Executive Chef Avishar Barua’s creations are both balance and tribute to his Midwestern upbringing and Bangladeshi roots. His fresh interpretation of familiar flavors is the culmination of an impressive career, with roles at New York’s Mission Chinese and WD-50, and locally at 1808 American Bistro and Veritas. At Service Bar, Chef Barua and his team elegantly translate the foundations of great cuisine into inventive dishes.
Full dinner service is available at the main bar, two large community tables (referenced as *Counters), and a variety of smaller individual tables that accommodate 2-6 guests.
Beautiful and comfortable ambiance. Incredible menu. Had two Vietnamese inspired dishes that were remarkably authentic and amplified. Best restaurant in the city because of the consistency of the quality in every dish.
Service was excellent, present but not overbearing. We had a great time
Excellent meal and service. All around great experience.
The service was excellent; very accommodating to our preferences. The food was superb; one of our entrees was truly the best I’ve experienced anywhere.
Great food and drinks! One of my new favorites in Cbus.
Great vibe all around! Delicious drinks and food!!
Upon arriving the hostess pretty acted annoyed we were there. No one approached our table for about 12 minutes or so. When our server did arrive we asked him about two wines were considering. His repose was "wine isn't really my thing" The service continued to be pretty bad the best of the meal. The food however was very good, interesting and the vegetarian options were done great as well. Overall, really good food, but given the prices they are charging the service isn't acceptable. It wasn't just our table, we observed a number of other tables waiting longer than us for service. The place was about half full when we arrived and was more full when we left.
Didn’t get served and only had 1 glass of water on the table for 2 of us. After waiting 30 minutes with no service, we left. It was our anniversary
Awesome food and bourbon, great date night!
Food was outstanding
Great food and service. The brisket crunch tacos are one of the best things I’ve ever eaten.
Amazing meal! Everything all 4 of us had was delicious and they were able to accommodate both the gluten free and dairy free needs we had
Amazing food and unique, innovative dishes. Don't be dismayed by a smaller menu, because everything on it we ordered (Cheese & Pouf, Burger, Short Rib Tacos) were extremely good.
All in all it was one of the best meals we’ve had in Columbus. Food was awesome, from the lamb dumplings to the duck and shrimp and grits to the caramel apple dessert. Each and everyone was well prepared and presented. Service was great - Brittany did an awesome job. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be back!!
The drinks are amazing, but the food is just not that good. Waaaaay too overpriced for the quality of food. I would definitely recommend it as a place for cocktails, but the food is just mediocre, and definitely overpriced. I went the first week it opened, and was disappointed eight the food, so I thought I would give it a second try after all the great reviews. I still feel the same: drinks are amazing, food is mediocre at best.
It was my birthday and Service Bar absolutely lived up to all the hype I heard about it. Beautiful venue, amazing food, wonderfully crafted cocktails, and stellar service. Couldn’t have asked for a better birthday dinner location. Thank you!
Spectacular and unique dishes. Gin cocktail was one of the best I’ve ever had. Staff was knowledgeable and friendly. We sat on the patio and then moved to the bar. Very memorable experience.
Service Bar lives up to the hype. Excellent food and service. The food was a step above anything else in Cbus but at a reasonable price for the quality.
Great food as always, Service Bar is always among the best meals you'll get in Columbus
What a fantastic place. Wonderful, creative food. Great vibe. Our server was awesome. Wish I lived closer to Columbus so I could eat here more often.
This is the best restaurant in Columbus, hands down
Had a wonderful time and the drinks food and service was outstanding!
First time visitor and I was not disappointed! I don’t write reviews often, but the brisket is amazing!!! One of the best things I’ve had! Friendly staff and great atmosphere!
The food and service were excellent. Innovative, delicious. A foodie’s dream come true.
We loved Service Bar. Great food and cocktails with a cool atmosphere. We will definitely be back!
Really just so good and just one of the best dining experiences in the city, my second visit here and it was even more amazing the second time around. Cheers
Great food. Great service. The cheese and poof was a big hit and started our late night dinner out perfectly. Everything was great. Will definitely be back!
The Service Bar is a chic and unique new restaurant located in Middle West Spirits. The staff were incredibly helpful, open, and kind. The food was delicious and completely unique - not like any other place in Columbus. The food was high-class but incorporated elements of less elegant dishes - like the tacos and pork rinds. I would highly recommend getting drinks while at Service Bar due to it's location in the distillery. It is a rather upscale and expensive dining experience, but if that is something you enjoy and can afford- I would definitely recommend.
Wonderful food (and drinks). Unusual (I guess eclectic is the proper word) menu, wonderful staff explained very well. Will certainly go back again.
One of my favorite restaurants in Columbus
Everything was fantastic from the vibe to the service and top notch food! Love the secret kitchen menu on Instagram too!
The food was exceptional. We had the Brisket tacos. Amazing.
The food, drinks, and service were outstanding! Our server was very knowledgeable and able to make great recommendations. Would highly recommend
We did the distillery tour first. It was great! So informative. Dinner and service were perfect until the hostess collided with the server and spilled part of the wine and 2 drinks all the way down my husband’s back. He was soaked the whole meal. Nothing was said about a cleaning bill, taking anything off the bill like drinks, free dessert. In fact, I was SHOCKED when I was charged $.75 for club soda and $2.75 for tonic. That was a vodka soda and gin and tonic. I have never seen that done before. We have the table service chicken which was very good. Again, I was just surprised there was no mention of any compensation, free something, T-shirt, dessert, for the spillage on my husband.
Great restaurant in Columbus. I particularly liked that they coursed out all our appetizers.
Very slow. Waited over an hour for food. Ordered “puff and pimento dip” while waiting heavy and fatty. Could have served 8. The “pork and noodles” was unimpressive with noodles clumped together and only 3 small fatty pork cubes. Drinks were decent. Spent $130 for an appetizer, 2 meals and 3 drinks. Left dissatisfied
This was a birthday celebration—Service Bar did not acknowledge the occasion (which was fine), but they did honor my request for booth seating. Thanks, Service Bar! Food was great, as always. Our server, Chris, was attentive, helpful, and really pleasant.
First time at Service Bar was a fantastic experience. We were staying close for a concert and saw this place, so my girlfriend and I decided to check it out. It did not disappoint! Our server Andy was very knowledgeable, yet didn’t push a conversation with us, which was exactly what we needed. Their house Old Fashioned may be the best I’ve ever had. I had their Cheesy Brisket crunch and my girlfriend got the Brassacas (breaded cauliflower and broccoli tossed in general Tso’s sauce, see picture) and we both raved about our food. This place was a fantastic find, especially on a whim. Any time we are back in Columbus, we will definitely be back!
The food was great and the menu was unique. It’s a little tight for space.
