The pastas were so great as always and the service was awesome! They even helped me create a beautiful birthday surprise for my boyfriend. It’s our second visit. Will definitely come again soon! (Maccheroncelli is our all time favorite)
Phenomenal homemade pasta! Go hungry and share with whoever you’re going with
Wonderful experience. Thanks Tony, and team!
My friend loved it but I was just so-so after my 3 trips to Italy in the last 30 months.
Chicory salad was very tasty. Portion on the pasta I got was very small. Flavors were okay. Service was terrific. Used to be the location of luella, an old favorite of mine that I returned to many times. I probably won't be back here. I'm sure my friend will recommend it but I wouldn't.
New space as they have moved- lots of room and the food was still spectacular. Great service.
Everything was exceptional! Buffalo mozz, meatballs, truffle tortellini, melt in your mouth gnocchi, wine.
Amazing pasta! We ordered two pasta dishes and contemplated ordering a 3rd because they were THAT good. Great date spot with incredible dishes - emphasis on local produce and classic flavors.
i liked the old space better but we spoke to someone and they are trying to figure out a way to make the decor better.
The duck liver pate and the Truffle Pasta were our two favorite dishes. We also had 2 salads and the meatball appetizer All were wonderful.
I love the new space, its very warm and inviting.
The food was so fresh and tasty. Most of the dishes we had were simple which meant they needed to be executed perfectly - and they were. The ingredients used were clearly very fresh and I loved that there were some night of specials. As a vegetarian, I had options, which I always appreciate. The service was attentive and wonderful. Highly recommend.
Great service and delicious food! Pasta was amazing!
We did like the food, but the ambience is not what you would expect from a recently opened new space. There is no warmth to the space. Lighting does not enhance the space. We had not been there before and I am not sure what look the are intending, but they really should rethink the look and design for food that deserves a lot better.
One of our favorite SF restaurants. Food is fresh and creative. Tried the Caprese with kiwi and satsumas, which was surprisingly delicious. Fresh pasta was cooked perfectly, with delicious sauce options. Desserts were perfect.
We have been to Seven Hills restaurant many times in the past usually for a special occasion. This visit was disappointing. The food was extremely rich compared to our previous experiences, the crab pasta was very heavy and did not have the depth of flavor we expected. The wild mushroom soup was very expensive and while the portion was large it was in our opinion not worth the $16 per Bowl. Abraham was an excellent server and we have no complaints about the staff, it just appears that something has changed in the kitchen or we were there on a off night.
Great food. Specially loved the polpette. And the service is very good also.
Best food in San Francisco!! Staff is impeccable!! Great ambiance!!
Service & ambiance was poor. Food was mediocre. Stone’s Throw was 1,000x better.
Our waiter Ian Explained the specials of the day and recommended proper wine pairing with dinner. The Carpaccio and the stripped bass belly were excellent appetizers. Tagliatelle Served fresh pasta is perfect. To top off the evening ribeye steak served with potato pancakes and spinach Parmesan.
Each dish was delicious and the waiter did a great job steering us to his favorites which did not disappoint!!
Lovely new location, with the same unbeatably wonderful food. The squid ink pasta with shrimp was the stand out dish, but everything else was perfect too!
Best meal I have had in San Francisco in a long time. The home made pasta dish stuffed with braised beef was heavenly. They had done a great job on the redesigned space. Service was spot on.
cozy, elevated food, knowledgeable staff, attentive service
Fantastic food - meatballs starter and shrimp pasta main were both exceptional
It was extremely humid in the restaurant, the windows were fogged up and so loud we couldn’t hear eachother from across the table. Food was good but not as special as I’d hoped, based on other reviews. We were so uncomfortable with the humidity and volume it was hard to enjoy the meal.
We went to their new location for our first visit. The food was exquisite and we loved the restaurant ambiance. I would have given the whole experience 5 stars but it was so hot in the dining area that we couldn't enjoy the experience because we were hurrying to leave. There is absolutely no parking either so walk or use a ride share service.
What a great spot! I took my fiance there for her birthday dinner. The food is soooo good! The place is fancy enough to dress up a little too! But the most important thing is how awesome the staff is there! A++ on service. Our glasses of wine and water were never empty. Our server was super helpful and helped us pick our dinner and wine. The kitchen sent out some yummy apple slices with some tasty fancy looking stuff on em and a scoop of ice cream with a candle on it at the end of our meal. A real nice touch. It was also cool that the server had a sense of humor and did a great job at making us feel comfortable. Will definitely be coming back for more of that pasta and that ssssuper tasty steak! Soooo goooood....
Fantastic meal great service
I jumped on an opening for Thanksgiving dinner when I saw it. I love this restaurant, and hadn’t been in awhile due to how popular it’s become and how hard it is to get a reservation. The special price fixed menu was wonderful. Not a bad flavor to be had! Surprisingly filling even though their portions are smaller! We ended up taking half our filets home. Highly recommend for a special occasion or any night you can get in.
We had a lovely Thanksgiving dinner here and everything about the meal felt perfect to us. The staff were all welcoming, the food was delicious, the other patrons were very civilized (the word civilized sounds like a strange word to use but it’s true - in some restaurants the people around you can ruin a meal), and the service was excellent. I’ve been coming here since the restaurant opened and have never had a less-than-great experience.
Excellent pasta, best in SF!
Seasonal specials plus an outstanding menu. Top pick for me every time I’m in town.
Appetizer took very long to come to the table to the point the kitchen brought us out something before hand that we had not ordered. Nothing special about the service or the food.
Fantastic restaurant - the look, the feel, the food, the wine are all top-drawer. Highly recommended.
We always dine at Seven Hills whenever we visit San Francisco. Feels like a cozy neighborhood restaurant but the guests are from all over the city and world. You can actually have a conversation even though the restaurant is small and intimate.
The food is always fabulous and service has always been professional and friendly. Our team member was Lewis the other night and all of his recommendations were terrific Lewis even gave us his short list of recommended restaurants.
Another great dining experience and looking forward to our next visit.
Seven Hills is absolutely my favorite restaurant in San Francisco... Love it, love it, love it!
Excellent meal and lovely touches as it was a anniversary meal , highly recommend it to anyone visiting San Francisco , will definitely go back
Absolutely amazing meal! All the ingredients and technique were some of the best I've ever had in the city. Definitely go. You owe it to yourself to see what chef Tony is up to.
Great food! Hard to get a reservation sometimes but the food is worth it!
Food was amazing! We booked our next reservation before we left!
