This was our second visit to Sfoglina, and it was as impressive as our first one! Food was delicious and the service was impeccable. The fact that the staff recognized my birthday was well received. We will be back!

Wonderful buffalo mozzarella and heirloom tomato appetizer. All of our pastas were amazing—especially the mushroom gnocchi. Service was attentive. All in all, a great meal.

The food is expensive but portions are filling, and the pasta is unbelievably delicious. The service was a bit too snappy; they were taking away plates that we weren't done with yet - which is always very annoying - especially when the restaurant isn't that busy.

We had been looking forward to Sfoglina and we loved it. Would have given it 5 stars except for a couple of minor issues. Parking is inconvenient. No street spots anywhere. Garage under (which they advertise as convenient and comped for 2 hours w/validated ticket) only has about a dozen available spots and all for compact cars only. We clocked in at 6:03 pm. Parked our KIA SUV in a compact car spot. Left restaurant w/validated ticket at 7:55pm and put it in machine at 7:59pm. Machine would not let us leave garage without paying $5.00. Not restaurant's fault, but they should choose their friends and partners more carefully.
No longer had the Octopus I had dreamed about as a small plate, only an entrée. But they did it as small plate after I asked. Not sure why it was no longer a regular menu item. It was wonderful as was everything else we ordered. Portions were fine.
Young Waiter seemed to have his mind elsewhere all night. Very pleasant & accommodating. We had to ask for bread after we saw other tables receive it promptly after seating. It eventually came with the small plates. Saw him offer Olive Oil to others. He did not offer it to us. I got it from a passing Waitress. Our guy had disappeared. He seemed preoccupied when he was around.
Our reservation was for two at 6pm. The day before we learned that Son and Wife would not be going out of town as planned and wanted to join us. We thought that was great as we'd be able to order and split some of the Family size plates as well as small plates. I finally got through to them next morning. They would not change except for a 2 & 1/2 hour later slot. We could not do that. We would have understood better had several other tables for four and two tables for two on each side of us not remained vacant for almost the entire time we were there. Maybe they have to allow for outdoor seating to move in but it rained heavy & no one was outside anyway.
We will still return without question and will be looking forward to it.

We ordered the prefix Sunday dinner. It was a good value, pasta was delicious, the main course (leg if lamb) was cooked perfectly and seasoned nicely (I just don’t love lamb). The patio looked nice and the weather was beautiful so we opted to eat outside, unfortunatley, the road noise was really loud. Overall, we enjoyed our meal, but wish we would have eaten inside and only one of us ordered the prefix.

Charming restaurant with delicious homemade pasta, great wine list. It’s authentic Italian: appetizers and small plates, pasta, some meat & fish, some vegetable choices like Polenta with mushrooms, grilled provolone and Mozarella appetizers, lamb ragu with delicious Pasta. They have different items for the seasons: stuffed squash blossoms with ricotta, for example. Service is great: accommodating, kind, but not overly so. The Gnocchi is soft and light as it should be. Portions are good, but not overwhelming. It’s hard to tell because people don’t want to leave a drop behind. Patio cafe seating outside looks nice, inside it’s comfortable and pleasant, decorated beautifully.

The decor is interesting and the food was great at a recent lunch with my daughter. But I can't give it a wonderful review because I didn't love the service and felt like it was pretty pricey for what you get for lunch. For two people who didn't order any alcohol or anything crazy/unique (my daughter had salad and spaghetti with tomato sauce, and I had the lunch special tuna), our bill was almost $100 with the tip. That seems like a lot for a non-alcohol mostly non-meat lunch! Also, the service was reasonably efficient but our main waiter was a bit snooty - not warm and friendly, more like we were bothering him with our questions about the ingredients in some dishes. So - the food was very tasty but I don't think I'd go back soon.....

It was a shooter from 19 outside on the patio three of us had pasta that was quite bland but the fourth person had lobster pasta that was off the charts. The gazpacho was mediocre but one of our group has buffalo mozzarella with tomato that was amazing . dessert of peaches was not exceptional but two people had the peach soft serve sorbet which was terrific

Hello. We really enjoyed each dish. Wonderful flavors. Wine variety is commendable as well. Hostess and server seemed stiff and unavailable. We even saw some facial expressions of irritation when other guests requested to move from a table in the hot sun to a shaded table. Our server uttered the specials so fast that we had to ask her to repeat herself, or just settled for not registering what she said. As our group shared some dishes, I would've appreciated more attentiveness from our server to remove dishes that were empty. I attempted to get her attention several times while she chatted with her back to us near the door. We sat with our table covered by a series of dishes from separate courses for far too long. A different server, a friendly young man, came by and cleared them for us.
We loved the food but we strongly suggest training situational awareness, attentiveness, diction and eye contact. The service did not measure up to the food or lovely ambience.

We have been to Sfoglina a few times. The biggest issue on Saturday was the service. We had ordered several appetizers for the table of 6. We had drinks to start. The main course came before the appetizers were finished and some drinks were taken before they were finished. When we brought this to the attention of the wait staff he brought a second drink but it was literally a splash instead of an actual drink replacement. The food was fine but for the price I would expect better service and better response to a problem.

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. This was our first time dining there, however, we have dined at Fabio Trabocci's other restaurants and have had very good experiences. The evening was lovely and we sat outside, which was nicely cooled by ceiling fans. The service was very attentive. The food was very good. We had ordered 2 half portions of pasta to eat with our entree, and my husband ordered pasta as his main dish. The pasta came out before the entrees which would have been nice if they were brought with our entrees so my husband could enjoy his while we ate ours. We thought we had communicated that. When we asked about it after they were served, they did not bring the other entrees out. Other than that, we had a very enjoyable meal all around. Being a designer, I very much enjoyed the tableware and felt it was a lovely match to the food presentation. Bravo!
