This was my first time going. I definitely enjoyed the food and the service was excellent.
Food was good. Service was great. But everything is in plastic bags. If you want to take food home? Another plastic bag. The waste from the restaurant could turn the Common into a mountain of plastic. You can't run a business like that anymore. Not if you care about trying to do your part for this troublesome world. I'll never go back.

Fun date idea. Great quick service and great sauces/spices, but would recommend sticking with shrimp and muscles to get the most for your money. Difficult to get meat from crab legs as usual
Disappointed that there’s no lobster available at the time of our dining on a state where lobster is the main food feature.
It is way too hot. There needs to be a fan or air conditioner installed. I have to go outside in the middle of my meal to get air because I was uncomfortable and sweating.
Great food. I like spicy food and the dish was to my delight how I like it. Great ambiance , not too noisy.

I’ve been to all Shaking Crab locations in Massachusetts and this one by far is my least favorite. The floors were very sticky and they had only been open for less than an hour. Serving staff was nice but a little pushy. Three different servers kept coming to our table asking to take our order. When we finally placed a starter order for french fries, the order took forever to come out and wasn’t fresh. I could tell that the fries had been sitting. My entree also wasn’t as hot as it should have been. Whenever I order a combo bag the food is usually steaming, that was not the case with this order. All in all my experience at this location was very disappointing and I have no intentions to return.
Loved the overall experience. The gloves, napkins, trash bag, and bib were quite the added touch. Definitely would recommend to friends and for sure any seafood lover.
This is a wonderful place. The people were friendly the food was absolutely amazing and i would definitely recommend it to a friend. I brought my friend from florida and he loved it. Thank you shaking crab for a great night!!!!
Crab legs and shrimp were great, but the surprise were the sides. Garlic Mac n cheese was gooey and tasty. And the collard greens were the best I’d ever had— fresh, tangy, lemony, garlicky and delicious!
Food could have used more salt. Service was attentive, but not as knowledge of the offerings.

The waitress was not too attentive. Took long to get her attention. The crawfish was not fresh despite it being called fresh as the flesh was mushy and fell apart. The head on shrimp was clearly previously frozen as the meat also fell apart and was mushy.
They hardly gave us enough gloves to eat the meal properly. Gloves were of low quality n all the grease seeped through. The sauce was inconsistent between the different seafood. Only the mussels had lemon in them and tasted better than the other bags of seafood. Some were more greasy and some were more dry in terms of the sauce.
Food was fabulous! Very minimal service needed and no wait time! Delicious!

The food, that actually came out considering a few things ordered never made it to our table, was the only saving grace. First and foremost, we were placed at the first table near the entrance where you could feel the winds every time the door was opened. Secondly, a few items that we ordered weren’t even brought to the table. There were three of us, two of us received our meals and the other did not. When he did receive his meal, he realized items were missing within it. We relayed the missing food entree and appetizer items to the waitress to which she replied with an attitude asking “what we’d like her to do then?” After that attitude, she didn’t come back to our table anymore and had someone else deal with us. Very unprofessional the way she handled the situation. As I stated, the food was good but I won’t be coming back to this location.
The food was great but check out was terrible. Our waitress had an attitude and was very confusing. But hopefully when you go they are in better spirits
This is a newer location, the location is great, the food is fantastic as always. My issues were with the staff being attentive but inexperienced. In time this may get better. Huge issue with the bill and the tip. Not sure everyone understands the billing model utilized at this location. We almost felt tricked but a question cleared up the issue. I wish them luck!
The tables are too close. I could hear the other tables entire conversation and we had to keep moving our chair so they could get in and out.
UNFORTUNATELY, we made a reservation through Open Table to arrive to the restaurant to a hand-written CLOSED notice taped to the door due to some HVAC issue. Would have been nice to know the restaurant was closed for repairs before driving 2 hours to Boston for the day. We were really looking forward to it from a Phantom Gourmet episode, which side note: I'm starting to learn Phantom Gourmet is advertising hack places because this isn't the first time we've had a bad experience from one of their episode recommendations. Anyway, the restaurant should have called us ASAP to notify us of the issue. This told me they do not really value their customers, plus reviews online told me this place would be iffy anyway. Should have gone with my gut.
I loved the food and the place was cute. The only things is that the restaurant is small so it’s hardly any space.
At the same time, I would definitely return.

Love the food at shaking crab however I wouldn’t recommend this location :( it wasn’t the best experience and the amount of food I received wasn’t as much as I usually get from other locations. The other locations fill my bag with lots of sauce!!! This location was very skimpy.
I’ve been to this location twice and I’ve experience poor service both times. Staff not organized. Host will have you wait for 20 min without even coming to check on you or apologize for the wait. We made a reservation and still had to wait 30 min to be seated because the staff didn’t want to open another table upstairs even though downstairs was packed and they already had people upstairs. I only come to this location because it’s closer, moving forward I will be going to the one in Quincy even though it’s far. I rather drive far than deal with this poor service. My experience was so bad that I’m writing my first ever review.

Great place to eat while visiting. Alaskan king crab legs were excellent.
Customer service was horrible, food was cold. Employees were standing around . we had to ask for slicers, the bill, napkins, gloves, etc .. would not recommend this location. Management was rude and not understanding. Ordered food that was never brought out

This was the most horrible experience ever. The food taste very tangy,it was not fresh at all. I really was excited to go there and I was so disappointed. It was a waste of time and money
