Shan Social House
Shan Social House serves high-end Asian fusion in a luxurious atmosphere hidden away in Beverly Hills. The decor elements have been brought in from Japan, and the whole restaurant is an exact replica of the building in Japan where the movie Kill Bill by director Quentin Tarantino was filmed. The exterior has koi ponds and a serene garden entry along with an interior courtyard.
Shan Social House starters include house salad, seaweed salad and miso soup. The entrees at Shan Social House range from fresh and well-prepared sushi, sukiyaki and shabu shabu with filet mignon, rib eye and A5 wagyu beef. Seafood choices include shrimp tempura, honey shrimp and lobster chili. Diners can also enjoy eating outside in the wrap-around balcony. The lovely setting of Shan Social House and top-notch service make it feel like a very special occasion when eating there.
An awesome experience as usual.
Empty place. Sub-par food quality and taste. Uninspired service. Low quality wine. Not recommended.
Always a great experience. Great service.
Their sushi is awesome. Wolrd-class dining experience every time.
No sushi on a Sunday night. We had excellent shabu shabu. The restaurant is nice and quiet. Good services.
The best Asian restaurant in Beverly Hills!!!
Always a wonderful choice for sushi in Beverly Hills. Three thumbs up!
Been several times now...always wonderful experience from parking to food/ ambiance/ service and back to the car. And even complimentary items. Everything well executed.
Taste of dishes ordered was good, however the Sushi can use better presentation on plate although taste was good. Soup was bought after an entree which is not proper order. In the pictures online the restaurant shows a top floor and better lighting but upon arriving at the restaurant I was informed the top floor is not yet open because "We have not had our grand opening" still received a good table on lower floor but confusing as to why all floors are not open. Staff was polite and I think the restaurant has potential.
The ambiance is great, but only few patrons for quite a spacious restaurant. The beef dishes were excellent and the service was great. However, sushi and sashimi were only so so.
We loved our first experience at Shan Social House. Unfortunately, because we were with our elderly parents, we had to enjoy an early reservation (6:30pm) and were only one of two groups at the restaurant so it was quite empty which was made more obvious by the large space. But the food and service were wonderful. Looking to go back without the parents for a more lively experience.
Made a reservation on open table , arrived even 5 minutes early and they told me they were closed . Very upsetting
Never crowded, great good and I loved the music and the well decorated dining areas.
This was my first time at Shan Social House. I went with my wife and two sons. We had a great time. The food was great and the ambiance is probably the best in L.A. The sushi was not as great as some sushi restaurants, but it was still good. I will definitely go back.
Awesome food, awesome service!!!
Monday night at 7 o’clock the place was absolutely dead. Decor was really nice, food was ok, price was very reasonable.
This place deserves some Michelin stars... Amazing attention to detail, great service and beautiful garden.
20 year anniversary
Nice overall. Food was excellent and especially the meat.
Outstanding food! Beautiful place and atmosphere. Very kind owners who made us feel at home with thier exceptional service and hospitality. Feels like you’re in Japan.
This is a hidden gem in Beverly Hills. Many people will not know that it is a restaurant by its name. It serves very good shabu-shabu, sushi, sashimi, and other interesting dishes. It has good parking. When you enter the restaurant, you almost feel that you are somewhere in Japan with a beautiful Japanese garden and a koi pond. They serve the best wyagu beef but be prepared to pay for what you will get. The staff is friendly and helpful.
The best Asian restaurant in Beverly Hills. Two thumbs up!!!
Went on a Sunday night with reservations, there were only 2 or 3 other parties in the restaurant.
I said "thank you" in Korean to the hostess and I think it threw off our social game with the rest of the staff. All interactions with servers felt awkward. Expect the dishes to come out in random intervals. We got the omakase - the noodles for the soup came 30 minutes after the boiling soup arrived. Is that normal?
The kids love this place. There is a beautiful garden full of fish and baby turtles. The food was great and delicate. It had lots of seafood. Their service was wonderful. It’s a great place to entertain and very kid friendly.
An awesome hidden gem in Bev. Hills. Great food, great service and beautiful and romantic garden.
Such an awesome restaurant deserving a Michelin Star...
Beautiful location. Kinda quiet for a Saturday night but the food was delicious
The wagyu beef shabu shabu is wonderful. Very recommended.
The food and service was amazing and the ambiance was superb!
very good service, excellent seafoods and steaks, highly recommend for a romantic night out.
Romantic and calm, can have a nice conversation
One of the most awesome gems in Beverly Hills. It deserves a Michelin star (or two). Three thumbs up.
The waygu was soooo good~~
Fantastic Atmosphere & service but lacking in really great food . Almost everything came to the table ice cold !
It is a good restaurant overall but a bit pricy... there is no way you could leave this restaurant without spending less than $100 per person! That is the minimum. Quality of food and service was high but expensive!
