Seven Stars Inn
The Seven Stars Inn is the original Chester County steakhouse. We may be new to OpenTable, but we have been wowing our guests for over 275 years by featuring overly generous portions of the finest beef, veal and seafood served in a gracious white table cloth atmosphere. Legend has it that the Inn even served President George Washington himself in this very same historic building set in scenic Chester County.
The cocktail lounge is warm and inviting, and the well thought out wine list includes a broad spectrum of varietals and geographic origins.
Family friendly, the Seven Stars has not only a great Children’s Menu but also a Young Adult’s Menu. Both of these menus scale down the size of the serving and price of their offerings to help mom and dad afford an evening out with the whole family.
All major credit cards are welcomed.
Was an excellent evening w amazing food and service.
Good place, good food. Found paper in my mashed potatoes. They did not do anything about it.
We had a really nice evening for a birthday party!
Free parking and easy access to the restaurant are pluses. The staff was very pleasant and attentive. The raspberry vinaigrette did not seem fresh. It was not sweet as we’ve enjoyed in the past.
The “signature” prime rib was good, but also very expensive and the price was 15% more than what is listed on Seven Stars website.
Portions are very generous and you can expect to have goodies to take home.
You get more than enough food to keep you satisfied!!! Plus the food is amazing!
Always amazing meal and great service!
Very slow service (although it was)...duck was dry. Was over an hour after our reservation that we finally received a menu. Had to request the wine and drink list (there seemed to be one in the whole place). Still love the place, the history, and the atmosphere.
Best meal I have had in years. Huge proportions. A little pricey, but you will not go home hungry.
Large and great tasting dinners, come hungry!
Excellent quality seafood but very pricey. Large portions so you get another meal to go.
Food taste presentation, quality, and taste was out of this world. Worth every penny and more. Our go to special occasion restaurant. Love it!!!
Never been to Seven Stars inn. My mom went years ago for her wedding anniversary. My father-in-law chose to go for his birthday this year. The food was excellent and the portions were huge. My father-in-law’s lobster was so large that the meat could be used as a pillow and my mother’s filet was melt in your mouth tasty goodness. I myself had the king crab leg appetizer and it was excellent, the portion could’ve been dinner sized. All in all a wonderful birthday was celebrated with an attentive staff and rich ambience. We will definitely be back there again, whenever this pandemic ends. Thanks everyone for making the evening so special!
We went for my younger son’s birthday and this place did not disappoint! Service was on point and the food was outstanding!
the place is in desperate need of updating.
Food was very good as was the wait staff
Order the queen cut filet. It was cooked correctly but lacked much flavor. Definitely needed some type of sauce, we should of ordered the bernaise but for an entree of over $50 the bernaise should not be almost 3.00 extra...it came with about 6 pieces of onion rings...would rather have been a vegetable....the cheddar cheese crackers were a nice touch but was disappointed they did not serve a more savory cracker...not a Keebler saltine...felt a more upscale restaurant should of done better...we were disappointed overall...both my husband and I felt that we probably will not be back....just felt that even though we have thought of Seven Stars Inn as a very special place...we felt it is tired out and needs some improvement to bring it back to its former glory.
Our food was excellent and the service was also.
Had dinner there Saturday night Nov 21st, my wife's steak was excellent, my Veal Parm was ok ! Our waiter was very good, very gracious and helpful. Not a weekly restaurant very expensive the bill came to $ 135.00 with the tip. Nice place for an occasion.
The service was excellent. The appetizers and soups were excellent. The main course was fair. The NY strip steak was very tough, difficult to cut and very chewy. The desserts and coffee was very good. Overall the cost of the dinner vs. the value of the dinner was not good.
The service, atmosphere, and food were absolutely perfect!
Great dinner; waitress not so knowledgeable as she should’ve been , though, and forgot to bring things. I think the restaurant was a little too crowded for the current pandemic conditions.
The service was awesome, and timing of each course was perfect. Nice atmosphere and the good was outstanding!
We were promptly escorted to our table and the server was prompt in taking our drink orders. Then we were given sufficient time to enjoy our drinks. The food was absolutley delicious and the prime rib, which I had was, as usual, large tender and tasty. My partner had Veal Oscar, which also was very good.
Another perfect evening everything was A+ First Class
Food and service was good and very generous portion sizes
Food and services was very good. My wife and I will definitely return for our wedding anniversary.
This was are 48th Wedding Anniversary and we went to Seven Stars on our First. We were please to celebrate in this specual plqce.
The service was amazing. One of the best meals of my life will definitely be back.
crackers stale, miss communication between waitress,s salad selection reduced will return in future
The food was excellent and the service spectacular
The food was hot and delicious and the deserts are outstanding!
My husband and I always enjoy coming to Seven Stars. The food, service and atmosphere is always great. This visit there was a dinner party so things were a little louder than normal, but it did not bother us.
The place was charming as always. We've been patrons for over thirty years. The food was excellent, but our waitress was a total disaster!
We asked for the wine list three times. One would think that a waitress could figure out how a bottle of wine would affect her tip, right?
My wife ordered her salad with the dressing on the side. It wasn't delivered that way. We ordered sautéed spinach and Bernaise sauce with dinner, neither of which arrived.
I ordered expresso with my desert, expecting to get them at the same time. Desert was over before the espresso arrived. Seriously, how long does it take to make an expresso.
Our receipt says server was Seber YVONNE. I think Yvonne might have been the young woman who saved the experience. She was the one who fixed everything that the waitress did wrong, including bringing the wine list and the missing dinner items.
Food was excellent. We were in a small room which was nice until a noisy party was seated in the room. Thankfully we were just about finished dinner.
Excellent dinner, massive portions, massive bill.
My sister and I went out for dinner for the first time in a long time and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The good was delicious and the service was great. Can’t wait to go back!!
We have a "girls night" at The Seven Stars Inn annually and absolutely love the food! This year's experience as far as service was great and as always the food was amazing!! If there was anything to improve on I would say the arrival is not very welcoming each year...we feel "off put" but deal with that attitude because the food is so worth it.
The virus obviously took it’s toll on service due to reduced number of employees and small cutbacks to save money
The food still outstanding
The food and portions are wonderful. It is pricey, but for a special occasion it’s perfect.
