and enjoy and embrace who we are. Williamsburg has been known as a neighborhood where one can express their passion and artistic freedom. Toby Moskovits, the owner of The Williamsburg Hotel, has been a front-runner in that development and has found a kindred spirit in the entrepreneurial Chef Melissa. Bringing her to the table exemplifies what can happen when two like-minded women come together and create a restaurant that is all about bonding over food and dreams.
Lovely restaurant in a lovely hotel. They were very willing to accommodate our vegan requirements. The food was delicious and very enjoyable. Staff was lovely. Ambiance was nice. Location inside of The Williamsburg Hotel is ideal and super comfortable. I would’ve loved a higher quality garbanzo bean that would’ve matched the quality of the rest of the meal. Nice wine selections. This is a very nice restaurant.
Amazing food and flavors. It was my moms birthday and they treated her to a piece of delicious cheesecake too!!! Amazing experience overall :)
Loved it! The server was so kind to us! We had a lovely tea.
Loved the ambiance of the restaurant and had EXCELLENT service. I forget the name of our waitress, but she was a petite blonde woman. The portion sizes are small for the price in my opinion, but the ambiance and service of the restaurant compensate for it
The decor was amazing! Both the service and food were outstanding. We went for breakfast. I highly recommend the Mediterranean breakfast.
Nothing special. Food is meh. Ambiance is nice. Not worth coming back. Menu super limited
Ambience was great. Starters were amazing, entrees were just okay; not enough seasoning.
It was great. We were late and still accommodated with our seating request. The hostess was so patient and understanding! As was our server the gentleman was great help and spoke Spanish as well which was a huge plus for my mom. Place was a still cool den in the willy b underground (literally)
Nice Sunday afternoon
Came to celebrate an anniversary. First reservation was booked incorrectly by the restaurant and confirmed as well by then and only corrected after I called to confirm again on day off. So had to reschedule for high tea and jazz band the next day. Then arrived and seated incorrectly even after discussing with manager day before for celebration would like to sit plain view of jazz band. So even after addressing that matter they cramped 8 of us into a booth. Even though the restaurant was nearly empty with a large booth behind us empty the WHOLE TIME WE WERE THERE. It was so cramped we had to ask for a chair to pull up to the chair and the food barely fit onto the table. Food was good. Service was poor. Sat down and served food. Never got utensils or napkins until we asked for them. Just a total odd trip even with restaurant half empty. Being polite two stars. Food and jazz was pretty good.
Absolutely incredible experience! Not one bad thing to say. Food was INCREDIBLE, dessert was the best I’ve ever had. Service was extremely attentive and kind. Genti was a great waiter, so over the top thoughtful to elevate our experience. Cannot wait to go back! Decor was impressive!
Food was just above average but atmosphere and service was great !! I would not go there if you want outstanding food but if you are looking for somewhere to eat with nice atmosphere and a bar it’s great.
So many great things to say. The Williamsburg Hotel is adorable. Very modern decor. Staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. I went on Saturday for afternoon tea with friends. $30 for 3 tiers of sweet and savory bites and bottomless tea in beautiful tea sets. There was a live jazz band that just added to the already amazing atmosphere. Would definitely go again.
Bad experience. Terrible service, cold food. Couldn't even get a glass of wine because our waiter completely disappeared.
We went for afternoon tea. We had a reservation and arrived on time but still needed to wait about 15 minutes for a table to be cleaned. We were seated and waited another 15 min before we were greeted and served water. We ordered the tea for two and added the champagne. The tea sandwiches and cookies were brought out, but not our tea. We waited for another 10 minutes with the tea food before the tea was served. I’d have preferred that they were served at the same time, or that the tea came first. The food was okay - nothing special. It was a small amount for the price. No one came back to check on us for a while, we had empty water and champagne glasses. We did flag down the server to ask for the check, and at that point, they tried to get us to order more champagne- I didn’t want to at that point, but might have if it was offered when my tea was served. There was also a family seated next to us with a young kid who was watching tv on a cellphone with the volume very high while his parents had tea around him. This isn’t the restaurants fault, but it was overall an unpleasant experience.
Tea service was mediocre at best. The tea itself was of good quality, but the finger sandwiches, 2 mini scones, and petit fours seemed to come from a freezer at the grocery store. Nothing remarkable whatsoever. Service was incredibly poor and slow.
The restaurant was beautiful, decorated impeccably. We were seated on time and greeted. It took around 45 minutes for staff to take our order, they brought us the wrong food thinking we’d already ordered. The food was brought out around 40 minutes later. Tea and food was decent, but when they brought the bill we had been charged for items we didn’t order. When the six of us confronted staff about this, the feedback was “this is what we brought you even if you didn’t order it” which wasn’t acceptable.
