Growing up in an immigrant Indian family, we understood that America is the land of opportunity, where dreams come true. We're grateful to all the guests who have given us the opportunity to share our vision.

Some restaurants are ideal for special occasions. Indeed we hope many of you, our guests, will celebrate birthdays, anniversaries and other memorable events with us. But, at Shalimar we strive to make every lunch and dinner a special occasion for every guest.

When we open the doors to the restaurant for lunch, dinner or catering, it's as if we're opening the doors to our own homes and inviting guests to enjoy extraordinary food paired with a rich Indian lager beer or a glass of wine from our extensive wine list.

Our menu features the finest Northern Indian entrees and our specialty Tandoori (Clay Oven) dishes.

Shalimar is elegant, relaxed, and affordable, inviting guests to enjoy the hospitality that reflects our Indian heritage.

    I’m disappointed to report that our experience was poor. Many of our friends rant and rave about this restaurant, but we did not share the same experience. The portion sizes were quite small for the prices. More than 3/4 of the goat in our goat curry was inedible (bones/fat) and there were six small cubes of paneer in our paneer masala. The samosas didn’t seem fresh, like they were left over from the buffet. The naan was very fresh, but the garlic butter didn’t taste good.

    Always excellent there. And one of the managers was kind enough to get the University of Louisville basketball game on the TV for me. Everyone there goes out of their way to make dining at Shalimar an enjoyable experience.

    Love Shalimar's food. Even my family loved their food and dessert. They are really picky eaters ( I have a 6 year old and a 10 year old) so I was surprised. Great prices, atmosphere, service and we didn't have a wait to get a table.

    Dined with friends , each of us bought wdrb gift certificates. There policy allows only one gift certificate per table! Even though we were separate couples! Read your fine print, under impression bread was served with meal & was charged an extra $5 for it. Portions were also very small.
