Seven Hills
Fantastic food - meatballs starter and shrimp pasta main were both exceptional
It was extremely humid in the restaurant, the windows were fogged up and so loud we couldn’t hear eachother from across the table. Food was good but not as special as I’d hoped, based on other reviews. We were so uncomfortable with the humidity and volume it was hard to enjoy the meal.
We went to their new location for our first visit. The food was exquisite and we loved the restaurant ambiance. I would have given the whole experience 5 stars but it was so hot in the dining area that we couldn't enjoy the experience because we were hurrying to leave. There is absolutely no parking either so walk or use a ride share service.
What a great spot! I took my fiance there for her birthday dinner. The food is soooo good! The place is fancy enough to dress up a little too! But the most important thing is how awesome the staff is there! A++ on service. Our glasses of wine and water were never empty. Our server was super helpful and helped us pick our dinner and wine. The kitchen sent out some yummy apple slices with some tasty fancy looking stuff on em and a scoop of ice cream with a candle on it at the end of our meal. A real nice touch. It was also cool that the server had a sense of humor and did a great job at making us feel comfortable. Will definitely be coming back for more of that pasta and that ssssuper tasty steak! Soooo goooood....
I jumped on an opening for Thanksgiving dinner when I saw it. I love this restaurant, and hadn’t been in awhile due to how popular it’s become and how hard it is to get a reservation. The special price fixed menu was wonderful. Not a bad flavor to be had! Surprisingly filling even though their portions are smaller! We ended up taking half our filets home. Highly recommend for a special occasion or any night you can get in.
We had a lovely Thanksgiving dinner here and everything about the meal felt perfect to us. The staff were all welcoming, the food was delicious, the other patrons were very civilized (the word civilized sounds like a strange word to use but it’s true - in some restaurants the people around you can ruin a meal), and the service was excellent. I’ve been coming here since the restaurant opened and have never had a less-than-great experience.
Excellent pasta, best in SF!
Seasonal specials plus an outstanding menu. Top pick for me every time I’m in town.
Appetizer took very long to come to the table to the point the kitchen brought us out something before hand that we had not ordered. Nothing special about the service or the food.
Fantastic restaurant - the look, the feel, the food, the wine are all top-drawer. Highly recommended.
We always dine at Seven Hills whenever we visit San Francisco. Feels like a cozy neighborhood restaurant but the guests are from all over the city and world. You can actually have a conversation even though the restaurant is small and intimate.
The food is always fabulous and service has always been professional and friendly. Our team member was Lewis the other night and all of his recommendations were terrific Lewis even gave us his short list of recommended restaurants.
Another great dining experience and looking forward to our next visit.
Seven Hills is absolutely my favorite restaurant in San Francisco... Love it, love it, love it!
Excellent meal and lovely touches as it was a anniversary meal , highly recommend it to anyone visiting San Francisco , will definitely go back
Absolutely amazing meal! All the ingredients and technique were some of the best I've ever had in the city. Definitely go. You owe it to yourself to see what chef Tony is up to.
Great food! Hard to get a reservation sometimes but the food is worth it!
Food was amazing! We booked our next reservation before we left!
Food was wonderfully orchestrated and presented. Flavors were fantastic with the final course the best.
I never miss a chance to eat at Seven Hills when I visit the City. I look forward to their upcoming additional location.
Fresh pasta was delicious. I had “triangoli”.
It was my Fiancé’s birthday dinner. I’ve heard good things and it definitely lived up to the hype. The meatball appetizer was awesome best meatballs I’ve had in the city (I’m a huge meatball critic) and each pasta dish was perfection. Must try
Great service, friendly staff willing to go the extra mile to make you feel welcomed. Food is always excellent, as is this wine.
Everything was incredible... everything. Best meal in years. The end.
Food, service and wine were superb. Looking forward to returning
Fun, very Italian and good food and wine. Service fast, efficient and authentic.
I was really looking forward to my first dining experience at Seven Hills. The restaurant was very noisy (one table with yelling toddler, another table with three tipsy loud people). My friend and I each ordered an appetizer, a pasta dish as our main entree, a glass of wine and bread (yes, you have to pay for bread by the slice). While the food was very good I can't say it was worth a total bill with tip of $135. The busing staff were nicer and more attentive than the wait staff. I don't think I'll be back.
Perfect find in North Beach / Russian Hill - amazing homemade pasta, the flavors were ALIVE!! Wonderful wine recommendations and the sweetest intro to San Fran.
Pasta (we shared the mushroom and the pork sugo) was perfectly al dente. Sauces weren’t overdone-phenomenal balance with dry Italian reds-good variety of wines by the glass, which we tasted. Panna Cotta dessert with strawberries was sublime. A bit noisy but I love the Osteria neighborhood feel.
A lovely experience overall, from the warm greeting to the informative and professional waiter to the bussers /servers. Many dishes truly of the season. Beautiful presentation and very tasty food. Only downside was that the food was too rich for our palates, but that’s personal. We look forward to returning.
This neighborhood spot is a gem. Wonderful, unfussy Italian fare, done extraordinarily well. Both meat lovers and vegetarians will find plenty that pleases. A good date spot, or place for a quiet family gathering after time away. Staff are relaxed but attentive and know the menu--and the daily additions--well. The wine list is good and not as overpriced as those in San Francisco may expect at upscale restaurants.
Was awesome. Would definitely return. Only disappointment was it was my husbands bday which I noted in my open table special requests but nothing was acknowledged at restaurant and it would have too awkward to pull waiter aside during dinner. :(
Great experience at Seven Hills! We’ll definitely go back.
Superb food and service.
Beautiful- ambience, food, service. Neighborhood restaurant
Perfect, just perfect! The food is absolutely amazing and the service is first class with the touch of sincere hospitality.
Food very good! Manager/server terrific! Steak very good!
Seven Hills is my favorite restaurant in San Francisco, and I’ve been coming here for years. Their food is amazing/delicious (literally everything I’ve ever had on the menu), the service is impeccable - and it’s truly a special experience every single time that I go. Love it!
Really great food, rushed service and experience.
Food was amazing - fresh, light, delicious, and most importantly we recognized all of the local farms from which the menu was sourced. Wine was delicious and well priced.
They seemed to have intentionally overbooked the restaurant and were turning tables too quickly.
For a nice, somewhat pricey meal that is meant to be enjoyed, it was frustrating to feel rushed. Towards the end of the meal we had a few dishes left on the table and we asked to finish them, so the busser left the food but took away our plates and forks. Then the waitress took away the food which we obviously weren’t eating without utensils.
Left feeling very satiated and grateful for the food but a bit disappointed in the overall experience.
What an amazing dinner date. The ambience was perfect, the food and drinks were great, and the service was so friendly. That part of Hyde is magical in the evening.
Excellent food. Especially the truffle pasta
Everything was phenomenal. The bread was top notch, the wine was extremely smooth and paired excellently with the food and the flavors in the pappardelle were amazing. I wouldn't hesitate to return--the quality is worth every penny.
