Shandon Court Ratings and Reviews
Went for restaurant week since we had such a spectacular experience the last time we were here. It I have to say we were disappointed on how long everything took . It took almost 2 hours for just three of us to have dinner and the dining room was not full. I understand sometimes things get crazy but we would have appreciated more communication from our waitress. We waited at least 15-20 minutes for each course and she only came to our table once to say dinner "should be out soon" - no apology, and no sense that she even felt we were waiting. I also wish she would have informed us of the extra charges for specific menu items on the restaurant week menu- not that they were outlandish but it would have been nice to be aware. The food is still very good here and I certainly will come back but maybe not in the middle of the week.
Food was good, and some portions were good. A friend however ordered the seafood special, which consisted of 2 shrimp, 3 scallops, and a tiny piece of mahi mahi. While it was tasty, it was VERY small portion. We mentioned this a few times to waitress, and she had no answer for it. Also they seem to cook fries in the oven, as they were very soggy, they brought a second order but was the same.
Wife and I went here on whim while looking for a local place to eat....wanted to try a place we've not been to before. The service was welcoming, warm, knowledgeable about the menu and very accommodating. Steak was seasoned well and cooked just about perfect. Musician was entertaining but too much Billy Joel. Considering it was an Irish-themed bar, I would have liked a little more authentic Irish music but hey.....it was free so I guess I can't complain too much.
We are def. going to be returning!!!
This was not my first time to Shandon Court, It was for my 13 other friends. My friends thanked me for suggesting we go there, as every one loved their food! Our waiter was polite and patient with us 14 women! Great music to enjoy while we dined and chatted for several hours! Shandon Court is top on my list! Beautiful ambiance. We hoped to sit out on the tropical looking patio, but it rained. A must go place!
Had a dinner get together with the girls and Shandon Court was perfect. Service was friendly and dedicated, the perfect mix of being attentive yet leaving the ladies to chat it up over our wine and cocktails. The chicken special of the night was delicious. We sat outside on the front patio and really had a great time. We'll definitely be back!
I have found my new favorite outside dining spot! The flowers, the waterfall and the cool fabric sails really make for a very comfortable atmosphere even though they are on a main street. They have done a great job of creating a little dining oasis.
This restaurant has a little bit of everytbing: a great menu with unique choices ranging from seafood to meats, pasta and salad. A nice selection of appetizers and desserts. A beautifully adorned dining room with a great layout offering privacy and just the right distance from the live music. All capped off with a fantastic staff from the minute you walk in who make you feel like family.
A very wonderful place with a wonderful staff. I took my family there for Mother's Day Dinner and it was so very enjoyable. The wait-staff was nice and helpful and made sure our glasses were full and fixed our wobbly table right away. The atmosphere was perfect for dinner out.
We ordered a bottle of wine, only to find it was unavailable. We ordered a second bottle of wine...unavailable. The potato soup was tasteless, more like starch dissolved in water. The onion-mushroom side dish was cold, oily, and also tasteless. The prime rib was cool when served. It was a disappointing dining experience.
What was most notable about our experience here was the waitress Loretta. She was so friendly, outgoing and extremely service oriented. She knew it was our first time there and helped make it a very pleasant experience. She recommended their top dishes, apps, sides etc. We would definitely go back there.
As in the past our dining experience was so pleasant and enjoyable! We made a reservation for 5 and showed up with 8, they made us feel very comfortable and did their best to accommodate us. We tried the specials and we're very happy with everything. The service was pleasant and attentive, even made an entree to special order for my friends allergies. We had a wonderful evening! We never felt rushed and our waitress checked on us several times, even made a great impression on our friends who have never been to Shandon Court, overall a great choice!
Ordered the chicken piccata special which was tasteless and looked anemic when presented. One member in our party ordered prime rib which they ran out of and another ordered corned beef and cabbage. For an Irish restaurant, this should have been a "safe" meal but the potatoes and cabbage were way under cooked and corned beef was pretty bad as well. Very disappointing. Will never go back !
the prime rib ordered by 3 of the 8 members of my family was very very poor as tough as nail actually inedible 2 people ordered pasta which was very over cooked and barley eaten. of the the 2 fish dishes ordered 1was enjoyed the other not. of the meals ordered 1 entree was enjoyed and actually eaten. unfortunatly the service was slow we had a 5pm reservation and did not leave until 7;15pm.
We came here for a last minute holiday dinner and we were thrilled with the choice. I pick my restaurants via opentable, I left specific directions in the reservation and they were followed and surpassed. I was very impressed with the scratch kitchen. The waitstaff is formal and attentive but polite and enjoyable. Overall a very nice evening. I will be back.
