   BRAVO! for the fleeting return of pre-concert dining! Since the Covid closing of the restaurant, we have skipped many of the concerts due to the earlier concert time and the inconvenience of finding a leisurely dinner elsewhere. Catering has its special challenges; among them, everyone arrives at the same time and needs to leave at the same time, and patrons need to appreciate that. And 5 stars for the string trio!

   Could be no greater compliment than the truth ... extremely well done. The food from the caterer was outstanding and beautifully presented. The wait staff unsurpassed anywhere. Just a little pricey.

   The moment we walked in we were asked to pay our bill for brunch with Santa so we didn’t need to “worry” about it later. I obliged and handed over my form of payment. No receipt, just a “thanks” without even telling me the total. I had to ask to find out how much she charged my card. We were then seated at a table and left high and dry. No one told us if we could proceed to the buffet at our leisure, or if they would bring us drinks or anything. After waiting about 10 minutes, we realized no one was coming. We got up, and went and found an employee if we could just help ourselves. She said sure. There was also a stand for drinks. So after you dished your soup, salad, and food, you had to return to your table and come back for a trip through the drink station. Then repeat several times for all your children. This was a brunch with Santa (who was on crutches and never left his post next to the door the entire time). This entire meal is geared toward kids and it could not have been anymore kid unfriendly.

   We have attended the brunch before the concert for at least 10 years and were expecting the same quality and amount of food as before. Yesterday was a great day with family at the concert, but the food was really bad. There was hardly anything to choose from. The only salad was covered with blue cheese - which many people, including a lot of children do not like. The turkey was really dried out. The ham was ok. The potatoes and carrots were just ok too. The one dessert - yes one option - was called gingerbread cake, but there was no gingerbread flavor at all and the icing tasted like strawberry cream cheese from the container. No iced tea to drink. Two of my grandchildren - who are over 12 years old - barely ate anything. - for $42 each! I know the restaurant had this catered for some reason but we won't be coming back for the brunch again if the same company is doing it. We will continue to attend the wonderful concert, but I feel like I really got ripped off paying over $250 for six of us, and we barely ate anything. A refund would actually be appreciated.

   Roasted carrots needed more flavor. Ham was good, but the turkey was a bit dry - gravy would have helped. Baby potatoes could have had more flavor. Best were the squash soup and the salad. The cake was not very good. Cookies would have helped.

   This was very underwhelming. The selection of food was minimal and very over priced. I expected much more for a Christmas brunch. Santa was nice but the rest was a bust!
