   We made reservations but didn’t get sat for an additional 30 minutes. Once seated the waitress didn’t come over for another 2 mins. The food lacked flavor, which they rectified by bringing more seasoning. This was the worst service I have ever gotten from them. Typically they are great with service and flavor. I think last night was a fluke but it wasn’t good service by any means. I’ll go back and try them again since the food is delicious.

   Food was great but service was horrible. I mean we sat at a table for 10 minutes before someone took our order and the place wasn’t even full. Thankfully the food made up for the service.

   What a fun dinner!! If you like seafood and getting messy, this is the place. It was a very fun and filling dinner. Can’t wait to return.

   The food was amazing. The crab and lobster boil was to die for. Quiet atmosphere with great food and service! Will definitely be back even though I live 45 minutes away! Worth the trip!

   I went to this place prior to the pandemic and it was great. Went out last night and the food quality declined drastically. The food was extremely salty. Ordered the lobster roll and it was frozen and tasted old. Had so much celery and onion. extremely disappointed. Will never go back.

    Having only tried a few appetizers here, what we have tried has always been great, Their Cajon fries are like 5-Guys but without the overwhelming heat and spice that make the first mouthful be reduced to a strong burning sensation that I don't enjoy. They also come out perfectly crispy with no sogginess whatsoever. Their mac and cheese and garlic noodles come out perfect each time. Very creamy but not thick and not watery at all. It is also a lifesaver for handling the spice of the main event. Depending on your preparation with hot and spicy food, the Shakin' Hot is a very formidable adversary, but after running the gauntlet, very enjoyable once it's all done. Potatoes are best if you want to eat all the sauce you can as they absorb everything. The corn is amazing, though watch for squirting on that first bite, I was almost maced because I underestimated how much sauce with in between the kernels. I've always done shrimp and on the rare occasion, crab legs and lobster tails. The clams are the only hit-or-miss as you can either get some meat with the seasoning or slurp a mouthful of seasoning with no clam inside. The Newton location is very quant but very warm and inviting. Great selection of drinks with signatures. Without alcohol, it will be about $80 for 2 people with 1 appetizer and bag combo each. Very well worth it and always a favorite when in town. Please tip them well, they deserve to continue to be a staple in the community.