Nice place, but service was lacking and portions were small and not really that good. My husband chicken shawarma looked like a piece of boiled chicken with some pickled vegetables and sauces on the side and the brussel sprouts in my brussel sprout salad were very hard. Also, having to chase down the waitress really ruined it for us.
We came for the “High Tea” experience, including cocktails served just like tea and were positively surprised by the live band (on an early Sunday afternoon) adding to the whole in style atmosphere. Unfortunately the videos you see online (showcasing High Tea at The Williamsburg Hotel) don’t really hold true to the build up expectations. While our food tiers (savory and sweet bites) and tea were delicious our cocktails of choice weren’t served in a tea pot. Apparently not all cocktails will be served out of a tea pot in a cup, only 2 of 4. So only one of us got half of the experience simply having her cocktail in a tea cup. Overall it was a fun and delicious afternoon, yet disappointing for that part.
Good: ambience, food
Mediocre: service, friendliness - enough to consider not coming back
As previously stated, I went back to have brunch. The overall experience was great; however, the hostess was not friendly and off-putting. Our waiter, Gentei was great, and it was good to see out previous waiters, Juan and Marcus, who stopped over to our table to say hello.
Overall great experience, but don’t indulge the hostess.
It was very cozy! We have a good table and enjoy our food. It was tasty.
But the music of the neighbor was to loud for us.
Came to have a relaxing afternoon with a friend to catch up. Great ambience. Wonderful tea selections. And amazing service. Looking forward to coming back for high tea on a Saturday or Sunday. Great experience.
Lovely space with little traffic during opening @12P on a SAT. Seating and service was quick, tea service was good, and noise levels were low. They did not allow substitutions when I requested to swap out an item I disliked (NOT allergy), but the tea tier had plenty of variety to be filling. The tea selection was good and came in adorable sets from T2. I recommend a visit for the quality, price, and ambiance if you’re in the area.
Might have just been that I was there solo and it wasn’t bursting with activity - but didn’t walk away super impressed. Good food, all well cooked. Cocktail was exceptionally strong and not balanced well. Service was not on point.
Good if you are staying at the hotel but wouldn’t travel to eat at Seven Seeds.
I was a little disappointed as when I made the reservation I had selected high tea as it was for my Mum's birthday but when I arrived we were told that afternoon tea was only on Friday-Sunday. I feel that when I made the reservation that restaurant should have contacted me to tell me that afternoon tea wouldn't be available on the date I had selection as this would have impacted our plans.
The place is very nice and the food and drink was good but it wasn't what we had a planned or expected so that impacted our experience.
This tea used to be much better. The portions are tiny now and the service was terrible. They forgot one of our teas, left out multiple items on the tray, and did not walk us through the tray. Later in the meal they became extremely attentive but overall this has gone way down from the Harvey one year ago.
Had a business dinner at the seven seeds restaurant on 1st October. I ordered the vegetarian Garden burger but was in fact served a meat burger and when I calmly returned the burger explaining that I have been served a meat burger instead of a vegetarian burger, the server was unapologetic and unconcerned with the error. She simply said she would get me another one. At the end of the meal, we were charged for my meal and when my colleague questioned the charge, the server simply said ‘well she got the right burger in the end didn’t she’? As a 30 year veteran vegetarian due to ethical reasons, being served a meat burger is very significant. Fortunately I didn’t eat any of it as I suspected it was meat and a colleague of mine had to taste it to confirm. Serving a meat burger to a vegetarian is one thing but being unapologetic when the error was pointed out something else… the rest of the groups food was ok but due to this incident, I doubt we will be returning any time soon.
the previous menu was much better................................:
Would go back again for sure!! Everything was fantastic!
The food and atmosphere were great. Our server Zach was awesome- very kind and helpful!
Live jazz in a fun atmosphere. They also serve high tea!
Although this is in a hotel the place is very pleasantly decorated and the food and service are excellent. The Mediterranean food is inventive and very tasty with lots of za'tar and spices. The dishes are easy to share.
The food was superb! Vegetarian and pescatarian friendly. Great wine list and nice craft cocktails.
Very upscale ambiance. Open and airy. Perfect place for business or your special moments.
I loved brunch here. Our server was very helpful and fun to talk to. Great service!
Loved the service. Great spot for an intimate birthday dinner.
Excellent food and great spot to meetup. We enjoyed this place and will be going back soon.
Lunch menu was not made public online and bears no resemblance of the Mediterranean dinner menu that was advertised.
