Instagram worthy with excellent food and service along with great prices
Painfully small portions for the price. Service is very slow. Restroom is far away and lacks paper towels. Hard to locate entrance to restaurant. Very noisy, but interesting decor. The rooftop garden aspect is lost at night because you cannot see out. The food is good, but it feels odd to spend so much money and leave hungry.
It was okay! I didn’t like the paper flowers and leaves. I thought it’d look like something you get at hobby lobby. Food was super pricey and very small portions. Don’t get the steak they only served 5 slices for $29 that’s just ridiculous. Definitely need money money to dine at this place. Just too pricey for my taste.
Saw our waiter two times, when we were seated and when we ordered. Anything else we needed we had to grab people as they walked by.
Heard good thing about this restaurant on tik tok and when my boyfriend and I visited nyc. We wanted to check the place out. Lucky we reserve a table ahead of time, people front of didn’t and they left (I think they only allow reservations only)
When we got seated, we had to sit with people less than a feet away. I could hear the conversations from the people we sat with. Sitting was a terrible experience. However, we order the pollo and mash potatoes — it was delicious! If you’re going with a large group you’ll be seated in a private table vs two people you’ll be seated with random people.
Although the ambience is still great, it seems the food quality and service have gone down. We felt as though we had 5 different waiters. It took forever to get two glasses of water just to begin. The burrata and asparagus starters were good. The rest was not. Everything was overly salted and smothered in cheese. I remember this place being very good. I'll stick to drinks there but not a full dinner.
It was fun and good service. The people there were so nice to us and treated us. Couldn't have been a better time all around, thank you!
I was expecting the decor to look a lot better as it did in the picture but so disappointing the top of the foliage with fake paper in the picture it looks so cute but not in person so disappointing
Great place for lunch. They’ve started changing the decoration for spring.
I wanted to come for the ambience but the winter deco was already taken down. The food was very expensive, small portions and very unimaginative. If I were to return, it would be only in summer for the bar.
Pretty weak food, fair service and decent ambiance. Nothing to crave about or remember. A solid mediocre. If I ever went again, it would be for drinks by the bar, not food.
Amazing food, amazing service . Thought it would have looked nicer but I think they may have been going through renovations . It was a bit loud but overall a very pleasant experience. Would definitely go back . Food and service was incredible
What a great little spot in NYC. We had a wonderful dinner, some really good drinks and a lot of fun. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. Everything was really great. We would highly recommend a visit to Serra by Birreria for something slightly different than your regular Italian dinner experience.
We went to Serra by Birreria to celebrate my daughter's birthday. We expected an amazing rooftop view, magically decorated for the current season. If you look up the restaurant on line, you would have the same expectation. Instead, the views were fully obstructed by other buildings and they were in the middle of transitioning their decor for the next season, so basically there was no great view and no seasonal decorations. Just a small corner with some lights and benches. We felt rushed from the moment we sat down. Our server was very flat and seemed disinterested in explaining the menu. With that being said, we did enjoy our meal. Portions were small, but tasty. Our overall experience was disappointing.
Our waitress was terrible! Never told us her name, inattentive, pushy and didn’t tell us what cost extra when she offered add ons. When she picked up the check at the end she didn’t even look at us. The manger, Meredith was delightful. She gave everyone complimentary cocktails for the restaurant not being fully decorated. Food was good but overpriced. It’s worth it if you factor in paying to be there.
Our server and service was terrible. We sat for over 30 minutes for brunch without anyone even approaching our table while waiting over an hour for our food. Food was just so-so and the decor was in between seasons so it felt like eating in a barn.
