I brought my team to lunch and despite several team members arriving late, they easily accommodated us. They also had no issues bringing our food quickly as several of us had to leave for meetings at 1.

Great food, friendly service and nice atmosphere.

Early dinner before CSO concert. Our waiter was great, knew the menu well and checked in with us often. We both had the pre-concert special menu, $36 for 3 courses, plus $16 for the 3 wine flight. Great value for the meal. The seasonal salad was huge. We chose steak and frites and bucatini for our mains, both were good. The 2 desserts were also good (chocolate cake and cheese plate). Our 5:45 reservation was just about perfect to enjoy dinner and still walk across the street to the concert and not be rushed.

The drinks were inventive and delicious. Service was balanced with just the right amount of attention given us. I had the pork chop entree which was both ample and flavorful. My dining companion ordered the sliced steak which was not ample; surprised at how skimpy the serving was.

Also mentioned twice about celebrating a birthday, once through Open Table and again on the phone when the restaurant called to confirm the reservation. They did nothing to commemorate the event.

We went to Seven Lions before a show at Chicago Theatre. We ordered off their Pre-Theatre menu with wine pairing and enjoyed everything we had. We’d definitely recommend checking out Seven Lions for a nice dinner before a show.

We came here before the theatre. Seating was prompt and service very efficient We had children in our group and the menu worked well for them. Food was adequate but nothing special. It is a close to the theatre and works very well for a pre-theatre experience

We have never been disappointed here. The place is perfect before, after or during a family visit to the Art Institute. Seven Lions has a fantastic 'little lions' menu. The grilled fish with mashed potatoes and veggies is only $9 : a yummie & healthy option for kids!

More good news, for people with gluten allergy/intolerance this time: there's an entire gluten free menu (see cheese burger picture).

Our all time favorite is the lobster roll. To die for!

This was our first time here. There was a prefix menu as it was Thanksgiving. My husband had the traditional Thanksgiving dinner and my daughter and I had the salmon. All of it was amazing. Will definitely come back and try their regular menu.

Nice atmosphere. Location heart of downtown across from Art Institute. Great pre show spot for dinner which is why we went. Food was good not great. Had the butternut squash soup and calamari to start. Calamari very good. Soup good. Had the salmon for main course. Cooked very well. Brussel sprouts and cauliflower accompaniment good. Not very flavorful; salmon however was. Sons had lobster roll and burger and enjoyed. Husband’s flank steak was ok. Apple cobbler apples were tasty and fresh; rest of dish ok. Service was good. Menu is small. Dishes didn’t wow but decent meal. Prices ok. Nice evening; nothing spurred a desire to return.

My family and I are lunch here following my attorney swearing-in ceremony. We were seated in a nice booth, the runners and waitress were attentive, and the lunchtime food selections were satisfactory. The sparkling rose was delicious and a great value. The ahi tuna niciose was filling and satisfying. We all split the carrot cake for the table. The carrot cake was fine, but the frosting-to-cake ratio was noticeably unbalanced. Our server was friendly, clever, and put up with my father’s eccentric behavior. Unfortunately, I had to ask four times for a cup of coffee. That slight blemish cannot besmirch good service and an otherwise nice lunch on a memorable day. I recommend Seven Lions for lunch.

We went early (5:30) before a show at CIBC Theater. It was quiet at that point so I can't say about sound leave. Our waitress was excellent, happy, gave us good information on different food questions. The Hamilton cocktail is excellent! Everyone in our party enjoyed their food from fish, chicken and burger. The Flourless chocolate cake was to die for. If you like less sweet the apple crisp is good, I like more cinnamon. It seems like it is a very fun place as the evening goes on. You won't go wrong with this place.

The food was good but two in my party had requested different levels of doneness in their steaks. The server did not make an effort to make sure the steaks were given out correctly. The same thing happened with coffee -server did not seem to understand that one was decaf and just placed them on the table. A little darker than I like a restaurant to be and my wife had to use her cellphone light to read the menu.

Seven Lions is a fun and delicious place for brunch, lunch or dinner. Even though the dining room is fairly large, I've never felt less than cozy when eating there and the views of the Art Institute and Michigan Avenue are great! Their yogurt parfait at breakfast is like a very decadent dessert and their smoked salmon avocado toast is great (although I asked for no bread and it came with bread anyway! Not sure if that was the kitchen's fault or our waiter's, but that's the ONLY complaint I had about a recent meal there).
