As always everything was Fabulous! I had the Guacamole (I did miss the table side service with the choice of the degree of heat added). And it wasn’t quite as good as having additional ingredients on the side.
The Shrimp Ceviche was delicious as were the fish tacos. My husband had the steak Chimichurri and my daughter had the Grouper….. both were devoured and they said delicious.
Restaurant is excellent. If they have the Brazilian Moqueca, get it. You won’t be disappointed.
Hadn’t been here since before Covid and have to say that the food and service were superb. Started w the homemade guacamole and moved to the green chili Caesar…fab. One grouper entree that slayed and the ribeye special was equally strong. Our server, Lane, was fun and knowledgeable too. She did a super job.
Sorry we stayed away so long as this is still a local spot that plates excellence.
We arrived at 5:45 pm, Saturday. Two older adults. They placed us in the very back room with two families with kids. The children were not noisy and were well-behaved. So, we didn't mind in that we were more spaced away from the few ither tables as compared with the front windowed room, which became packed soon thereafter. Another younger party of 5-6 were offered a table in this back room and immediately asked to be moved upfront, to which they were.
Service was generally good, with food arriving quickly, though drinks were slow in coming. Oddly, after taking our credit card with the check, they were not returned for signature for ~10-15 minutes! In no other restaurant has that ever taken more than 3-5 minutes. Sometimes it takes awhile for the server to get back to pick up the offered card, but this was very different. I don't like being separated from my card that long. Also, I'm ready to go and just want to tally up and sign my check. I've been giving servers a 20-30% tip since COVID. This tip was at the lower end of that range.
We have dined at Seviche many times. The food is consistently good. We thoroughly enjoyed their "Dinner and a Movie" events. Hopefully those will restart after Covid settles down. There is usually a nice crowd buzz of people enjoying themselves.
Always a fantastic meal from start to finish! Order the Brie for dessert!
Bartender took a long time/we got our food before our drinks
Went there New year Eve and had great food.
Our server and water assistant were wonderful! And food was excellent and prompt.
We wanted a nice quiet NYE dinner and we got exactly what we wanted. 3 of 4 of us had not experienced Seviche and everyone loved the food and service.
Really sad to see a cornerstone of exciting Louisville cuisine fall so far!
Extremely disappointing experience. After a couple watery cocktails, we ordered Ahi ceviche, oysters, kale and green chile salads, lobster, and roasted veg chimichangas. Every single dish that came to our table was offensively underwhelming. The concept, preparation, and execution of every dish was equal to what you'd expect from a restaurant half the price. Our tab ended up close to $200 and we would have been extremely disappointed at $75 or $100.
Tuna ceviche was FINE, but the preparation only masked the quality of the fish. Oysters were too cheesy and tasted more like a spinach pizza than roasted shellfish. Salads were both too big, poorly prepared, and difficult to eat. Raw kale chopped too big to eat without a knife, rough chopped romaine hearts with a couple radish rounds, uninspiring dressing. Had better versions of both salads at Panera or similar. Lobster entree was $50+ and was probably the most disappointing dish of the night. Lobster prep was fine, but the tail was removed and served on top of the empty shell, which took up twice as much space as anything on the plate. Lobster was served with steam broccoli florets that tasted straight from a freezer bag and rice that could've come from a box. Habanero butter was too thick and bland. Roasted vegetable chimichangas were unpalatable at best. Dish was sauteed bland veggies in a what appeared to be a whole wheat wrap. Not a chimichanga. Seasoning was all black peppercorn and was so strong that it burned our tongues. We ate everything that came to the table except the chimichangas, but only because we knew we were paying close to $200 and didn't want to bother asking for the whole thing comped.
Manager and server were fine. They apologized for the chimichangas and offered a dessert but we were certain we didn't want anything else from the kitchen. So many better places to spend your money until this place turns around.
Outstanding food, service, and environment. Best restaurant in Louisville.
Seviche is always wonderful--food, drinks, service are top notch.
Food was incredible and service was great.
Steak and food cold. Steak also not the best cut of meat.