Visit NY often from Dallas to see daughter and friends and this was on our list to visit for awhile based on ambiance and reputation. Unfortunately it wasn’t up to the standards we expected. The atmosphere is unmeasurable! Hands down worth the visit alone. The food wasn’t flavorful and portions are small regardless of the “share” suggestion of our waitress - who acted as though we were an inconvenience and not paying diners. My daughters - all over 21 were treated as children. One that didn’t have ID wasn’t allowed to drink which is the rules but then was watched as though she was on probation for most of the meal to insure she wasn’t drinking. Uncomfortable. Odd. My real problem was that same daughter ordered a hot tea. While we were all served drinks and desert - her tea still had not arrived. But, the check had. The waitress would not return to check on us. When I finally walked over to the waitress area and I asked “where’s the tea” our waitress brought it over and proceeded to add it to the check. Another insult and inconvenience. Might I add it was 9 pm and not terribly busy. We might return for drinks but will save a $500 meal for where we’re appreciated.
We had a nice time. we only ordered appetizers because the full menu was a bit esoteric - nothing truly appealing to eat at the prices they were charging. we enjoyed our cocktails as well. the fried calamari was excellent, but i wished it came with a spicy sauce. the bone marrow butter was a pleasant surprise but the bread was bland. we we had dinner downstairs at another restaurant. this worked out quite well as we were able to experience more that eataly has to offer.
Loved the experience. Took my girlfriend here for her birthday. Had plenty of nice views to take pictures. Very bright and floral.
Waited 30 mins for the table with our reservation. Server didn't check on us much. But the food and the atmosphere were enjoyable, and the other wait staff were fairly attentive.
Great ambiance and service. It's a little loud but great for groups. Food wasn't stellar but ok and of course some of the items we wanted they were out of in the kitchen.
My beet salad was outstanding. I paired it with the black lentils which made for the perfect lunch. Sunny was an excellent server making sure to be attentive and offering good conversation when warranted and giving space when needed. Even as the number of her tables increased, I felt personalized service. Thanks Sunny!
Great atmosphere/ fantastic server/ great food- thanks!
Beautiful but loud. Food was ok - not worth the price.
Beautiful space worth seeing, romantic but also good for friends or family. A bit pricey for what you get, but I guess you're paying in part for the experience! Food was all really good.
The atmosphere is the best part of this dining experience! The decor is so beautiful - no matter the season. We only got the kale salad & cheese board - both we're really good. Great wine as well.
The service was horrible. We went for dessert. There are absolutely no vegan options for dessert. They didn’t even have berries! We also waited for approx 45 minutes for coffee and dessert to arrive at our table. The manager came over and gave us 2 free extra desserts but unfortunately it never got better. Really pretty place but really disappointed with the service and food choices.
It was my second time and because I love the food I recommended it to my friends they said the food were amazing and also the ambiance itself.
So much fun for my daughter’s Birthday!!!
Serra by Birreria may be at Eataly, but it is on a much higher floor, with an exotic/lush decor and a fabulous menu. It was very crowded (in a good way).
Ambiance is a lot of fun and a very cool place to hang out. The food is solid with some very unique options and everything was very tasty. But for how expensive it is, the entrees weren’t THAT amazing. It’s very expensive compared to most other modern Italian restaurants in manhattan. This is a very fun place to hang out and get good drinks and great apps, but unless money is not a concern for you, I wouldn’t recommend for their entrees given the price.
WOW !!! So very pretty ! The staff was just really very accommodating . My daughter has food allergies and we had a large party so we were a little anxious, but everyone from start to finish, was friendly and helpful. The Calamari and Black truffle risotto were excellent . It was a romantic yet fun atmosphere. We had an amazing night! Cannot wait to go back again . Thank you!!
First time dining - date night - excellent experience! Service was great from start to finish. The risotto with shaved truffle is a must with a pairing of the roasted carrots! Such a cute atmosphere for all occasions; definitely returning.
Our overall experience was nice but they could be more accommodating at the hostess desk. We had 2 out of 3 people there and they refused to seat us. Once the last person arrived, they had given our table away and we ended up waiting another 10-15 minutes. I understand why they don’t seat full parties usually but when you have the majority of people there that could be consuming at the table instead of waiting, it does not make sense.
As always a wonderful experience. Wait staff was excellent and food delicious and atmosphere perfect.
Nice relaxing spot to unwind after a busy day in Manhattan. Food was excellent.
The food wasn’t that good. The service and ambiance where excellent.
