The all-natural, humanely-raised meats are sourced exclusively from Niman Ranch's network of small, independent farmers, with steaks dry aged for a minimum of 28 days. We ordered a spread of many different things and they were all excellent. The service was excellent as well. I will be returning and would recommend it to anyone!

Trying too hard! Over seasoned steak and veggies, very expensive menu not yet to at A+ rating. Sorry, but soggy potato fries are NOT steak frites! Your chef must know better!

We suggest you redesign the banquette bench - not enough seat cushion, back at an awkward pitch: my guest tried to find a comfortable position, but her chin was about 3 inches from
the table top! Hostess quickly moved us to a nearby table.

Waiter and hostess were very helpful.

This was my first experience at lunch. I had a wonderful dinner experience, but lunch was not impressive. The waiter kindly allowed us to order a steak from the dinner menu since there was little that appealed on the lunch menu. There were few people in the restaurant, so while the restaurant itself is beautiful, that reduced the ambiance. The cornmeal fried oysters and the wine were absolutely delicious. The steak and salad were ok, but not commensurate with the price (even given the location). I was taking an employee for a special lunch, and, overall, I was disappointed that I had selected this location. I look forward to seeing you again at dinner, but never at lunch.

The third time was not a charm. It is hard to say that anything really tasted good. The onion soup and salad were ok, but nothing special in this upscale restaurant. The petite steak filet was burnt on on side and was presented as two slices of meat and was certainly not medium rare. The Broccolini was very under cooked and tough. Mary's Chicken did not have much flavor and its presentation was an afterthought. For desert we had the Carrot Cake which tasted good, but the piece that was served was no larger than 1" x 2". How they could charge $11 for that size of a piece of cake is unbelievable. This was our third and last visit to the restaurant.

Couples trip to Carmel should include a meal at Dolores and 7th. The food, service and wine selections were fabulous.

Our dining experience was much longer than expected. And while our server seemed knowledgeable and was pleasant, he also seemed more attentive to his other tables. At a restaurant like this, to have to search for someone to order a second glass of wine to have with your entrée, seems...lacking. However, we will be back because the food was outstanding!
And no one acknowledged our anniversary, which we indicated on the OpenTable reservation.

We were eating light so my husband got the seafood tower and I had the scallops. Passed on the steak even though it is labeled a steak house. The food was AMAZING, our waiter Bradley was great and the whole experience was perfect! Would highly recommend the scallop dish! Cocktails are creative and they have an excellent wine list.

The food and service were absolutely spot on. We had a great experience. Our server was a consummate professional. I worked in white tablecloth rooms for several years and I truly appreciated his level of professionalism and knowledge of the food.

My meal was served lukewarm! I am sure had it been warm it would have been very good. It was the chicken and they offered to warm it but the breast meat was too well done to be rewarmed and still edible. But everything else was very nice. Dishes coming out of the kitchen were very well plated! Will definitely return!

Service was attentive but no overbearing. Waitress gave great suggestions on food and wine. Volume went up as the restaurant filled up but you could easily carry on a conversation. Food was creative, fresh and delicious.

Although the restaurant is beautiful and the food is very good and nicely presented, the service is peculiar and remarkably poor for a fairly high end restaurant. While our server was polite, she also seemed bored and not attentive, given there were only four tables that had customers. When we asked about how a few dishes were prepared, she gave us misinformation and we had to ask for corrections when the food and the drinks were delivered. (The bartender also seemed aggravated when we asked him to correct our drinks.). The service detracted from our experience.

Fantastic service by Randy! We loved everything we got (burger, filet with bernaise, fries, creamed greens). The price was on par with what I expected for a steak house. We will definitely return!

The atmosphere was very pleasant, drinks good, and service excellent. The Spanish octopus appetizer was excellent and I would recommend this to everyone. We had the charred Wedge salad that was flavorful but needed a bit more dressing. Our entrees (salmon & petite filet) were good, not remarkable.

First time there for lunch. The Octopus salad was fabulous as was the steak tartar. Wasn't busy, but the service was excellent. Don't miss the the Parker House Rolls, but stay away from the add-ons, they are seriously over-priced. A roughly 3oz lobster tail the size of my little finger for the tartar cost $22!!! Outrageous. They may wish to think that one through again...?

We'll be back for sure as it is truly well-prepared food that is different from anything else in Carmel. The by-the-glass wine list is all at once reasonable, splurge-worthy, and expansive

Great dinner as usual! Had a girls night out after being at Pebble Beach Food & Wine event. We thoroughly enjoyed our cocktails and onion strings to start! So yummy!!
We all ordered 6 oz filet along with broccoli I, asparagus and puréed potatoes. OMG do good!
Service was spectacular
Can’t wait to go back

We are frequent visitors and usually ferocious advocates of Seventh & Dolores. The food, great wine list, beautiful architecture and interior always makes this a great destination.
However, our last visit was less than spectacular. Apparently about 60% of the restaurant was taken up by some kind of charitable event and the noise level, particularly the music was at a crisis decibel level.
My wife and I could not converse.
I wished that when making the reservation we would have been informed of this event and we would have saved ourselves a less than satisfactory evening.
And, since we are frequent return clients it would have been nice to have been acknowledged and somehow treated in a way to reduce the "pain" part of the experience.
Typically we are very satisfied at Seventh to make sure that your evening does not run into a special event. I know we will.

Friends get together and golf weekend. Place is a modern steak house. The ambiance is Restoration Hardware meets art gallery/90’s bank/ trendy restaurant. Overall it’s a great space but with high ceilings it becomes loud, cocktails were great, service was good, but value and actual product were not aligned. The market price Ribeye was over priced, salmon dish was colorless, lamb rack was not great, ice cream scoop was pathetically small. Scallops were good, fried oysters were excellent, French onion soup was good , red, white and blue salad was great, carrot cake was moist but was weird presentation. Overall I would not return, but I am glad we tried it.

The scallops were zesty and peppery delicious, and accompanying vegetable memorable. My partner’s salmon was also amazing, but he had to have a sandwich at home later. The serving sizes are just too small for the price charged. This restaurant has the potential to be one of the best in Northern California, as the culinary value is outstanding! When the chef desires to put more food on the plate, we shall return. Perhaps a sign can appear in the window or in the local paper stating “Now Serving Larger Portions”.
