Serena Rooftop, the open-air Terrace Restaurant and Bar located on the second floor of the Hotel. Modeled after Oaxaca’s iconic rooftops, serves cocktails and tropical cuisine for lunch and dinner, focusing on plates that draw from the Caribbean, Mexico, the Mediterranean, and beyond. A domed canopy made of cast iron and strung with twinkling lights and bougainvillea shelters the all outdoor dining area.

Being an all outdoor restaurant we are subject to weather and we will reach out to all guests during times of rain and inclement weather.

**Please note we serve a smaller and more limited menu daily from 3:30PM to 6:00PM for our transition to dinner service.

** During the summer months on Tuesday and Wednesday during our lunch service we will be offering a smaller and more limited menu.

We were very much looking forward to eating here, there are not a lot of rooftop restaurants on the beach. We were seated and the music was very loud. Since we were practically alone I asked if they could please lower the music and was told that they cannot. We asked for cocktails and I asked for mine with little sugar and someone else asked for his with less alcohol and were told that the drinks are premixed not made to order so no they couldn't do that either. We ordered food and it came out almost instantly - always a bad sign. When we ate the bad sign was confirmed. The food was dry, hard and reheated. The cauliflower was soggy and tasteless is was not a roasted caulflower but an overboiled one that is put under a broiler for a moment. All in all very poor meal.

Not a lot of options on the menu, was not offered an option of bottomless mimosas but the table beside me had that option. Chips, salsa and guacamole that was served was watery compared to other tables. They burnt my salmon sent it back but all they did was remake the salmon and microwaved the rest of my food which made my bread hard. This was for my bday and I coulda went somewhere else. Food was blah..

I was disappointed that they moved my reservation from the rooftop to the como como restaurant without advising me (the second day). I got overly dressed for a rooftop experience to celebrate my birthday, to be shifted without notice. Other than that. The food and and service was very good.

Food, drinks and service were all amazing. It started to rain while we were eating and our server immediately moved us somewhere with an umbrella and offered to get us new food. I have been here so many times and continue to come here because i love the ambiance of not just the restaurant but the entire hotel. Highly recommend this place!

We had a reservation for Serena but ended up at the Como Como restaurant because of the weather. The food was pretty good but the service was negligent and the restaurant itself was quite dirty. I don’t like leaving negative reviews but I was very unimpressed and disappointed that my last dinner in Miami was so lackluster.

The fish tacos and baked clams were amazing. The pulled pork tacos however were dry. The food took a while to come out despite the fact that the place was relatively empty especially the guacamole. The drinks were delicious but a little on the weak side. Overall beautiful place. Very nice staff and would try again.

The setting on the rooftop is beautiful and our server, Andres, was awesome. There was a live DJ playing various types of music. Enjoyable, not too loud. It was quite busy for a Thursday so I would recommend a reservation. The food was well seasoned but the desserts were the highlight.

Expensive items that aren’t really anything special. The food tasted fine for the most part, nothing extremely unique about the flavor profiles (I had the shrimp tostada which the waitress had recommended and the barbacoa entree). The drinks are astronomically priced. Drinks that are $18 that are more in the $8-$10 price range imo.

I like the place, its very pretty. However it was a hot night, our table didn’t have a fan so it was a little uncomfortable with the sweat. But overall the drinks and food were great. Will go again but will seat inside.

The restaurant is very esthetically pleasing. The staff were somewhat friendly when we arrived and our server started off very nice but seemed to ignore us after our appetizers. They did surprise our friend with a special occasion treat which was nice and free chips and salsa as we were guests of the hotel. The food was just okay for the price and there isn’t a lot of variety. Two of our guests did get sick immediately after eating there. I probably wouldn’t return.

Restaurant let us know last minute about road closures which were a nightmare. Finally got there and valet was $27 (before tip) for the 90 minutes we were there. Food was pricey, which I’d expect from a place like this, but was pretty decent. Not phenomenal by any means. Not a lot of options. Other than the ambiance, no real reason to return.

Serena rooftop is located at Moxy. It was cute and the noise level was moderate. We were seated near two fans which was fine. However, it was so close to this large cemented beam that when the sun goes down you can’t see and you can easily trip and fall and get hurt. The service was extremely slow. Our waitress was nice but the actual service was slow. We the tuna tostada it was ok but not worth the price. We also got the chicken enchiladas and the sauce was off or maybe it was the cheese and it was not edible. The rice and beans with it were good. The drinks were good. Overall it was ok. Not worth the price. The view and ambiance was nice however, won’t dine again.
