   We waited almost an hour for our food, clearly the ordered had been forgotten, we were the 1st people in the restaurant and the last to be served. The server, made excuses for the kitchen, instead of acknowledging the error. They ran out of champagne for brunch mimosa's, then hollandaise which was apparently another reason for the delay. Our food was cold when received, we had 4 orders and 3 came out together, the last order took another 5 minutes. No compensation was offered. We have been to the restaurant before and loved it, but this time was very dissappointing.

   Enjoyed our meal. The staff were wonderful. The drinks are overpriced for the size of the glass. Overall we enjoyed our experience.

   The staff at Shakers went out of their way to make us comfortable. When we arrived it obviously became apparent to the greeter that the high tables would not work for our group of 4 seniors. They quickly set up a regular table and chairs and made us very comfortable. Our meal was excellent, the smoked prime rib was fabulous and we all agreed that the dessert of sticky toffee pudding was the best any of us have had in other places of the world. Our only disappointment was the “original” martini which was one of three in the martini flight. Am not sure what it was that was offensive in this drink but it was not pleasant. Two of our party ordered the flight and we both left almost a full drink. It could be because we both normally drink vodka martinis but am sure a gin martini should taste better than what we were served. The food was excellent, the beef was tasty and perfectly done but think the presentation could be spiffed up a bit. All that said, kudos to the chef and reception staff, it was a great dinner and we will be back.

   The service and staff were great as was food and drinks. We were there on a Friday night, which is also when they have live music, which was a bonus.

   Saturday night- For a restaurant with Winery in their name, our group was disappointed that they didn’t serve white wine or beer. Ordered prawn salad, 90% lettuce. Total of 3 tables filled in the restaurant. Not the experience our group was looking for.

   I made a reservation for a birthday brunch with my 88 year old parents. They saw us walk in and immediately realized their hi-top dining style would be difficult for my parents so they created a special table for us with lower, more comfortable chairs. Brunch was delicious and the staff were all so amazing creating a fantastic experience for the 3 of us. I totally recommend this place for an afternoon or evening with friends!
