Was there for the first time for Sunday brunch. A very nice spot with a very pleasant ambiance, food, and good seating. The drinks are a little pricey, but oh so good. Would definitely like to come back and check the place out on a Friday or Saturday.
Have more of a variety of food and also some people are allergic to onions.
Music was extremely low and more like elevator music. Food was not great, I’ve never had spicy patelitos before. Extremely spicy. Drinks were alright nothing to brag about. I had to ask multiple times to change the music because it literally felt like a waiting room. Wouldn’t go again, hookah was the only thing I liked. Really unfortunate because the place has potential.
Met some girls to celebrate my birthday and boy did they love the food. I think a little more variety could have been offered as it relates to what you offer in the menu daily. Music was great! The unlimited mimosas were by far unlimited. Thank you
As always, worth the trip from Brooklyn. The vibes on a Friday night were too lit! Food, drinks and service superb! You’ll never be disappointed dining at Shanghai Red, I promise.
They charged 30 per person for an event for 2 drinks mins which was applied to check but even though we drank TWO drinks as required it didn't add up to 90 bucks and they kept the rest also on the receipt it doesn't show gratuity but when they come back with the swiped receipt and you signed it thinking you know what your paying for they add gratuity so we tipped him not knowing also the pad that is good just need less sauce too sweet
It was a Friday night, and they sat my friend and I in the back, where there were 3 big groups of people. Honestly you shouldn’t put singles next to big parties because the groups are loud and children are around. We couldn’t even enjoy ourselves. We were away from the Dj and the party, which was why we went there in the first place. We ordered crispy wings and the wings were baked smh. I had to go find my waiter because he was MIA. When it was time to leave, I have the waiter two cards to split the bill, he only swiped one card because he dropped my card and had to look for it. We only stayed for 30 -45 min, it was not a Good Friday experience.
Ambience was good but the food was horrible. I was celebrating my mother’s birthday and it was party of four. We ordered various plates from the menu including some appetizers. Everyone was very disappointed with the food and only took a few bites from their entrees. From what i could see all the tables in attendance were just having cocktails and hookah. That should’ve been a red flag for me as that the food would have no taste and definitely not at those prices. Also, I had a cocktail and barely had any alcohol. I will definitely not be returning.
Air conditioner should stay on a little longer, while eating , drinking and dancing we definitely were very hot. Overall great place, love it, service on point, food and drinks great! Definitely visiting again!
Totally recommend this place. From the vibes, food, drinks, staff and service it was absolutely amazing!!!!
Food was delicious. Staff was awesome. Music was great. Add-ons were on the pricey side.
I love last Fridays at Shanghai. The music gets you going and Funk Master Flex never disappoints. We have also gone at other times and really enjoy the overall ambiance and vibe. I have had better overall food but there are some good items on the menu. The staff is very helpful in navigating this and ensuring that you are satisfied. This will continue to be a go to spot for us when looking to have fun and get out for a date night or spending time with friends. This is not the place for a quiet dinner to talk and shoot the breeze. This is about having a great time!
THIS PLACE IS A MUST I LIKE THE MIX MUSIC THE FOOD WAS GOOD STAFF WAS NICE 👍🏽
Really great vibe. Highly recommend. Service was great and the happy hour is so worth it.
Very nice place to eat, drink and dance everyone is nice
Everything was gr8 up until the end. Waitress wasn’t aware of birthday celebration and sparkler wasn’t placed on cake. Other than that everything was gr8
Waiter was horrible food took forever to come we waited about 1 hr 30 minutes for food to arrive waiter did not check on us
Nice place , good food and excellent atmosphere!!!
The food is not as good as I was expecting or as good as the reviews made it seem. I ordered the chicken fried rice. It was okay, very bland and lacked seasoning. The drinks are not too good either in terms of taste but they did give me a buzz.
Covid wise, this place is a mess. They check your vaccination card, but once you go inside all of the employees have their mask under their noses. Even my waiter came to us with the mask under his nose. Literally ridiculous.
I’ve been wanting to try this place for some time, but it did disappoint and I definitely will not be returning.
Had a blast. The dj had the house jumping. Great environment friendly staff and people. Will definitely be back.
After 9pm the kitchen closes. That would be great to know before booking a reservation and wasting time going there
This place is amazing. The food was good and they have great music and wonderful service. The waiters have great personality. I planned my birthday here and it was great.
Great food , music ( was a little too loud ) , hookah, and the place is real cute!!
Food was good music is too loud you have to yell in conversation and the service needs a lot of improvement
Food was great I went for Sunday Brunch and the variety choices were made to perfection very tasty and soft texture. Definitely would recommend and may I add the cleanliness was on point ...
Well first the website stated that brunch started at 11:30 so I made reservations for 12:30 I get there and they stated that the information wasn’t updated on the site and they don’t open until 1. So we waited and we were the fist ones there and didn’t get seated until 2p.m due to the fact that things weren’t ready, at this point we was over it but then figured maybe the food was worth the wait and it wasn’t.
Loved it this was my second time came for a ladies night out and had a great time food drinks and hookah was on point .
Celebrated my birthday. We had a great experience.
Service is perfect but the food 50/50 drinks were amazing
We love the service however, the food wasn't the same we was expecting infusion food Asian meets Mexican which wasn't the case. My BFF & I are foodies unfortunately the food didn't given what it needed to be giving. No favor, no seasonings, no salt dry and boring is the best way to describe the food. Also the wait staff should describe the dishes bc the menu doesn't. That would help first timers like myself help with the ordering process.
I loved my food and drinks. The live Dj was an added bonus I need good music when I eat. Can't forget the lighting and decor was beautiful. Definitely making my way back!!
It was GREAT!!!
Lovely restaurant!!! The ambiance is so beautiful, it’s well decorated. The drinks and the food were delicious and my friend and I have no complaints. Our service was great and the music in there is good too!!
Shocked at all the bad reviews because I had such a wonderful time. That large mimosa is honestly meant to be split between 4 people. Overall the food was good the drinks did its job. The hookah could’ve been better though
I really like this place! The food & drinks were awesome. An the staff from the wait staff to the managers were very hospitable & friendly. Will definitely be visiting again !
Dine at your own risk. This place lacks in customer service. Will not be back
They only had one waiter for the whole floor and on bus boy. Our order was wrong and they didn't bring all the sides that went with the meal. They automatically added the tip to the receipt and I was told I had to speak to the manager to have it taking off. I spoke to her and explained why I didnt want to leave the tip and she took it off.
Made a reservation. When I arrived at restaurant I was seated. After a few minutes the waiter came over and informed me that I could not order off the regular menu only the brunch menu because brunch was until 4:00. It was 3:40. I didn't go there for brunch and didn't want eggs late in the afternoon. I left without ordering. It was a waste of my afternoon.
Arrived for brunch with friends. Beautiful decor, but the music was blaring/deafening. My party and I were yelling and still couldn't hear one another.
We ordered a variety of food and was surprisingly disappointed. The pulled beef empanadas looked delicious but when you bit into them, simply tasted like fried dough. The veggies and shrimp, although they were sitting in Szechuan sauce, had a different flavor; not spicy or tangy, but more of a burnt taste. We requested that the sushi rolls be crunchy, but that couldn't be done. The cilantro and sweet chili vinaigrette overpowered the chopped salad. Nothing was on point.
