We have just completed an extensive renovation and expansion. New features include updated bar area, cocktail lounge, state of the art restrooms and 60 person private dining room.

Our first meal out together since Covid. A delightful experience. Everything about the evening from appetizer to desert was first-rate. Seviche has consistently been one of Louisville's finest restaurants, and our visit confirms that reputation.

Called two weeks in advance and was told I would be in the main seating area next to the windows and be socially distanced. Upon arrival was given a table near the entrance where everyone had to walk by - no window view. Very disappointed as it has been my first choice when out of town clients and family are in the area. Oops!!!

Pros: the food was fabulous. The brie appetizer was amazing. The scallops were stunning. The habanero rice that came with my halibut was even better than the halibut! The panna catta was okay.
The inexpensive valet parking is an incredible addition, especially for that area on the weekend. Very worth it.

Cons: The staff seems like they were trained to work at one of those every day chain restaurants instead of an upscale establishment. The hostess made a huge deal over me not wanting to sit at a high top. Said something about the restaurant was booked out until 9:45 and they can't just be swapping tables around. She told me next time I make a reservation, to include that on the "special instructions". It was 5:30 and the restaurant was empty. Funny enough, twenty minutes later, a table got sat next to ours and they didn't want that table so the hostess was very happy to suggest that other table over there (cause the restaurant was still empty).
Our server was very lackluster, not bad... just not very helpful, encouraging or mindful. I also don't really blame her because in looking around, a lot of the other servers seemed to be like that also. I really feel like the powers that be didn't train them to be in an upscale restaurant.
But that's just what I saw. Food was excellent, staff was lackluster. For $150 for two people, there's plenty of wonderful restaurants in Louisville that can have excellent food AND great service.

FIRST TIME AT SEVICHE EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE. OYSTERS, TUNA, CRAB AND SHRIMP SEVICHE, CEASAR SALAD, BEETS AND BRIE, TRES LECHES ALL VERY GOOD!
A LITTLE PRICY BUT ENJOYED EVERYTHING. HARD TO FIND RESTAURANTS WHERE
ALL IS GOOD! WILL MAKE SEVICHE A REGULAR STOP GOING FORWARD.

Always a favorite special spot. This time around the fish taco was over done, dry and lean on flavor, which was a big disappointment given its price. Since it was a business dinner I didn’t want to get into it with the staff and just choked it down...a first ever clunker at this usually exceptional spot. The tuna ceviche and the service were fantastic as always, however. The taco won’t stop me from being excited about my next visit!

My favorite go to restaurant in town. I always recommend it to everyone who wants to find their new favorite! I have never had anyone say that they didn’t like my recommendation. Service is A+ and the food is incredible.

The food (and desserts) were so good that my wife and I went here for 2 straight nights. The early spring Gazpacho might be the best I ever had. The salmon and halibut were extraordinary. If we had been in Louisville another night we would have gone again. Our waitstaff, Jenny, the first night, and Chris in 2nd were helpful, cheerful, and attentive.
The Bourbon/Rye selections were worth the trip alone.

We were disappointed in the food for the price. My skirt steak was good but no exceptional flavors on the plate. My wife had the seared tuna fillets and the dish was a total flop especially for $45.

Very nice dining experience! Our waiter, Clayton, was very friendly and professional. I ordered the beet salad and the spicy chicken empanadas. Both were delicious. We were running a little date to our reservation time. After calling the restaurant to let them know this, we were welcomed in (when we arrived a bit late) and we were seated almost immediately. I highly recommend Seviche.

The service was good, our waiter did absolutely fine. The thing that turned us off when we came in was where we sat and how close the two other tables were next to us. We sat very close to the entrance at a table for 2 next two some other tables that were not being overly loud, but we definitely were able to hear everything they were discussing. It seemed like it may have been best to just remove the small table we sat at for two reasons. One, it definitely was not 6 feet between our tables on either side, and beyond Covid, it just felt like we were too close for an expensive dinner to have to hear other people’s conversations. We will be back, and won’t hold this against Seviche because we also understand that it’s hard to find employees at this time and we too work in the service industry. The food was fantastic. Nothing to complain about besides our table.

The service was beyond terrible. My fish was so over cooked. They served the ceviche with nothing to eat it with. Our server basically refused to clear our table once we had finished. It was awful. And they still had dead Christmas greens In a planter by the front door as you walked in. Pretty much tells you how things are going to go from there.

Dined with my daughter for a fairly early Easter dinner (5:45pm) and enjoyed the best fish I’ve had in ages. We had a tuna poke, goat cheese and mushroom empanada, big eye tuna, grouper, and tres leches. Ceviche is one of the few restaurants in Louisville that allows the delicate flavors of the fish to shine - not over sauced or over seasoned - while still providing elegant and flavorful sauces to accompany should you choose to mingle the flavors. If you love fresh fish, this is THE place to go in Louisville.

First, the food was fantastic. Mushroom enchilada was especially delicious. Our server was fantastic as well. What was not fantastic was the front of the house. When the 3 of us showed for our reservation, they acted as if we did not have a reservation and tried to sit us at the bar. (I did not request bar seating, but did ask for the front dining area as we do not prefer their back dining rooms). They also awkwardly asked if we were joining another person already at the bar... nope. I’m not sure what the confusion was, but thankfully their food was great.

Seviche is my favorite restaurant in Louisville and I always try to go there when back in my hometown. Usually get the salmon but had eaten salmon for a few days in a row so wanted to try something else. Got the beet and arugula salad (very good) and then the crab ceviche (delicious). Had a really nice glass of cabernet and it was a great meal.

I adore seviche and Chef Anthony. The food was amazing as always. But my bday dinner was thrown off by the server. Up front, I bought a very expensive bottle of wine. Added a middle the road tip on the bottle... because I knew we’d be tipping much better at the end of the meal. But the server lost interest in us immediately. When I tried to engage him toward the end of the meal about a desert martini... something chocolate he brought me back a lemon drop. Um... a lemon drop is a fine thing to drink at the right times, but after the very expensive bottle of wine, with cherry and very dark chocolate notes, liver as my main course and dark chocolate for dessert, a lemon drop martini was a complete affront to my taste buds. I chalk it up to a child server that has no sense of what his actual job is yet.

We visited Seviche for our anniversary. The service and the food were both excellent. The maitre’d stopped by a couple of times and verified everything was going well. The staff observed COVID-19 protocol, so no concerns there. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will return.
