Seven Canyons Restaurant and Bar
Great food and great atmosphere
Service was terrible but not due to the servers because they were trying! The restaurant was understaffed even though they knew it was Valentines Day and had a full dinner service booked! No one to greet us either! No waiter assigned to our table until we asked 15 minutes later. Food was good but overall it wasn’t a pleasant experience. Also for evening dinner service please turn down the bright lights!
Wonderful food and overall atmosphere; serve staff were courteous and professional, however wine was presented at an incorrect temperature and wait times for food were extremely long.
Took my boyfriend here for a date while visiting Sedona and the food and atmosphere was amazing! Renau was our waiter and he was very helpful in deciding what to drink and food! Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a nice dinner away from the hustle and bustle.
Staff was amazing, the best service we have ever had. Food was great. The location is out of town, but the views and the location are worth the extra 5min from town. Highly recommend for sunset wow!!!
Tasteless food. The food took forever to get to our table even though there was only one other table in the entire restaurant.
Thank you for your review Mellissa. We apologize for the experience you had. We addressed the staff that provided slow service and are working with the kitchen to improve the food quality.
I made reservations for my family of five at this restaurant about two weeks prior to New Year's Eve. On 12/30, I received a voice mail from Sydney that the restaurant could "no longer accommodate my reservation.... they ended up filling up with member reservations." At this point, of course, other restaurants were filled on this busy night. This was not only unprofessional but just unkind business. I've never had this happen anywhere in all my years of making reservations. I do not understand accepting reservations via Open Table if you are a member-only restaurant. Doing this in case your members do not come is a shady business practice. I would avoid this restaurant as a non-member.
We deeply apologize for your experience Willa. We are open to the public, while we keep tables reserved for our members. We have identified where our overbooking occurred and set up new protocols to ensure it never happens again. I know that doesn't change what happened to you. Please know we strive to provide a great experience although we are not always successful. Thank you for your feedback.
We were there on the day after Thanksgiving, when snow had closed down quite a bit of the town. We wanted a place with a fireplace and they seemed like a good choice. We were wrong – they were an EXCELLENT choice. Even though many of the wait and kitchen staff had been unable to make it in because of the snow, Dave (the GM) was there to make us feel more than welcome, to give us a table by the fire, and to serve us a fabulous lunch. Excellent views, a warm and inviting place to lunch on a cold, not-yet-winter by definitely wintery, day. Highly recommend!
We love this restaurant. The view is outstanding. We did notice on this visit that the food is not quite as good as it was since the new chef took over. It's the same menu, but not as exceptional as it was under the past chef. Three of the bottles of wine on the menu we selected were not available which was a disappointment for this level of restaurant. Service & decor is still outstanding.
Lodge/clubhouse style with large patio for dining & hanging out. It is a set menu - not very imaginative, but what we had was good. WARNING - they add a mandatory 20% service charge to your check, which is not disclosed anywhere ahead of time.
The place appears very new — service timing of courses was way, way off (too slow by 20 minutes at times, too fast at others). Food was average for the cost. Location and views were beautiful.
We dined twice at this facility for breakfast and lunch the day we golfed. Breakfast was good and very quiet while lunch was packed so we sat at bar for our reservation which was fine. The server was The same and very nice both times, however at lunch my husbands sandwich came out with a condiment it was not supposed to have (Not even on the menu) and he sent back which he hates doing but he doesn’t eat what was on the sandwich. It came back with a new top bun but the same sandwich which still had the Remains of condiments throughout the food. My husband didn’t say anything the second time and barely ate it so they did not have the opportunity to make right the second time since they failed miserably the first. For such an expensive and high end establishment this was really not acceptable.
Service was not very good, waitress couldn’t answer questions. A nice gentleman, not even our server refilled my drink twice and asked us several times if we needed anything. Food was terrible, had the steak, cooked medium to medium rare when I asked for medium well. It had a lot of fat and gristle and not much flavor. Mashed potatoes were average, carrots barely cooked. My wife had chicken Marsala, basically pasta with ketchup with a hunk of chicken on it. Had the butternut squash soup, it was delicious but only warm, not hot. The bread and butter where about the best part of the meal.
The views were amazing. There was heat on the patio, and nice fire pits. The place is gorgeous. Go in, take pictures, have a water and get out.
They added a 20% tip to our bill, there was only 2 of us, and maybe 10 other people in the place, no need to do that.
