Decor: Sette Osteria has an open kitchen and an action station viewable by guests. Pizzas are cooked in a wood-burning pizza oven.
The best decor in a restaurant is people. Windows give guests a view of the active passing scenes on busy Connecticut Avenue and R Streets. And, people walking by are able to view a very inviting and appealing restaurant. The decor is soft and appealing but still carries a theme of sophisticated Italian culture and international buzz. Guests can view the young people going in and out of the chic clothing stores G-star and Cove
Bottomless Weekend brunch $15 (2 hour) and daily Happy Hour.

Seated at 655pm for 7pm resy. Server first approached at 715pm and we ordered cheese plate and Montepulciano. Wine was significantly warmer than room temp but gradually cooled in outdoor setting. Both were tasty. Entrees (medium rare filet mignons) arrived before soup / salad. Of course, when we finished soup/salad, we received same steaks that sat beneath heat lamp and were a solid medium well by time of first bite. Server apologetically offered comp desserts which I readily accepted in the hopes of saving the “just meh” experience.
Food was great, service so friendly, and the drink prices are such a great deal! It just took us awhile to get our check and often times things like our food and plates/ silverware was almost sent to wrong table. Outside can be alittle loud because on Connecticut but honestly such a wonderful time!!
Mad average. Good wine list but food is mediocre. Service fantastic do not sleep on these days waiters.
Restaurant did a good job with safety protocols. Liked that the menu was on an app.
They didn’t even acknowledge us we were sitting at the table for more than 20 minutes... very disappointed... it was a really awful feeling
Service excellent. Very nice outdoor seating. Delicious Chicken Milanese with arugula.
Thank you for the great meal and service Emilija - The outdoor patio is great!
Always a solid choice!
Our only problem was that it got very cold. They will need to get heaters and maybe curtains if they want to stay open once it's cooler outside. (We didn't want to eat inside.) I think the city might provide heaters for restaurants so they can stay busy.
We wanted to stop for italian food on our trip to Washington DC and came across to Settle Osteria.
From the first step in we were immersed in a warm wood burning smell of a pizza stove. Service was fast and very friendly. Food was like we are back in Rome. Pasta, pizza, salad... Every dish was so delicious. I regret I did not make any pictures...
Sette makes me feel safe and welcome during the pandemic. Thank you!
Great bottomless mimosa brunch.
We return to Sette Osteria every time we visit Washington, at least twice annually. The food is always good, and the Dupont Circle location is perfect. The outdoor dining area is just right.
Only problem this time was that our server brought one wrong entree. It was quickly fixed.
We'll be back next visit.
Food was not authentic, not fresh, half of it wasn’t even good, bad service, lots of excuses
A great place for outdoor eating, while the weather lasts.
Good food. Decent outdoor space. Good service. Calamari Fritti was nice. Veal piccata really good.
We went for brunch and it was amazing! Outside and all tables safely distant!
Bottomless mimosas are $15 which is a great deal in DC and the waiter was very timely and definitely got full value.
The food was also great which is shocking for brunch places with good deals usually.
My friend and I split the half portion of gnocchi (big size still) and the breakfast flatbread with sausage, mushroom and artichoke.
Both were great and good size!
Really enjoyed it a lot!
They do a great brunch! Really fun and definitely felt safe with covid rules and all.
Outdoor seating, pretty reasonable COVID precautions. Even though the menu is pared down for COVID, pizzas and flat breads were pretty good. Lunch service was quick and attentive.
Went for Labor Day brunch and the food was honestly very mediocre. They burnt the crab cakes and I ordered a brunch burger which came with absolutely nothing other than the meat and egg. It was not the best food in my opinion.
Great food. Great outdoor seating. Quiet but at the same time very close to busy area.
Hector is the best server I've ever had. The whole staff communicates and works together as an amazing cohesive unit. Best brunch place in DC
Food is dependable, always very good. Outdoor seating was well spaced. The only negative was our server, who was distracted, forgetting the drink one of us ordered, serving spoons, not checking in tosee if we needed anything. It was still a good evening but more attentive service would have made it better.
I love the calamari and zucchini, really delicious like a light tempura. The Montenegro Mule is my new favorite cocktail.
Service, food and atmosphere excellent. We have been customers for more than 15 years.
The food was awful
Love the brunch at Sette Osteria, they have great drinking (and bottomless is only $15). The food can be kind of pricey for what it is, but it taste excellent. I will always recommend this place for brunch.
Great setting. Outdoor seating. Service was wonderful. Bottomless mimosas. Eggs Benny was delicious!
Very pleasant outdoor seating. Had a great restaurant week menu.
When you're looking for an Italian restaurant, this is the kind of eatery that meets your expectations -- and more.
It was our parents 50th anniversary and our family of eight requested two tables of four near each other so we can be together. We made two reservations, each for four people, adhering to the new coronavirus rules but indicated in the notes and called to let them know that we would like to be as close as possible. When we arrived, the hostess shows us the two tables and they were nowhere near each other. In fact there were tables on either side of the tables she recommended, but they were taken. In addition, one of the tables didn’t have any people seated at it but was supposedly reserved. I explained our situation and the hostess seemed indifferent even though we had called in advance and made reservations. Needless to say, we were very disappointed. We decided to leave the restaurant and go across the street to La Tomate where they not only took us last minute but celebrated with us. This is not the first time Sette has disappointed us. Their lack of customer service and care will be their downfall.
We booked for the outdoor seating with coverage - all needed on a summer night during covid. But we were wowed by the food, drinks and atmosphere. Great Saturday night dinner out!
Went for bottomless brunch- waiter was using 1 pitcher of mimosas for ALL the tables and was touching the pitcher to the rim of everyone’s glasses which is HORRIBLE during corona. After I said something, he made an effort to not touch the glasses again. Then, after an hour when he saw we were more tipsy and relaxed, he started touching all the rims AGAIN! I spoke to the manager who was very nice and extremely apologetic and served us the mimosas herself afterwards. I just hope they take this seriously and don’t continue putting everyone at risk. This discourages me from going out to restaurants period
The restaurant is doing a thoughtful and careful service during this time. Tables are spaced, servers are gloved and masked and we followed suit as they served us. Our shared arugula with prosciutto and mozzarella was delicious as were our pasta dishes.
We showed our waiter our $50 Open Table reward card at the very beginning of our visit and he said he would take care of it with the check. We presented it again when we got the bill and he took it with our credit card snd soon came back and told us they were not accepting this reward card. The old bait and switch. He could have told us up front they weren’t honoring this Open Table credit but they waited until the end of our meal to let us know they weren’t honoring this credit which they were supposed to. Very dishonest and deceptive.
Consistently very good, before and during the pandemic. Great patio.
Great food always!
Pretty good outdoor seating for pandemic times. The pizza dough was flat and lacked flavor, but the cocktails were excellent
Great outdoor patio and great pizza, eggplant Parmesan and pasta!
Sette Oseteria is doing everything to serve our neighborhood with great food and service as fine as always. Everyone at the restaurant is wearing masks and the restaurant has set up seats taking into account social distancing. I hope everyone will support the restaurant in this time of COVID19.
There were umbrellas to block the sun, digital menus to minimize contact, outdoor seating (though it might be less than six feet between parties). The service was great, food and drinks came out quick and tasted great.
