Tom douglas’ serious pie, a pizzeria with a bread baker’s soul is located in downtown seattle, ballard, and totem lake. we’re here to serve up delicious salads, and our famous pizzas with blistered crusts, light textured but with just enough structure and bite. our attentiveness to each pizza in the 600-degree stone-encased apple wood-burning oven preserves the character of house-made charcuterie and artisan cheeses from around the world.

    We had a reservation, and did not request outdoors. We were sat outdoors because “that’s all they had“, but we watch them see someone without a reservation indoors right in front of us. The service was just Soso, and I’m not picky. We usually go to Cafe Veloce, but thought we’d give serious pie a whirl. Don’t think we’ll be going back. Cafe Veloce does a much better job, the food is better, the service is better, and the value is better

    The pizza was good but the sauce was very salty .. all pizzas tasted that way so it probably was too much salt in the sauce. I pointed it out but the server just shrugged it off The pizza crust and toppings were good

    Great thin crust crispy delicious pizza. The salads are also good though tad pricey for small quantities of ingredients.

    Really a fabulous fried chicken biscuit with gravy and maple syrup on the side. The best!
