   One of my favorite DC restaurants. Whenever I’m in town, I go for the Ravioli Della Nonna.

   Food came very fast and my in laws truly enjoyed the food! Healthier choices for kids would be great but they aren't complaining about pizza and pasta! Overall I would come again.

   I am afraid Covid had an impact. The kitchen was slow and the usual food didn’t taste as usual. Perhaps the primary cook was absent? Please do not change recipes!! The lady serving, organizing, doing basically everything except cooking was awesome. She is holding the fort for the restaurant for sure. I continue going there because the restaurant has been good over the years and it’s important to keep good people and good restaurants in the neighborhood.

   service was glacial! there weren't many tables occupied when our group of 7 came but one of us had to stand and specifically get the waiter on multiple occasions to order (we were waiting nearly 10 min), request extra cheese, and get the bill. the reservation asked if this was for a special occasion, for which we said yes: 'happy birthday martin.' the staff never acknowledged that we were there for a special occasion/birthday!

   Very pleasant atmosphere. Not crowded in late evening. Food was well prepared, tasty, and well presented. Good variety of pasta and other dishes. Service was excellent. This is not a fancy restaurant, but provides good food and ambiance at a fair price.

    Amazing food, my favorite was the ravioli and the tiramisu. The best tiramisu I’ve ever had (which is very impressive) and a giant portion size. Will definitely be coming again soon!!

    Great affordable brunch, drinks were delicious, bottomless is definitely worth the price. Crab cake Benedict and crab omelette were amazing. Butter flatbread is a great shareable option as well!

    I was back at Sette Osteria for the first time in a long time with a friend in town for a meeting. I wondered how things had fared in the aftermath of the pandemic, and I was not disappointed. We started with a salad, the spinach for my friend and the arugula for me. For a main course my friend had the tuna special and I order the pasta cacio e pepe. We were both completely satisfied. The pasta was cooked al dente and the sauce was perfect. Afterwards we enjoyed a digestivo. The service was attentive. It was good to be back and to have a relaxing and tasty dinner. I'll be back again soon.

    My lasagne was good. My wife’s veal Marsala came in sauce that was quite watery and the veal and potato’s were virtually tasteless. Very disappointing. The server was excellent.

    Restaurant Week menu was pretty good. Salmon was nicely done on the rare side and very flavorful. Butternut squash soup was good and generous portion. Their sister restaurant used to source their bread from Firehook. Unfortunately, the only bread offered upon request was pizza crust. The crusty Firehook bread with olive oil was missed.

    We shared a few small plates and appetizers. All tasty and flavorful, though arancini and suppli are traditionally round and not oblong. Loved the sausage with broccoli rabe, fettuccine bolognese, and polpette. I was surprised by the small crowds on a Tuesday night.

    Dinners were excellent for this moderately priced establishment. The waiter did a good job considering he was the only one on the floor serving tables and acting as the bartender as well. I understand that likely there were more customers than they anticipated for mid week dining. We were all very pleased with our dinners.

    My first middling experience at Sette. I'm going again on New Year's day as a many year tradition. I can decide then if it was just an off day or the portion size and value have declined.

    Wanted to find a new place to eat! Delicious food, and recommend for others. The only issue we had was we had to remind our waiter we ordered an appetizer so that didn’t come out until 20 minutes after our meal. Also we didn’t get any table bread, which I assumed was a staple at Italian restaurants

    Nice, warm atmosphere which makes it a great meeting place for friends. The food selection is quite good. The service we received on Friday was exceptional. One of my guests can only eat pureed and liquified food. She order the lentil soup thinking it would suffice. Unfortunately, she could not eat it. The manager took the item off our bill--such a lovely gesture.

    I dined at this restaurant based on my friend's recommendation with my sister visiting from California. To say this restaurant is nothing short of perfection is to not give it proper justice. We both fell in love with the restaurant and I will visit again when am back in town. The ambiance is very casual and cozy, but packed with a lot of interesting people--including diplomats. We ordered the branzino and the NY Strip steak--both were perfection. The Branzino comes whole (I would not have ordered if I read the menu correctly) and does have some bones. The dessert was tiramisu and it was freshly made-delicious! For drinks we had sangria which was not typical--less sugary and mostly red wine--I would skip this next time. The value and quality of the food is stupendous. Benito was our server and he was delightful and attentive. I can't wait to return. It was absolutely magnificent. I highly recommend it.

    Sette Osteria has become our favorite place to go after a morning visit to the Phillips Collection. The food is excellent, the service is flawless, and the ambience is pleasant and relaxing. The Ravioli della Nonna are delicious as are the desserts.

    Enjoy nice wine with spinach/shrimp bruschetta. Excellent way to start. Cooked perfectly and bread was so tasty!!! Main meal was pizza sausage and broccoli rab and fettuccine bolognese. Excellent service and food.

    Service was poor and very slow even though there weren’t many people there. Food was very mediocre - it tasted like frozen meatballs and calamari - and very overpriced for the quality. Bathroom was also not what I would expect for the price of the items. Would not recommend.

    Casual-but-nice atmosphere. The cheese plate had good variety, as did the pizza list. The filet mignon was great and flavorful, albeit the most expensive thing on the menu. The entree prices aren't bad for the neighborhood, but no free bread is a big bummer.

    Been going to Sette since 2005 but haven't been there since 2019. Management and almost the entire staff have changed. Checked in, manager told us to choose any table, Panera bread style. Overall cleanliness is subpar, the bathroom reminded me of a public one (no need to go into details). The service is one of a fast food restaurant, no one checks on you. The food was good but nothing compared to how it used to be. For the price, there are many better options in the city. For us, this place is history.

    I've been here for lunch twice, and it's great. Excellent veal, with well-prepared veggies (I enjoyed the potatoes in particular). To give a fifth point, I'd have to go back for dinner (I may just do that! :)). Certainly Sette is a fine resource for Dupont Circle diners. You needn't hesitate.

    Ordered the spaghetti alla carbonara. Big mistake. Bore no resemblance to anything approaching the real thing. And did not taste good. Avoid that dish at all costs. Don’t know what I was thinking. Hoped for the best, I suppose.

    Cesar salad was pretty bad. The croutons were soft which means a large batch of salad was prepared before-hand and served as needed; the salad was tasteless. The pasta course was very good as was the desert. The service was friendly but slow. The value was just not there; much too expensive. I don't think I'll return.
