Our waiter Tony was great! Personable and remembers us from over a year ago since our last dine in visit. We love coming back to Seven Hills as it’s one of our favorite restaurants in SF! Can’t wait to go back.
Outstanding Italian food in a cozy neighborhood setting.
Great restaurant, great food, and friendly staff. We love the menu
The reason why I decided to dine here for dinner was because of a picture of a particular plate (the short ribs pasta) which I saw online. To my disappointment, the plate looked completely different in person and the quantity was so little that it should be considered a mere appetizer honestly. The attention was good, though not exceptional. The quality of the plate was definitely outstanding though. So on the overall value aspect of the restaurant, it wasn’t worth it.
Food & service are really good. But $30 for pasta dish seems too high to us. Despite the cost, it is a very pleasant dining experience in a casual, neighborhood setting.
I’ve been coming here since 2018 and the service is always the same AMAZING!
Lovely and delicious in every way! We can't wait to be able to go back. Thank you!!
Amazing restaurant! Can't say enough great things - even very accommodating to a vegetarian in our party :) Wine was incredible as well.
Flew to SF just to have dinner there and flew back the next day. Worth every penny.
Salad was really good (2nd on the menu), bolognese pasta and the crab pasta special were great and the Malbec wine was really amazing. Best part was our waiter, his section was the bar tables I think but he was popping over to our table and really added to our wonderful experience, also recommended we get the Malbec. Can’t wait to come back!
Great dinner, great service and an overall wonderful evening!
Great meal and service.
Excellent birthday dinner.
I miss the old location- the new space is less intimate and romantic- not sure if its my imagination- food was not as exquisite as before- Im dissapointed.
I loved the meal. I said that I wanted a little more private table because it was my girlfriends birthday and the waitress picked a perfect table and brought out a dessert for us. I would recommend this to anybody!
My girlfriend and I went to the old Seven Hills location and it quickly became our favorite restaurant in San Francisco. We had a special occasion to celebrate this week and decided to visit the new location hoping it would still be as amazing.
It was even better this time around.
The ambiance of the new location is perfect and really sets the mood for the food experience. It is roomier than the old location but it still somehow retains the coziness and romantic ambiance.
The service was impeccable throughout the entire night. Just really attentive and kind from start to finish, which is something that some restaurants sometimes lose when they grow from a smaller location to a larger one. It was really refreshing that Seven Hills still puts so much effort into making sure the service is of a high caliber.
All that being said, the best thing about this place has always been the food, and the same is still true to this day. We ordered the Duck Liver Pate, Maccheroncelli, Tagliatelle and a special black truffle pasta they had that night.
All 4 dishes were prepared to perfection. The Duck Live Pate is probably the best we've had ever, anywhere.
The black truffle pasta was also precisely the type of truffle pasta all restaurants need to serve. It contained enough truffles to provide the necessary flavor but not so much that they have to charge you an arm and a leg for it. Easily the most affordable and delicious truffle pasta we've had in America. The Maccheroncelli and Tagliatelle were also excellent.
Overall it was a perfect experience from start to finish. It's really rare these days to have a restaurant that hits all the sweet spots (food quality, service, vibe and price) but Seven Hills does it.
Thank you to all involved for such a delicious and special evening.
The tortelli verde was to die for. The zuppa stagionale was okay but too salty. My husband really liked his pasta too. I’d come back just for the pasta — and share three! It’s pricey with wine but so delicious.
Great pastas but expensive! Good size portions though. :)
Fresh house made pasta cooked to perfection. Great Italian food!
Always so good. Food is delicious, wine is great and ambiance is wonderful
shrimp fettucini (squid ink pasta!) was the best I've ever had.
Overrated. Undercooked expensive pasta, which is a huge faux pas. Very nice service and atmosphere but overall not worth the cost.
entree, appetizer, 2 drinks and desert for 90$, all high quality.
Excellent meatballs-the tortoloni with black truffles was exquisite!
Seven Hills is a great place to celebrate and to have a great dinner with great ambiance and service. I would recommend this place to anyone when in the city. When we come to the city we always come to Seven Hills.
Quality of food is high and authentic. located in a very nice area. Atmosphere is very romantic. My husband and I came her for his birthday and everything from the food to service was amazing.
Just amazing. From the time we sat down to the time we left the door we had an incredible experience. Our waiter was attentive and the owner was hands on in the restaurant. 10/10 would recommend to anyone
Outstanding Piedmontese cuisine! And the most helpful waiter I've ever had! Made recommendations and suggestions that totally enhanced the quality of the experience!
This was easily the best meal of our trip. Pleasant and friendly staff with amazing food. Worth every bite.
Low key the best pasta in the city. Just get all the pasta, you won’t be disappointed
Delicious Valentines Dinner, everything was perfect, although the last course was not my favorite, but overall really good!
Excellent service, incredible food, and a fantastic wine selection.
a bit pricey but overall very satisfying. we enjoyed our dinner. several vegetarian options (though not really for vegan). food and wine were both very good. service was impeccable. the dessert options are a bit limited - would have been great if there were something lighter or more fruity after meal, in addition to the dairy-heavy panna cotta, chocolate budino and affogato.
Excellent date with my husband thanks a need come back
Pasta was excellent —our waiter Tony was terrific -
The food at this place is delicious. I don’t know how it is not a Michelin Star restaurant.
We were surprised with the location change and all four of us agreed we liked the old location better. Quite a bit noisier. And for the first time, the service was good but not great, also, the menu seemed a bit more limited than in the past. Maybe just getting used to the new location.
It was a very good experience. Our only comment will be towards the service. For some reason our server was not kind. We mentioned several times that it was the birthday of one of the attendees and he ignored us. Other tables celebrated their birthdays with a small recognition but our server ignored us. My sister felt very sad because his son was ignored.
Superb and highly recommended
Outstanding salads (little gem) and pastas (squid ink with Kauai shrimp). A creative, well-curated wine list. Exemplary service with special kudos to Louis and Alex.