For us, Seviche is a wonderful special occasion restaurant. The food and service are always outstanding. The chef's sublime talent puts together the most delectable dishes, from cocktails to appetizers to dessert. Ambience is very good - we like the back room to get away from the hustle and bustle of the main dining room, but most every table is a good one. It's a little pricey for our budget but we always look forward to being there for that aforementioned special occasion. Seviche is a true Louisville gem.
A wonderful experience..the service was outstanding and the food unique and exquisite! The ahi tuna seviche was amazing.
Great atmosphere, food and service!
The food was amazing.
Especially the potato bisque, the tuna tartare and the scallop entree.
The food was great but our server was pulled between a large party, a 6-top, a 4-top, and my party of 2. Because of this the quality of service lacked to no fault of her own.
Service was great!!
Seviche has long been one our favorite restaurants, but a couple of the dishes were a little disappointing on our last visit. The green chili Caesar salad was rather bland and dry, and the beautiful crab ceviche was plentiful, but it also could have used more zing.
I've been to Seviche before and chose to celebrate my birthday there. The server had my mother as a teacher and he made the experience better. The food was excellent as usual and the atmosphere was quiet and sophisticated.
This is one of our favorite restaurants and one of the reason for a due to their consistency. Everything is always great in the 10 years or so we have been going here, this time I’m said to say it wasn’t.
The service and drinks were great but both our flanks steaks were way undercooked. We sent them back and my Medium was medium well and my husbands Medium Well was well. Usually the best mashed potatoes in The Country but they were different as well. We will be back because we love ceviche’s, the atmosphere and the drinks just not sure if we will order other food off the menu
Excellent!! Every morsel I ate was delicious!! It was so good. Will definitely go back.
We were celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary, and my wife said it was one of the best meals she had ever enjoyed!
Simply the best upscale dining experience week-in/week-out in Louisville. They have mastered the whole dining experience with outstanding cuisine, attentive service and a comfortable, relaxing ambience.
Everything was absolutely delicious. And our waitress was very attentive.
Food was very good & the service was excellent. Ended up dining in a back room. The ambiance was definitely lacking.
My partner and I celebrated our anniversary dinner here and decided to book another restaurant the evening after due to our mediocre experience.
While we were greeted with champagne as a toast, and the food was indeed scrumptious, the lackluster service completely turned us off.
Felt like a waste of time, and I was sorry this was my initial choice. Really expected more.
I requested to be at a window table and NOT to be sat in the back room. We were out in the corner of the back room. Very annoyed!
Hostess made a window table happen per request.
Friendly and attentive service.
All 4 dinners and desserts were Amazing!!!
Even the valet attendant was friendly.
Excellent food. Our table was too near the kitchen entrance and that’s why they didn’t get a five star rating.
Don’t understand the high reviews this place gets. The crab ceviche was the highlight of the meal, but nowhere near the best I’ve had. Rice was poorly cooked and lacked flavor. For a Latin restaurant, that is shocking. Fish (tuna) was adequate, the sauce was flavorful but there wasn’t enough of it. At this price level, this quality is really unacceptable. Am truly flummoxed as to how this establishment maintains such a high rating, you can easily get far more flavorful, well crafted fare at a much lower price point. Save your dollars and time and go elsewhere.
Everything was amazing as always ! Food and service was perfect , thank you so much for a wonderful night out.
We dined on a busy Friday night while visiting Louisville. Neither of us enjoyed our entrees but we might try it again on our next trip as Seviche was highly recommended to us. Service was fine despite how busy the place was.
The oyster and veal liver apps were the best thing on the table. I had the porterhouse pork chop feature. The accompaniments were great but the pork chop was not a quality peace of meat. My wife enjoyed the halibut cooked perfectly but the accompaniments were nothing special. Server was awkward and forgetful. Shout out to the support staff! Food runners and the guys on water are top notch. Will try again.
We enjoyed the Kale and Smoked Bacon salad, empanadas, a bottle of wine and the avocado dessert!
Food is always wonderful. Didn’t realize vegetable with halibut was broccoli which I can’t eat. A little cold in restaurant
