Friendly staff helpful and welcoming food was lovely too
Friendly staff and nice to have table service although it was a bit slow at times and we could have drunk twice as much; an app to order drinks would have been better. But the staff did their best on such a busy eve. Will definitely come again.
great night, food and service was excellent, definitely recommend it, will not be disappointed
Food was so fresh and really delicious. We were both really impressed with the starters. The battered prawns were really crisp and fresh and the Halloumi wasn't rubbery or squeaky on the teeth.
Chilli burger had a lovely home cooked taste. Didn't expect so much from pub grub, very pleasantly surprised.
Can't wait to try the Sunday roasts! (Just hope they are on China plates)
Food was lovely but service wasn’t great. Asked if they had rioja and the girl just said I dunno... no offer to find out.
I come to the seven stars quite a lot for sunday dinner. Never had bad service or a bad meal. Yesterday Sunday 3rd may. The food was lovely apart from very waterly gravy. I didnt mention it, as i had already complained about the wait. but service was poor. Took an hour to be given a menu, i had to ask. We were there 2 hrs before we go a meal. People who came after us. Had the meals we all still waiting. I had to ask , to put an order in and i had to complain about the wait. I am not the type to complain, but i was not happy yesterday. I will be returning as i honestly think, this is a one off and i do enjoy here and the staff are normally, very quick and helpful.
Great pub is lovley in the garden when warm good entertainment
This pub has made a real effort to make dining outdoors as comfortable as possible including heating for those chilly nights. The food is great but sadly served on disposable plates at present. I dont think children should be in pubs at all let alone in the evening. I go to pubs to be social with other adults not kids. If children must be dragged along by their inconsiderate parents at least have the decency to keep them in the children's area. They're very limited in dark beers and it could be a little cheaper.
Lovely staff, particularly the waitress! Just glad to be back in pleasant pubs with great people. Very decent lunch.
Nice beer garden, service was great, food was lovely
Great food although too late for steak ( sold out )
Food was lovely and we couldn't have asked for a better seat, right next to the river. Only problem was being out the way we were overlooked on being served. However once served our drinks and food came quickly
A pleasant afternoon in the spring sunshine. Very nice
Pints were banging
This was our first visit to the Seven Stars as we were meeting with family at a central point. The staff were welcoming and friendly and very attentive. We really enjoyed the food and had a lovely lunchtime!
Service was a bit slow
Food was fantastic as always, booked to come again, on the 2nd May
Unbelievable poor service waited ages for food service which was cold and waited for ever to be served. Allocated a 2.5 hour slot but was there for nearly 5 due to the appalling service and very much doubt we will be going back
Miserable Sunday Roast with old-tasting potatoes, overcooked meat and (tasted like) frozen Yorkshire puddings.
Outside area set up really well and worked well too.
Very poor service not very busy but still had to wait ages to be served and several times we had to get someone to come and serve
Dined outside, food was good, would go again. There is a car park next to the pub which is handy.
Excellent food, attentive service, great place. They've done a really good job of dealing with the current C19 restrictions too.
Good food and good service
Perfect afternoon lunch Fantastic food and great staff
The staff at the Seven Stars never cease to amaze, their customer service skills are second to none. Warm and friendly, constantly smiling, nothing is ever too much trouble for them. I had a fantastic afternoon in the garden, drinking, chatting and laughing. Top, top day, thank you.
this was lovely for a quite sunday dinner the meat was delicious we very much enjoyed coming here.
Sunday lunch excellent as ever .... always wish we had room for a starter and sweet! Staff friendly and welcoming. Doing really well with all the current safety measures and restrictions.
Repeat customer, I’d highly recommend this venue for their food and service.
Thoroughly enjoyed a roast dinner here, would highly recommend. Good service, friendly staff.
First visit for Sunday lunch after recommendation and not disappointed. Meat cooked perfected LG. Will be back!
Amazing food as always but service was extremely slow. We ended up being there for 2 hours and ended up cancelling our dessert as just took so long. At least a 20minute wait just for ice cream. Constantly having to ask for cutlery, order more drinks. Not the usual service we’re used to.
Was a lovely meal ... steak cooked as required prompt service with a smile ..will visit again .
Very impressed with the garden lay out for social distancing. Good service, nice food and generally nice and good value for money. Would definitely visit again.
It was average pub garden area was ok but no ambiance
Just looks a bit tired
But service was ok
Nice happy little pub with decent food and service. Worth a visit!
Was charged for an extra pint of guiness we didn't have - phoned pub and was told to call again on Thursday for a refund (the next day they are open).
Social distancing of staff taking order, delivering food across our shoulders - pretty much non existent so hope we don't regret the visit!!!!
Food was excellent so such a shame on other two points.
The pubs alright, nice Staff members, landlady always looks miserable!
£5 a pint at the bottom of Sidcup Hill is steep (pardon the pun).
Food was ok Sausage Roll could do with a better look! Tasted good to my 10year old.
Nice to sit by the small river for a cold post lockdown pint.
Fantastic! Looking forward to our next visit. The food is always outstanding.
Fantastic food as always, because they were slightly behind with the food, they gave us olive bread, olives and garlic butter, was marvarlous
