Gorgeous facility with many options to sit and enjoy the surroundings. We are wine club members and ordered our complimentary wine tasting which includes a chef selected trio of appetizers. Then of course more wine! Shady Creek wines have improved dramatically over the past year and they offer a wide variety of delicious wines. We were there on a Wednesday evening but will return in a Friday night or Sunday afternoon when they have live music!

We always have a blast meeting friends from new buffalo and granger here! Beautiful place, excellent wine, and fantastic people! You better believe we will be back :)

Shady Creek Winery has gone from a nice, regional winery to a must-see destination with access to Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore Chicago! Our table of five visited from Chicago, Illinois; Kalamazoo, Michigan; and Holland, Michigan the weekend after the official Re-Grand Opening. There is now much more space, both indoors and out. The gift shop is separate and filled with wonderful items, and one of the dining areas features dog wallpaper and dog portraits. Our party ordered two bottles of wine: Lighthouse (white) and the Syrah 2020 (red). Both were delicious with our sizzling cheese, 2x bruschetta trio, Ricky's pizza, mushroom flatbread, Italian sausage flatbread, and BLT panini. We also ordered three desserts: flourless chocolate cake, sweet cinnamon pretzels, and brie and apples. Every single thing was great. I was especially impressed because I had looked at a the menus of a couple of Chicago Riverwalk menus the week prior. Not only were the Chicago Riverwalk menus far more expensive, but the menus were far less impressive. Shady Creek Winery's menu is devoid of burgers and street tacos. It's menu highlights spicy fig jam, arugula, and currant sauce. Basil Prosciutto is far more exciting than french fries. The staff was wonderful, especially Jane who first greeted us. One of the few complaints we had was that the person who seated us (not Jane) did not explain that we needed to order food at the bar. She only told us that they had bar service and that Shady Creek is now pay as you go. We thought this meant for alcohol only. We did not realize this meant we had to order our food at the bar too. Nonetheless, we figured things out. We had a lovely time, and we look forward to our next visit!