With so many other spectacular eateries in Sedona, this is a place to avoid.
Beautiful setting good food and service. Night recommend
My boyfriend and I live in different cities so we don’t get to see each other often. We came to Sedona for 10 days and chose this Restaurant after driving to see Rachel’s Knoll.
We got serious special treatment as we were only ones there after a Wedding event!
I think our waiters name was Devon (a sweet young man recently moved to wait staff). He treated us so fine!
Our dinners were great, Jim got steak and Caesars salad, I got the steak salad! We loved the food, view, and certainly the excellent exclusive treatment.
Typical golf club fare. Not much happening at lunchtime this time of year. Perhaps it is busier seasonally. I understand dinner is much better. That menu seemed more interesting so I might try again next time I am in the Sedona area.
Quiet, great scenery, enjoyable food, good service!
Excellent dining experience. The pasta dish is amazing. Great quality with every meal we had. The service was wonderful & the scenery outside was outstanding. We'll be back!
Food and view were excellent! Service was slow- restaurant was not busy so it was surprisingly slow service. Wait staff never asked us if we wanted a second drink or coffee post meal. Expensive for the whole experience.
Over the top delicious food, excellent value, extremely friendly and attentive staff. Best Mountain View an added bonus
Perfect location - great view
Dining with a View...we booked a reservation for Seven Canyons on Open Table after seeing reviews on TripAdvisor. We arrived for our 5:00PM reservation and the restaurant was deserted, except for one other party. We were greeted warmly when we rounded the bar into the restaurant. It was explained that they only serve dinner on certain nights (and this was not one of them - oops!), but we were invited to order off the lunch menu and told the restaurant is open until 6:00PM. So we stayed, and found a comfortable table in a corner window with spectacular view of red rock formations on two sides, overlooking a beautiful golf course. Our server was wonderful, friendly, informative, and efficient. She even recommended a short drive up the hill after dinner to enjoy the sunset on Rachel's Knoll overlook. We took that drive and had a breathtaking panoramic view at the end of the day all to ourselves.
The restaurant was comfortable. The food was tasty. I had Baja Fish Tacos. My husband had the burger. The peach crisp with vanilla ice cream dessert was made there and delicious. Again, the server made us feel at home and welcome, even so close to closing time. She made a difference for us!
In the future, I need to research to make sure what the dining situation is for the restaurant selected, instead of assuming the hours, etc. I will. In this case, it all worked out in a great way. We dined on good food, with good service, a good view and no crowds in July 2019!
We had to sit outside as they had an event inside
Food was excellent! We had the Caesar salad, strawberry salad and hamburger - all very tasty!
Very nice place. Beautiful views.
The view, staff, and food was amazing! I enjoyed sitting outside with an outstanding cocktail while we waited on dinner. Highly recommend!
Beautiful outdoor setting. I will return for great food and service!
We had a wonderful experience. Food, service and comfort were perfect. The views never disappoint.
Loved it! Cocktails by the fire pit before and after an amazing dinner. Perfect night!!
Staff, food and views are wonderful. Nice surroundings and friendly staff enhance your experience at Seven Canyons. Food was delicious.
The setting is spectacular...incredibly beautiful views surround the restaurant and community. 360 degrees! Restaurant is definitely a clubby atmosphere...heavy dark wood and lux finishes. But the thick framed wood windows block the views! One would think an architect here would have designed a building with frameless tall windows and dining space almost in the round so that anywhere you sat you would be surrounded by the gorgeous views. So go on a sunny day and sit on patio. Food was mediocre at best. My med rare burger was actually burnt black. Very disappointing.
Dont forget to check in at the gate.
Fabulous patio with exceptional service from Rachael. Thank you for making delicious drinks and letting us know about the area.
The view is amazing! The service was very attentive without being intrusive. The price for the quality of the food we received was excellent. They even had a decent kid's menu. We visited on a busy, holiday weekend and had no trouble getting a reservation. I feel like this must be a hidden gem!
This is a Golf Club restaurant that caters to golf members and accepts only Open Table App users.
We were 6 people in the party, 1 got sick, 1 returned the food, I had a burger (and it's hard to mess it up) and it was OK. The kids were OK.
Location is great and if don't go by night you may even enjoy it. We've been at night. The staff made an effort, but it was end of the day, they were tired and they showed it.
Overall, OK, but I will not go back.
We had an excellent lunch on the outside deck - outstanding views to match our food.
