu is great always love the appetizers the Reuben rolls are great.
The roast beef steak bites are great sandwiches.
Saturday night is definitely this is the place to go.
Dining was fine at Shannon's. We enjoyed our meals and had a good time. Our server was very efficient and helpful throughout the evening. Good place for Irish fare.
It’s one of our go-to places in the neighborhood- warm, friendly, good food and ample beer choices.
As is usually our experience with Shannon's we had good service with great food.
The only hiccup came with our OpenTable reservation in which the reservation for our party was not communicated to the Host and the Host did not seem interested in verifying that we had a reservation. In their defense, the restaurant was very busy at that time and we dine their regularly enough that I feel this was a one off experience.
As always great food, service and value. One of our favorite local places.
Shannon's Irish Pub is one of our local favorites. They always have great food regardless of what you choose with friendly service which is what keeps us coming back again and again.
Also, despite being a "pub" they're accommodating to kids as well with a kids menu with a number of options to appeal to the most finicky of eaters as well as having a stock of coloring books to on hand give them something to do.
Service was excellent and food was delicious
We loved it all! Food, service, ambiance and value were quite enjoyable.
We were a party of ten. Feel like that overwhelmed the restaurant. Staff could not keep up w service. Out of lots of types of beer.
Please credit open table 100 points for the lunch visit. Email was sent to me denying credit
Lovely staff. Warm atmosphere
Yummy food! Fun decor! Great service!
Comfort food (and great salads and salmon) at its best all around, and at the best price, too. Reminds me of the pubs in Ireland, only not having to fly there...great for lunch or anytime, and now that the weather is nice, their terrace outside or a few tables in the front, are great for al fresco dining.
Loved the Irish concept. The food was good. However the portion size didn’t equal the cost. People were friendly
Great service. A mistake was made on the food and it was corrected immediately. The server apologized, fixed the mistake and gave us a piece of pie on the house. She was attentive and accommodating to our group.
What a great find! Great for LENT - but good any other time also. I'll be back.
We were there celebrating St. Patrick's Day. Had a great time, good food and a very nice waitress. I would come back.
Love the fish and. CHips and the burger and fries were great, too.
Was noisy but it was 7:30 reservation on a Saturday and st. Patrick day celebration was starting already a week early.
Waitress very friendly and food came fast.
Will be back very soon.
We just popped in for a fish fry and had a great time. This pub is cute and has a great energetic happy feel to it. Very upbeat. A great place to meet a group for a drink or meal, go on an easy fun date, grab a bite with a pint.
Always a delicious, hearty, tasty meal that's potentially healthy as well. The best in pub food in Glen Ellyn!
Meal was very good and waiter was friendly and efficient. ENnoyable dinner.
Always enjoy my meal here! My friend did as well. The chef has no issue preparing dishes sans salt and everything from broccoli to grilled salmon, grilled chicken, and fries, comes out great!
Great food good atmosphere great service had a great time very accommodating
For an authentic Irish pub in the middle of downtown Glen Ellyn, or anywhere for that matter in DuPage County, you will not find better. The key lime pie is a slice of heaven and the French fries will rival fries almost everywhere else in IL. The sandwiches are hearty and fresh and crave worthy. The chicken with avocado or the Mary Murphy - both are wonderful. Salads are fresh, dressings are homemade and portions are very ample. Need to tone down your sodium intake, they can do it. Want to switch cheeses from Cheddar to Swiss, no problem. Great for friends, families, lone diners.
Shannon’s has a great atmosphere, like stepping into a pub in Ireland. We were seated immediately. The server was very knowledgeable about the food and offered wonderful menu and drink suggestions . The staff was friendly and welcoming on a cold winter’s night. We recommend Shannon Irish Pub wholeheartedly!
