Truly an amazing place to eat &take pictures. I can’t wait to come back.
I come here like 4 times a year i was very excited to bring my bf but to be honest the food wasn’t as good as it was before not sure if they changed the chef but it was ok, as well as the service the welcoming was great but service wise was ok , could be better with some great energy
The place is beautiful!!! The decor is very nice, very good atmosphere and the staff was excellent but the food was not delicious. I don't know if I would give it a second chance. The bill wasn't expensive, we were 2 people and we ordered: Burrata, Ravioli di Zucca, Ravioli di Prosciutto, 1 Bloody Mary and 1 beer, total: $103
This was our first time here and it was amazing. the service was so great, the food was delicious (and the wine) and the ambiance was perfect for Fall. Overall an amazing date and we will definitely be returning.
good service, beautiful ambiance that lives up to the hype, and delicious food
The food is fresh but forwhat you pay you do not receive a fair portion. I ordered the pasta and my plate was that of a child's portion for $29. I wish I would have chosen a different restaurant for the money but you live and you learn.
Kind staff, great atmosphere, wine promotion was great
Was a bit hesitant after reading other reviews... Fall drinks were amazing! The portions were perfect and the prices in line for a trendy spot. Don't order the chunk of bread app if you are ordering pasta; you will receive 3 yummy slices of bread with your meal. the butternut squash ravioli is the most flavorful I have ever had (12 ravioli in brown butter) and the Brussel sprouts were addicting!
We traveled from Atlanta to spend a weekend in NYC with our newly married son and made the reservation quite a bit in advance. The restaurant was noisy, delay in food without an explanation, one entry was tepid and portions for pasta were small.
Excellent food, service and drinks. Reservations are a must, marketplace (with bar and persecco station) are excellent to peruse before and after dining.
This restaurant is gorgeous! Not too noisy. The food was mostly delicious except for Scaloppine di Pollo (salty and nothing special). It’s a bit hard to find as it’s tucked inside Eataly market. The first hostess I spoke to hung up on me when I asked for directions. I called the 2nd time, a different hostess answered but she didn’t have a friendly welcoming voice she was like annoyed that I asked for directions. However, our waitress was very friendly and considerate so that made up for the disappointing hostesses experience. Overall, it’s definitely worth checking out when you’re in NYC!
The rooftop was adorably decorated for fall and the food was delicious!
Best steak I ever had! My second time at Serra, and it never disappoints!
Overhyped. Nice place, food was lacking flavor and volume
The rooftop restaurant was beautiful, especially on a sunny day. The food was okay. I went in with higher expectations. The calamari was a little chewy but the steak was really good. The rose wine was room temp and the beer we ordered was flat.
The food and drinks were wonderful, fresh and delicious. The atmosphere was lively. The seasonal themes so enjoyable.
Everything we had was excellent but my wife was a bit disappointed that there was no red sauce for any pasta dishes!
Food was great ,although I was disappointed that they were out of the wine I wanted as well as the entree I wanted.
I find the portions are a bit on the small side. The pasts dishes cost around $25 and up. I was still hungry which should not be the case. I ordered some desserts to fill me up, I was still not satisfied. It took three asks to get some parmesan cheese....
Host downstairs was very rude, and food was just ok but very overpriced for what it is. Ambiance is great.
Inventive presentation, delicious, non pretentious
Loved it!! Decorated so cute for fall. Service and food was also AMAZING!!
the only thing good about our lunch was the service...my salad was wilted from too much dressing and my son's ravioli was an appetizer portion for $29...plus a chunk of bread that we paid for...i guess if we ate all of the bread we wouldn't have noticed the small portions...
looked like there were a lot of tourists dining there so i guess it doesn't really matter if they liked it cause they'll never be back...
big rip off...
First of all they have reservation options until 9:30pm and that's really close to the time the kitchen close. We arrived earlier and the guy downstairs didn't let as go to the restaurant because he said was full. It wasn't true, they had many tables available. We order one pasta and 2 starters. They forgot the pasta and when we ask for it they told us that the kitchen was already closed so we couldn't get it. One of us didn't eat because of it. Overall it wasn't a good experience.
Everything was just okay, food was extremely mediocre, mas produced quality and just ok nothing special would not recommend or go back, very disappointed with food quality, taste and service
Pasta was bland and flavourless although the salmon was very good. We ordered a bread for our starter and it was like a rock.
Below average place. Don’t waste your money here.
The atmosphere made it worth everything. The food tasted ok, and the size of the main dishes are small. For the price you pay I expected more. Overall still a worth while experience
Went today (October 11th, 2021) to celebrate husband's birthday. The ambiance and aesthetic of the place is too die for.. The color autumn leaves is quite beautiful. Our server Uros was a lovely man and was quite helpful in explaining the menu to me since all the foods were authentic Italian. The food came at a very efficient time less than an half an hour for our food. My only complaint is too little amount of food for the very expensive meal. My non alcoholic drink was $36.00 and my meal was $29.00. Suggestion give us a little bit more on the plate for that price.
Literally the best experience ever!!! Service was terrific, food was amazing, decor was exceptional….. everything was fantastic!!!
Excellent food in a beautiful rooftop.
The ambiance is very nice. I saw pictures on Instagram and made it a point to go here for lunch when staying in the city. I love that the foliage changes with the seasons, and fall is my favorite season. The vibes were great. However, the food is definitely overhyped in my opinion and is very pricey for the portions. I will say though, I don't need a ton of food and can understand that different cultures have different portion sizes, so if that's the reason why, okay. My overall experience wasn't great in terms of service. Towards the end of my meal, I realized that everyone but my table had bread brought to them when the table next to us was seated and immediately given bread. I brought it up to my server and they passively were like "Oh, sorry" and didn't offer any. It felt like a microaggression given we were the only people of color in the restaurant at the time. I get that it was towards then end of our meal, but we were going to get dessert and they certainly lost more money because of that. There are better Italian restaurants in DC within NYC, including the food downstairs in Eataly itself.
Good decor and ambience - great service - sub-par food though.
Great food and beautiful atmosphere! Service was outstanding!
Food was delicious. Decor was outstanding. Loved the Eataly part downstairs too!
I’ve been to Serra Birreria several times for lunch but this was the first time for dinner. What a wonderful experience! The fall cocktails, the food and ambiance were perfect! We didn’t want to leave. Looking forward to the next dinner.
