First time here, excellent, only 20 seats, recommend getting reservations, BYOB,got a LARGE carafe of O J $8.00. Had about 10 choices for the brunch ! They said small plates, but large portions . You can keep ordering. Shannon our waitress was great, even popped our Champagne cork, for us. Best deal in Cape May$20. Going back next week!

We came for a small bachelorette party and this place had a great vibe and we all enjoyed the experience. The food was delicious and well paced throughout the night, the music was loud but we still could hear each other and we were jamming to some great tunes. The ambience was dark and dimly lit but very cool and the waitress was so fun. Would definitely come back again. Overall, a great place to bring a group of friends.

Just a suggestion.. if you are doing a mystery tapas you need to at least specify it is going to be spicy HOT 😔! It was also extremely cold 😔! I realize tapas is small portions but these portions were barely a bit size ! No I wouldn’t recommend to a friend !

This is not your average breakfast, this place has taken brunch to another level. We enjoyed everything we tasted but the blackened shrimp and lemon blueberry pancakes were the best.

Our second time visiting. We love the concept of the small plates and a great variety of dishes. The server was great, explaining each dish and answering any questions. She brought an ice bucket for our BYOB wine. We think the atmosphere and vibe is great, the dining room a little dark with great music. We love it and if didn’t live 10 hours away would visit more often.

Be ready for a culinary adventure. We had 15 excellent courses. The only near miss was perfectly seared Ahi tuna that needed more flavor on the plate. In addition to the excellent food and beautiful presentation, we also enjoyed the Spotify music selection.

We had a phenomenal brunch at Shamone today. Our server, Shannon, ran the dining room by herself and was fabulous! The food is amazing! Favorites were the ricotta blueberry pancake and the quiche. For $20/pp, we were able to relax and enjoy many options. Can’t wait to return so we can order the rest of the menu!

Such a unique dinner experience! The waitress was excellent. Each course was tasty and the food presentation was excellent as well. At the end of our meal, the chef came over to each table...very nice touch. The ambiance was perfect (by the way, great playlist!). I recommend Shamone to anyone who has a sense of adventure regarding food. We hope to be back again. P.S. Their brunch is awesome too!

I have been coming to Cape May for an annual conference for 25 years. Over this time period, I have been to almost every restaurant located in Cape May with the exception of Shamone. This year I searched for a new place to bring my new partner and found this online. I have to say this restaurant is now my new favorite place. The atmosphere was very trendy and seductive like an old speak easy - very cool. The display of each tapas item was a creative piece of artwork. Each tapas item was filled with flavors that were unique and so delicious. The staff was equally unique and attentive to our needs of food allergies and extremely friendly. We loved that the chef came to our table after our wonderful dining experience. It was a wonderful experience and we will definitely be going back every year and spreading the word about this hidden treasure. 💜

Second time having a spectacular dinner dining experience! The 15 dishes were completely different than the first time. Each dish was unique and perfectly prepared. The sauces and spices and combinations of ingredients are all so interesting and delicious. If you are a picky eater this is not the place for you, but if you love to experiment with a wide range of flavors then this is the place. Very small dining area, great music selections and a fun place with friends. I have also had their brunch two times and it is just as good!

Amazing experience for any town let alone a beach town. Blacked out room with candles, club level music, which definitely will not appeal to all patrons. Food was very good with multiple small courses, some truly exceptional. One waiter who was just outstanding! Bring plenty of wine because you will be there for at least 2+ hours . Only negative would be sitting on the backless stools for that long. They need to be replaced. Probably the best culinary value I have experienced in Cape May and I have dined there for years and own a home there.

We really enjoyed the “Matinee” experience. This was an abbreviated 7 course instead of 15 course sampling. It was perfect. The service was great, the atmosphere was nice and the food was terrific. Of course, don’t miss out on visiting the Twilight Zone theme bathroom! LOL.

Food quality was significantly decreased from the last three times we have visited the establishment. Me and my partner both were surprised as food had always been very consistent and this trip there were several issues with different courses. In fact, we left early and went in and ate at the blue pig tavern over at Congress Hall, because we were displeased. The staff was friendly, and we did not make them aware as by the time we realize we felt it was too far into the meal, and didn’t want to be perceived negatively.

Great time! A little quirky. I think that’s the point, but once you get beyond the initial walk in, it’s fun and delicious! Was “event” dining! Best bang for your Buck in Cape May too!

Innovative concept. Food was well done and ample. Some was too spicy for one of us, a group of 3. Interior was dark and the music was too loud so having a conversation was challenging. Bar stool type seating was uncomfortable. The entire experience took well over 2 hours. A fascinating evening. I would return but the other 2 would not.

The service and overall experience was phenomenal. Unlike any other normal dining experience. The food was good but there were a few of the tasting menu items that were boring and bland, leaving us wanting for slightly better results. The desert was also not the best choice and tasted like a box made cupcake.
