The restaurant offers both cozy booths and intimate tables for couples, as well as a communal sharing table, casual counter dining and a private dining room seating 16.
Staff were amazing, loved how they always top up your glass for the brunch. Food was average and overpriced.
My favourite restaurant in Soho. Great array of sharing plates, fun vibes, good drinks and incredible dessert!
Superb service from young Asian guy (Friday 15th - 5.30pm)
Delicious food, unexpected at times, great service and would strongly recommend. One of my favourites.
Fantastic food and loved being in one of the booths. despite there being a time limit we were never rushed. Bill can easily rack up - you'll want to try everything on the menu and it's not the cheapest
Best “bi-bim-bap” I know. Called hot-stone rice in there.
I went to the Sunday brunch. Amazing food and lots to drink for not that much money. The food is so good! I've been there twice and wow. Service is a bit slow in the beginning which might be to prevent people for ordering too much food.
My only complaint is that the restaurant is extremely loud, and it's difficult to speak to people sitting across from you without shouting. It's not the music, it's the design of the restaurant walls and ceiling and the closeness of the tables.
Incredible food as always and a great vibe, having been a number of times before we weren't let down! Our friends had never been before and were blown away by the food. The yuzu margherita's are also a favourite!
The food is incredible. Everything we had was amazing - particular highlights being the tuna tacos, katsu sando and the beef bavette 🤤
Slow service. Mains came out at very different times. 10 mins between the first hot stone rice and the other 2.
The food was appalling. Ordered the rabbit Katsu but the curry didn’t taste remotely like it. It’s just a sour piece of mess, although the actual rabbit was deliciously tender so I guess that’s ok.. the fish was salty and they even ruined sushi...we ordered soft shell crab maki and it just tasted like nothing. The rice was warm, somehow the carrots and pickle didn’t even have any taste..just a mush! The only redeeming quality was the chicken wings but the rest...wat?? We were so confused why there were so many people here.
Another thing, booked the table for 7.30. Didn’t seat us till 7.50 and they kept seating people behind us? Maybe they have set seating but obviously not a good system.
One of the waiter assumed my friend was Chinese and said “Xie Xie” which is thank you in mandarin...Never assume people’s ethnicity please...especially as an Asian fusion restaurant and located in London, which is full of culture!!!
Food was absolutely fantastic.
Service however was shocking. On arrival despite having booked literally for given the worst seat in the house in narrowly squeezed in between two other tables, despite they’re being loads of free tables available with more room. Never in my life have I had to tell a waiter to slow slow down. Kept coming over every couple of mins to see what plates he could take away. Felt like he was trying to get us out of there within 45 mins. Really tainted a nice catch up with my dad.
Ambience was fairly basic, could offer so much more I’d done right.
Delicious, really enjoyed it. Especially the salmon taco which we had to have twice!
The service was really bad and slow. It’s a shame as the food is really good
Service was great! We had the taster menu and that was good for 2 people who were not very hungry, but if we hungry I think it would have been a bit too small.
Great service let down by nondescript food
Fantastic food, fantastic service. Such an interesting menu, I went for my birthday and took friends who had travelled from outside London. All were so pleased with the atmosphere and quality of the food.
Would recommend to anyone!
Incredible food and surroundings. I appreciated the phone call to confirm our reservation and check for allergies
The venue was brilliant and the food was excellent, staff were friendly and helpful but the night was let down by the long wait to get drinks. We ended up having to leave before the second round of drinks we had ordered even turned up
The waiters were attentive without being in your face, explained the menu, you weren't rushed. The for was great, we had a selection of Tapas. The atmosphere was friendly and relaxing, not too noisy.
Great pre-show meal. Service was fast and attentive. Food was delicious and enjoyed by the whole table.
Space felt a little bit crammed and had to keep moving our drinks off the table to make space for plates etc.
I would recommend it to a friend but with tips because if you are a first timer you will end up probably sitting at the bar even though you booked a table and made sure on letting them before hand that you only want a table.
Was too loud and even though the service was good and attentive, the original response of reservations team to sit in a bar (even though i called twice to make sure we get a table) left a bitter taste.
Shame as in the past i left 5 star review
A really nice meal. I’ll be back!
This is probably my favourite restaurant in London for its mix between great food but not overpriced. Prawn toast, Korean fried wings and the spicy mushroom are amazing. But truly not eaten anything I have not loved. Great, great, great!
I loved my experience at Shack-Fuyu. The food was delicious and the service was absolutely outstanding. The staff were extremely accommodative and attentive (without being overbearing).
Three of us visited the restaurant in Compton Street on Saturday at 6pm. I chose this restaurant as a result of reviews that I had seen on Open Table and Time Out Magazine. The three of us chose very different options from the menu and as a result had a choice of items to nibble from. The food was of good quality, hot and reasonable value.
Our assistant (whose name I can't remember, sorry), was extremely attentive, but not a nuisance. The drinks available were of a reasonable prices too and the speed of service swift.
The only complaint would be that one dish (broccoli) came out about 3 - 5 minutes before the others - it's not really something to eat by itself, so it would have been much better if this had stayed under the hot light/pass rather than being brought to the table.
Great service, food and general vibes. Even better prawn toast.
Everything was great. Food was amazing, staff was kind and fun. Only problem is that we waited over an hour for a couple of our dishes and asked three different people to check on it. It wasn’t until the third person we asked that we found out that the order had been forgotten and that they were finally making it. So when it eventually came out, we asked for take away boxes but they had run out so we couldn’t even take it away and ended up having to waste three dishes of food.
Delicious food. Just a little pricey for what you get!
Pricing doesn’t really match up with sizing of dishes. Some dishes are more expensive but quite small, others are cheaper but larger. Waitress recommended 2 of the smaller plates per person, but if you’re hungry would definitely recommend 3.
Just a brilliant evening. The food was interesting and so tasty. Our waiter was friendly and helpful.
It was quite commercial
We dined here as a small group. It got really loud to the point where we couldn’t really hear each other even though we were a group of three.
We ordered a variety of food but the iberico pork katsu was disappointing. Over cooked and over salted by a lot, so much so we had to order a side of rice to accompany the dish and by the time that arrived we didn’t really want anymore of the food.
Nice to try but wouldn’t be back in a hurry.
Amazing food, very friendly staff, served quickly. Would recommend!
One of the best restaurants I've been to in London - great food, unique, fantastic service, great ambience.
Definitely recommend and will definitely be going again!
The Korean fried chicken and kinako french toast are must haves here!! Amazing as always
Very loud and stressed staff. Food is good though.
It was lovely but we did feel a bit rushed! That was a problem as our starts came before our drink and mains before we finished starters etc
Highly recommended. Unexpected quaint atmosphere with great service and wonderful dishes!
