The food was over priced and at best average in terms of quality. The service was almost non-existent.
Amazing food. Lively atmosphere and excellent staff. Can't wait to go again.
Great food with good prices
Absolutely superb all round. Very quick, reasonably priced given the location in the theatre district and very nice servers. Highly recommended.
Not many vegetarian options, and every one there is is made of mushroom!
Food was good but service not so good. They didn’t have my booking from opentable to start with which caused a delay. Then we were told our 2 hour bottomless brunch starts from the minute we sit at our table which seems a bit unfair, should be from when we order. Food was good but I was often waiting for my drink to be refilled. I had to ask about 4 times at one point. Also our dessert took a long time to come but we were told we couldn’t have another drink as the 2 hours was up, even though we had to wait over 25 minutes for our desert and the fact I had to ask several times for a refill.
Very good food! Very good food! Very good food! Very good food! Very good food!
The food was average and its a shame it had the potential to be much better. Chewy steak, overcooked salmon, undercooked and rubbery tasteless gyoza. We also ordered rice to go with the large dishes but had 5 minutes between salmon and rice and then a further 15 minutes for the steak. Really disappointed!
Outstanding visit, food amazing and top quality service. Not rushed, highly recommended.
Although all the food tasted good, it wasn’t that exciting a menu and was quite expensive for the quality of food served. Don’t think we will go again
Perfect for a group and lovely staff! Would definitely come again
Good atmosphere. Waiter was excellent & informative.
Recommend by Off the Menu podcast and didn’t disappoint me. Will be back to try the rest of the me u x
The restaurant was a lot noisier than we were led to believe by the website(s). We were told that the food was going to come out as it was prepared, as appose to in order of courses or order etc.
This wasn't (or shouldn't have been) a problem, but we were left waiting for quite a while for the starters all to come out, almost as if they were their own courses. When the first main course came out, the main meal was for one person but the side dish for another, but was given to the same person which meant the meal went to the wrong person.
We didn't know this until the other courses trickled out, by which time half the (wrong) main was already eaten.
If you're going to insist on delivering food as and when it's ready, at least take greater steps to ensure its going to the right person. It seems a very haphazard way of serving food which benefits the establishment rather than the customer.
Very disappointing customer, especially for the price paid.
Outstanding food, and service for the majority of the meal was good. However when we received the bill the waiter was extremely angry when we said we would pay half the OPTIONAL service charge. Really put a dampener on what had been an amazing meal. Very disappointed with this
Food was delicious, the service was faultless!
I was really impressed by this place. We went without any expectations and without reading any reviews but still curious to discover a new place.
We opted for the tasting menu along with the Wyagu course which was delightful! All course tried were great but the wagyu one and the Iberico Pluma were outstanding.
The Kinako Frech toast was a nice dessert that emphasizes the popular Japanese flavours of bean powder and matcha.
They had a good option of cocktails and mocktails but I'm a tea lover so I went for the Oolong.
The service was friendly and efficient. All in all, we had a wonderful dinner.
We had a great family lunch, a menu deep enough to keep the varied palette's in our family all very happy, and our waiter was brilliant, telling us to stop ordering! And thankfully we did, great portion sizes and as important a really nice buzzy vibe that made it all the more enjoyable. Will be back!
Incredible tasting menu, well worth the money. Would recommend to anyone.
Fantastic tasting menu - great wine too. Excellent and attentive service
Korean fried wings & french toast with matcha ice cream were a personal favourite!
Absolutely loved it!! The staff were so friendly and accommodating. Never felt like we waited too long to get any service and with the bottomless brunch our glasses were never empty. Would absolutely do it all I’ve left again.
The food was delicious.
I had heard about Shack FuYu from the podcast OffMenu and decided to check it out for myself. I am please to say it lived up to all my expectations. The food was absolutely delicious.
I will highly recommend this restaurant from now on.
Heard about the restaurant from the Off Menu podcast and it exceeded expectations!! Service was a little slow to start but we went at a very busy time so understandable. The miso aubergine I will dream about it was out of this world. Would come back again and again.
Absolutely delicious. Very attentive and helpful staff.
We all ordered off the pre-theatre menu , and the food was amazing. I was pleasantly surprised by the portion sizes, and it was all cooked to perfection. I would recommend this to anyone who was looking for food in the area.
Excellent food and service but noisy
The restaurant weren’t able to accommodate our eating preferences very well and did not seem particularly sorry about it. The portion sizes were enormous but they were not able to pack anything of the leftovers up for us at the end. The amount of food waste was terrible.
Amazing food and service. Everything was completely faultless. Can't wait to come back.
Having been to Bone Daddies for ramen, I knew that the food was going to be excellent. The setting is a bit more formal (no need to share tables for group noodle-slurping) but still very relaxed and comfortable. For dinner we ordered a selection of the izakaya-style dishes and a few bao for sharing. Delicious! Also had several bottles of sake to accompany the food. Whole bill was pleasantly inexpensive -- around £55/person. Definitely coming back!
Thoroughly enjoyed our Sunday brunch here. The service was really good - attentive, friendly, and our glasses were always full! It was good value for money as we both left absolutely stuffed and after a good amount of booze! The food was delicious, could have happily just eaten the small plates and not had a big meal. The desert was honestly the best ever, I didn't want it to end and will definitely have to return even if just for that!
I loved the place. Unfortunately we made a 22:00 reservstion therefore the employees needed to close the restaurant in a hurry to head home. Personally I got a bit stressed seeing everyone packing up the place and me eating. Also the food came all at once, a bit overwelming as well. I felt like I needed to hurry up. Hence the minor letdown from the ambience and service. Overall definitely recommend and will rivisit; just a bit earlier in the evening!
Very noisy and slow service. Nice food but overpriced.
Some of the best food i've ever eaten. The noise level is perfect too
Food was absolutely delicious highly recommend. Will definitely be returning.
We were recommended by a friend, and our experience was just perfect. Mixing Mediterranean (Spanish) meat and giving it a Japanese twist results in a perfect combination. Also, we were attended by a Spanish lady from Palencia, that made the whole experience personalised and fun.
Will definitely come back many times.
Fantastic food and staff. Manager went above and beyond to allow us longer time at our table when she realised we had a reunion going on. Food is always top level.
Only downside is noise levels as most people want to talk but are competing against music system, so can be a bit difficult to hear when busy.
Food was incredible but service not great. Restaurant half empty at 4.30 but hassled to leave after our allotted time. Would've had a coffee but they don't do any!!!
After hearing Ed Gamble and James Acaster talk enthusiastically about Shack-Fuyu on their "Off Menu" podcast, it's been on my list.
I can honestly say that their Iberico Pork Pluma is one of the best things I've ever tasted - so soft and tender. Really mouth-watering. I fell into complete silence because I was so impressed by it. Their signature Kinako French toast (see photo) is also very tasty, and a great way to end the meal.
I will say that I was not a fan of their Burnt Cauliflower side dish. I thought it was quite bland. This could be a question of taste though.
It's a lively restaurant, so not a great place if you want a quiet, intimate night out. However, if you're looking for an energetic atmosphere, then I would recommend it. There was lots of laughter and clinking of glasses.
Stuffily told we would have to leave our table at a certain time, ok the London way, but communicated ungraciously on arrival.
The problem being we had not received are food until after that time.
Went for the set menu which was badly signposted so didn't know which dish was which and sometimes you got 1,2 or 3 dishes of each dish (we were a party of 3) - weird.
Food was okish, experience was poor, loads of good alternatives which will service you both better food and experience.
