Welcome to Seven Hills. We are a rustic neighborhood bistro offering great Italian food, located in the Russian Hill Neighborhood of San Francisco. We serve great fresh affordable food. Our emphasis is on homemade pastas. Our wine list is small but extremely well thought out and complements our cooking style. We look forward to taking care of you and your guests. I absolutely love this place! This is my go-to place to take friends who are visiting San Francisco and looking for a great dining experience. Food is amazing, service is impeccable and the atmosphere is cozy and romantic. It's everything you would expect out of a fine dining experience, minus the pretentiousness. The owner, Alex, is super involved and attentive and makes sure all his customers are happy, and full. Highly recommend!

The wife and I came here for an early Valentine's Day. Everything was delicious. We relied on our server for recommendations and he did not disappoint. The standouts were the brussel sprouts and the maccheroncelli. We also had a couple of specials which aren't on the menu. I'd definitely go back.

Amazing Service and wonderful food. The wine was lovely, too! The meatball appetizer was really good and the deserts were super good. The date cake (I think a special) is something my wife is still talking about.

Great small neighborhood restaurant that is Farm to Plate concept. The service was excellent, as we asked for suggestions and received great feedback. The small nature of the seating means everyone is close together, although we didn't feel cramped. The meatball appetizer is a must, however outside of that item, the menu varies based on what is fresh, so be prepared for something different every time.

Not as good as it used to be! The got rid of their signature dish-the raviolo uno, and the quality of pastas and sides have gone down. Service was also so/so.

Food was very good, worth the 90 min drive. The salad, meatballs, pastas and panna cotta.The service was very good, I would recommend Seven Hills, It's not cheap but worth the price. Will definitely come back

We finally tried this neighborhood gem and generally had a pleasant experience. We were seated promptly and quickly attended to. The chicory salad was delicious and the tomato braised polpette were, as advertised, to die for! We focused on pasts for our main courses, and both the water buffalo casoncelli and the mushroom tortelli were delicious. For dessert the panna cotta was tasty though the biscotti was a bit stale.
Our main complaint was with the table service, which was pleasant and attentive but overly hasty and somewhat pushy. We recognize the need for the restaurant to turn the tables for the later diners and would not have lingered over 90 minutes. But the waitress and table staff discussed options fast and abruptly and picked up dishes as fast as they could to move on to the next course. We felt our table was constantly being monitored for progress and this made it difficult to relax and enjoy the meal.
We will likely return for the delicious cuisine and hope for less pushy service.
